And on that note, a more serious confession. I feel sooo guilty today ladies. MH has been having a really hard time lately with our IF struggles and he broke down last night in my arms. He is so jealous I have this community to talk to, along with a select few close friends who know we're TTC, and he has nobody that he feels comfortable turning to. He is so lonely and feels so isolated, and even though he talks to me he says he doesn't want to burden me even more with his own fears when he sees me cry every.single.month. and is helpless to "fix" anything. My heart physically aches for him because the pain is just so real. I know there's a board on here for Dads but the last activity on there was in March. And let's face it, dudes just aren't good at talking about this kind of stuff.

I'm going to find him a counsellor to talk to but the point of my story is that I take it for granted how lucky we are to have found each other, and even though I say it in my Ten Things Tuesday I need to say it again: I am so damn grateful for this community. You have saved me, and by association MH, because without you I'd have lost my mind loooong ago.

thank you for understanding my crazy stories about transporting semen, and my rants about Humpy the Dog, and breakdowns over nothing and yet everything at the same time. I don't know how people do this on their own.

Sorry to post and go ladies. Work has been nuts! I really appreciate all the love and the vibes must have reached my ute. 15 eggs retrieved, 13 fertilized and no OHSS!! Tomorrow they will give an update on the number of eggs dividing properly. Transfer should be on Tuesday!!! I will be back on the weekend to catch up on everyone else's news, but thank you again!!

@kiki047 I'm sitting at my desk tearing up as I read this. This makes my heart ache for him, and you, but it's so tragic how real the pain is during IF. It sucks so much that both people end up feeling helpless for one another. I am so sorry he's feeling this way, and you too - of course, but you guys are not alone. I think it's great you are going to find him someone to talk to. It will be so good for him, and maybe it's something you can do together after a few solo sessions. The helpless feeling is the worst. We love you guys!!

@kiki047 Ohhhh friend, my heart aches for you both. I totally empathize, and MH feels similarly, so please know he's not alone. MH keeps asking me if we should just get donor sperm and do an IUI so it would be easier on me, which breaks me a little bit each time. I hate that he's not "supposed to be" as affected by this as I am, when the reality is he wants a family as much as I do. Sending you both my love and good thoughts.

I know we would all do anything to protect our spouses. I sometimes forget that in doing so he also feels like I'm shutting him out. There's such a fine line between sheltering them from the pain and sharing your feelings with them. Unfortunately for him, my feelings come out in the form of tears. Lots of them.
@inthewoods23 oh man, I'd LOVE for a guy to join in here, even just as a lurker but who is willing to identify themselves as such and to ask questions. I feel like someone needs to pop over to the Dads forum and we should hold an open house

@kiki047 Your serious confession really broke my heart as well. I hope you don’t mind, but I read it to my husband and his response was “Send me the info on how to join. I will go get active in the Dads group.” MH loves anything online so I’m sure he will do this within 24 hours. Please do encourage YH to join in there in the Dads group (maybe many of our husbands want to join it?) or even in this IF thread. I honestly wouldn’t mind.
In some of my IF/immunity FB groups there are male & female spouses of the women who are having challenges getting pregnant. We welcome them to share their experiences & ask all their questions. The idea of a male/spouse of person going through IF treatments joining us here doesn’t weird me out at all. Also glad you’re getting him a counselor. Hugs for you both!♥️

I’ve been mostly staying out of this thread because until I start with the RE at the end of the month I always feel like I don’t really have much to add but I had to drop by to tell @kpearse99 how very sorry I am for you. When I first joined here I was so scared and confused and you were the first one to really welcome me with open arms ( all of you ladies have been great she was just first). You helped me find a place here when I didn’t really have anyone to talk to. I have been so so hoping you get your rainbow baby and I’m so so sorry this isn’t your month. Be extra kind to yourself, you have been doing all you can do so have some wine and a face mask.

@kiki047 As we have a SA coming up, your semen story cracked me up. Never have I been so thankful to love in balmy weather! On the other note, what YH expressed is exactly what H has told me at times. It is so hard to be strong for each other yet being open. Thank you for sharing the laughter and struggles and for being vulnerable.

Hey ladies, this may be a stupid question but am I allowed to join you in this group? Ive been dealing with RPL and hypothyroidism, as well as blood issues. I haven't started down the path of IVF yet, so I wasn't sure if that would keep me from joining you here. I just lurked and read most of the comments here and it is comforting to see so many other women dealing with constant Dr appointments to check blood work and the ups and downs of it all. Sorry if I've entered the wrong arena!

@mama_mea I had the same question and hesitation as you when I first joined here. I wasn’t sure that RPL put me here either. Others reassured me that I was welcome. I want to do the same for you.
(And in my scenario, as time went on, all my paperwork at the doctors’ offices has been titled with “female infertility” written all over it, which still feels weird to me. So yeah, I’d say you’re safe here.)

@bows22 DH had 1% morph after not following directions and abstaining too long for the SA. Docs weren’t concerned at all because his other numbers were excellent and even during the first IUI we had 65 mil post wash. It’s worth repeating because it may have a different results. Ordinarily we’d be referred right to IVF with 1% morph at some clinics but *TW pregnancy mentioned*

i have been pregnant 4 times - it’s just that I miscarried 3 times.

All it takes is one good sperm and one good egg!
