DS got a haircut this evening after work and while he desperately needed it, I always am a little sad. He looks so old when it’s not so shaggy!! I like him to have longer hair (not like ponytail long) and DH haaaates it. Sorry not sorry. He can choose shorter hair if he wants it when he’s older!

My boss just asked me to book two trips to London for 2020 and pay for them now so they are in this years' budget. I guess we are using up budget! (And I guess having a baby doesn't exempt me from travel haha). We need to find a reliable babysitter.
@ibabyloveb87 - my mom didn't cut my brother's hair until kindergarten and he asked to have it cut. She saved the long braid. He is now 21 and they were moving and she found it and asked him if he wanted it and he was like, yea, definitely not!

@leksiL oh gosh. Yeah i don’t do that! I kept a few pieces from his first haircut and the rest got swept away with the rest of the day’s haircuts at the salon ha!
I remember my grandmother had a braid in a drawer. Now I wonder who’s it was 😬

When we were cleaning out my grandparents' house, we found a lock of hair from my mom's first haircut. We still laugh about it and call my grandma a creeper sometimes, even my mom.
@TennisLove30 Ugh! I am so sorry. That sounds incredibly uncomfortable.
I'm so over work!!! I keep getting crap piled on me and it seems to be neverending. In theory, everything should have been finished yesterday so we could get it reviewed and pickup changes before sending it out monday. Today I was informed we need to restructure our packages on top of the changes the engineers are still throwing at me. I'm not going to have 50hours of OT this pay period but it will still have plenty of that! I have other projects I'm supposed to be working on too that I've yet to start....ugh I need a clone.
I have the day off to study for my finance and accounting test on Monday but having a hard time getting motivated to start studying. It is nice to have some quiet after so much madness this week.
On a positive note, we got home last night and DD helped me straighten up the entire house! The cleaning people are coming this morning and DH laughs at me for frantically trying to put everything away before. I thought about going to the library to study to get out of their way but it doesn't open until 10 a.m. - what's up with that?? I should have been a librarian

The movers are delivering our stuff today! After a month of sleeping on an air mattress, I will finally get to sleep in my own bed tonight. And also the couch. OMG, the couch. I will be able to lounge!! I plan to spend the long weekend nesting.
Yesterday I was 25w5d. That is the gestation I had my oldest son. During every pregnancy we make a build-a-bear on the day I am the same gestation as I was when I had Caden. We made our last one last night. I feel so blessed and honored to have made it this far in my last five pregnancies. Sorry for the sappy post. The large picture was last night. The ones on the side are a progression from babies #2 to #5 with my oldest.
We finally ordered our new flooring for the family room and bedroom and I can't wait to install it over Thanksgiving. My cat is also going to the vet tonight as a follow up. Emergency vet didn't find any bacteria in his urine. According to Google, the inflammation in his bladder would be caused by stress and is pretty common with older cats. I hope the vet will give him some anti-inflammatory meds and fix this issue because I can tell he is really uncomfortable and using the carpet in the family room as his toilet is driving me crazy. Good thing we're getting rid of the carpet and installing waterproof flooring soon but I still have to clean the carpet everyday with the machine.

Ahh my husband and I have started the process of looking around to refinance. Times like this, I want to be a kid again. lol I just want to magically have my two vehicles paid off and my mortgage payment to be at least the same, if not a little less and to not have to talk to a million people about it.
@rikiteacup Unfortunately that issue (commonly called FLUTD or FIC) is generally a long-term management sort of thing You can treat a flare-up but it’s always going to be an underlying problem that could recur at any time. I hope your vet is able to get him feeling better now and also give you some strategies to avoid future flares.
@bg122785 we are getting ready to refinance too. It’s so stressful to think about but my husband is certain that if we finish one of the basement bedrooms and refi, our home value will majorly increase, our mortgage will drop by several hundred dollars and PMI will disappear. Luckily, we live in an area where the houses are increasing in value crazy fast (houses are going for 20-30,000 more then they were a year ago) so chances are high that he’s right and this is a great idea. It’s just more than I wanted to deal with at 6 months pregnant lol. We’re hoping to live off the money from refinancing though so I can take a break from working and not have to put the baby in daycare 🤞🏻
@bg122785 Adulting is BS! We need to refinance too and have been stalling for a solid 6 months. Honestly I'll probably address it during my leave just because I'll be available to deal with stuff. Not looking forward to the digging of the thousands of papers and proving of moneys and such.... uhhhhhhh
My poor husband. He text me this morning and said he really messed up his back doing deadlifts at the gym. He said he's okay enough to stand and walk but anything else is pain city. I guess he had dropped his house keys on the floor when he got home and they were going to stay there but he ended up using tongs to pick them up, but poor guy had to go to work still luckily they have standing desks!
@TennisLove30 aww we haven’t bought anything for babies yet. I was SO close at a Target the other day looking through the baby clearance rack (there was a cute dress) but for some reason I just couldn’t 🤷♀️ I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t fully acknowledged our impending doom or if I know that once I buy one thing, I won’t stop, haha!
I uh....I fell victim to the target trap today! Haha to be fair...baby girl barely got any clothes at the shower and since weve since confirmed 100% girl and I worked my butt off last pay period....well...there was nothing holding me back 🤣
Also i designed and ordered our christmas cards today! I'm super excited about them!
@TennisLove30@babyroma We picked out some baby stuff at Target today, too. Mostly the non-glamorous stuff like bottles, wipes, nursing pads, a bottle brush, etc. I figured we should grab a bunch now during the veterans day discount. I think between the shower, resale pages, and hand-me-downs from friends we are pretty set for clothes. She'll be a very eclectically dressed baby, but I don't think she'll mind.
You guys are making me jealous. This is my third girl and I want to buy all new stuff, but I just can’t justify it. I’m actually hoping when I start going through baby’s things some of them will be worn out 😂
@doodleoodle, we are having a second girl, but I couldn’t resist the little outfits. Plus, my five year old has a lovey named Mr. Giraffe, so she needed to get her sister a lovey. She named him Mr. Kangaroo for her. ☺️
@babyroma My husband will just roll his eyes at me lol, my MIL already got us a HP onesie. We can always add more to the stash This will be tomorrow's project!
lanie1000 do you mind telling me the name of the app that tracks your period thank you. i have something on my phone called my dayz but it does not send me alert to my phone.
