RE appt/US 11/15....and hopefully OB intake sometime later this month rant: military medicine can be so frustrating with getting appointments, especially OB, so I’m hoping I can pull strings to get everything scheduled early.
I had an infertility consult scheduled for Nov 15 already so we just switched it to a first OB appt. Should be able to confirm the pregnancy is in the right place by then at least.
I had my first prenatal appointment this afternoon. My GP confirmed my pregnancy and handed off all my ultrasound and requisition forms for blood work throughout my pregnancy.
Need to phone tomorrow to schedule my dating ultrasound for sometime between 7-8 weeks.
im in Canada so I’m interested to hear how the appointments differ from the US and other countries (if any here)!
I wish I had a Nov appointment. There is only 1 OBGYN in my county. He's a dude and I generally prefer female doctors but he has 4 female nurse/midwives on his team so I'm going to give him a try. Unless there is a problem, he doesn't want to see you until you are 8-9 weeks along, so my appointment is Dec. 5th. If I don't like him or the practice for some reason, then my other option is to drive an hour each way to appointments so hopefully I like this place.
Ive had 2 blood draws, and the betas looked great (thank god). We have our first US on 11/11 and then will have another at around 8 weeks. As long as all looks good, we will move back to our OB for the remainder of the pregnancy.

Mommy to a super cute havanesse puppy and baby boy!
My first US was yesterday. We have a heartbeat, sac and fetal pole. Measured 6 weeks 4 days. I've never gotten this far in my fertility journey. RE talked about me finding an Ob/GYN which made me a little sad to think of leaving him. Next US 11/21.

I had a preplanned pap that turned to confirming pregnancy October 29th. Now first OB Appointment is in the 15th ultrasound on the 19th! By then I'll be 7 weeks and 4 days. I'm sooooo excited! 😊
I had an HCG quantitative blood draw yesterday and will have a dating ultrasound on 11/21. When I first called the obgyn they didn't schedule me for things until December - intake/medical history call with a nurse on 12/2 and first OB visit and US on 12/16, which I was surprised about how late those were. I'm grateful my gyno called in the extra early appointments to check in on the pregnancy and my PCOS, definitely easing my mind.
Going November 20th. I think I’ll be 7w and some change! I’ve are doing midwives this time! Which I’m excited but sad to change. But for my first 2 we delivered an hour away in Pittsburgh and it’s just not feasible this time.
I’ve got first US on November 21 where I’ll be somewhere between 7-8 weeks! Really hoping everything is healthy and progressing properly 🤞🏻 This whole process is so nerve wracking - especially waiting around just having to trust that everything is OK between appointments. Like, can I hire a personal OB to hang out and reassure me on a daily basis?
I called my OB yesterday, and that thankfully I was able to get an appointment for next friday Nov 22nd. They probably think I'll be somewhere be 6-7 weeks, but I know I ovulated late so I'll most likely be 5-6w. I'm glad the appointment is soon. The waiting was so tough last time.
Second HCG test yesterday came back quadruple what they were on Friday - that'll explain some of the increased symptoms 😅 glad to have that reassurance!
Had my viability US this morning. HB was at 119, which is good for 6w3d
Funny story about how crazy I am... how crazy the hormones are making me? lol DH and I decided to drive separately but I was going to arrive really early b/c daycare drop off with DD went well. He calls me to let me know his battery is dead and his car won't start when I'm at a spot that's packed with traffic and can't turn around. I have time to go back to the house and get him, but for some reason, my anxious brain told me that this was a bad omen and the appt wasn't going to go well. I cried the entire way back to get him, like the crazy person I am Obviously, that dead battery was just a dead battery and has exactly zero to do with how the US was going to go.
@blaf322 congrats on a great ultrasound! I would have gone through the exact same thoughts as you this morning! Also what is with all this crying?...geez
AFM - no ultrasound yet, but I had a good appointment this morning with my GP. Everything looks good, my HCG levels were approx 6500 (had bloodwork done at 5w3d).
also had a PAP done so I’m full on expecting a bit of spotting over the next day or so.
First appt. with the NP on 11/15 and 1st sono on 12/6. Given my age, fertility drugs, several doctors saying I already look preggo, and a super early BFP/high HCG levels, I think it's a decent chance I may be having multiples. Or maybe that's wishful thinking.
Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
First OB visit today! Took a million tubes of blood, got a flu shot, doctor was really optimistic based on my US earlier this week, everything looks as it should. I have a history of epilepsy so I’ll have some extra size measurements as we go along (seizure disorders can cause preterm labor, small babies) but that extra care makes me feel good.
Hubby even got poked too to check titers for immunizations. He grew up in Brazil and has no clue what he was immunized for. He came to the states every few years so I’m sure his parents kept him up to date but without records hard to know for sure. He’s a wimp with needles, poor guy.
Next US on 11/25, hope to see a heartbeat! And next doc appt on 12/11.

My first u/s is 11/19 (5+2) and I’m anxious to confirm just 1 babe in there. Today’s HCG at 4+3 was over 1K, so I’m nervous.
Coffeeand... Congrats on the great betas!
