FFFC 11/8/19

Spill the tea, ladies.
*Confessions not guaranteed to be flame free*

Re: FFFC 11/8/19

  • @emeraldduchess In my old house we had a little gecko I named Gaelon 😂
  • Loading the player...
  • @inthewoods23 YEEEESSSSSS!!! I can’t stand it used in that way, period. Sooooo annoying!
  • *lurking*

@emeraldduchess I love you even more now. I name all the animals!
  • @inthewoods23 and @keikilove, is there a context that you feel like using the word “mommas” is not childish? I’m genuinely curious as my personal pet peeve is when anyone refers to women without children as “mama”.... or even worse when people refer to kids and babies as “lil mama”. It just makes no sense to me! Lol.
  • @krystrist2014 the only time I can think of is probably when it's not used in a question. Well, it's still childish, but a little less so.

I also really dislike momma and prefer mama, in case you couldn't tell by my sn.   :D  They definitely have different meanings... like if one of your friends is all decked out, you could call her a "hot mama" lol... I think mama is kind of endearing... My hubs calls me this in reference to our dog.

I don't mind "hubby" but really like "hubs".    <3   Note:  I usually only reference hubs in writing, not verbally...

  • Speaking of hubbies, my FFFC is that  MH and I are those people who have used every pet name/nickname in the book and the ones that stuck are baby, honey, and sweetheart. I'm annoyed by people who use it around me but oblivious to the fact that I do it too lol.

Also, sorry @kpearse99 @tyrion_ my Christmas lights are blue and white

  • @b_1029 It truly wasn’t aimed at any one person hahahahaha! You know I love you, _underscore_ and all! 😘😄

@krystrist2014 I’m in the camp of ladies above: I go with “mama”, never “momma”, and only use it when I’m speaking to people who are  actually mothers lol.
  • @kiki047 I still like ya! ;)

Also, I like the terms hubby, hubs and mama (not momma though...that's where I draw the line!) :D

    10/28/2019 - IUI #2 (7.5mg of Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN
    11/25/2019 - IUI #3 (7.5mg of Letrozole, Trigger + Crinone after IUI) = BFN

11/1/2020 - At peace with where things are in life and are no long actively TTC. Whatever happens will happen and it will all be okay. <3

  • @bows22 Same! I refuse to answer any question that ends with that statement.
  • @ttcbabyodo I have a very strong aversion to the term "hubby". Like, I get that it's totally normalized, but it annoys me that it's not a shortening of the actual word. Sometimes I call my husband my "husby" as a joke, because at least that's how the first part of husband is spelled.
  • @inthewoods23 I'm not a fan of wifey either... wouldn't buy myself any "wifey" articles when getting married or for the honeymoon.  I'm sorry, but EWWW on the baby girl... that just makes my skin crawl, so creepy.  Only time baby girl is acceptable is the song with Aaliyah "tell me you're that somebody" with that guy singing "baby girl, uh"... haha...

  • @mvt2003 haha! Cute! I don’t normally name them but I get weird attachments to bugs around our place too and hate to kill them. They’re always relocated. We had a golden weaver spider on our back steps for a month that I was so attached to until she left!

@keikilove ANND GO! Annoys me so much. I won’t respond to that childishness. Google that shi*!

My FFFC is that I don’t like the way lip injections look. I understand wanting bigger lips, mine are pretty slim too, but they always look so crazy to me. It’s like they don’t know when to stop. A lot of the time they look overly sexy and it makes me uncomfortable how unnatural they look. 💩

  • Hahaha okay just to give a little background, my initials are MEA, and MH has been calling me "Mia" since the beginning of our relationship when he realized that would be my initials if we got married. The name just stuck.

    TW pg and loss mentioned:

I changed my "knottie" username to "mama" when I got pg the first time around and I didn't have the heart to change it to anything else when we MCd.

I hope you'll all forgive me for my atrocious name! Hahaha! 😅

  • @keikilove no offense taken here! I will think of something for next Friday 😉

@mvt2003 Have you ever read The Secret? It talks about leaving room for whatever you want in your life, like space in your closet for a partner if you’re single, etc. and part of me superstitiously thinks we need to put everything in our office in storage. Part of that is so we can list our house and part of it is the TTC cray cray as we approach a year. PS I hate the terms “cray cray” and “bae” - hell, any popular word / phrase like boogie or VCSO.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

  • “Lurking” you are all too funny! I have to admit I have my own mother as “momma bear” in my phone because my brother and I used to get them momma bear and papa bear things like mugs and t shirts all the time lol please tell me that this is semi acceptable! Or not haha
  • @dawn_tay I think it’s acceptable lol but ... TW for LO mentioned:

we are the bear family, my son gave us the name when MH (His step dad) came into the picture. He started referring to us as the bear family... mama bear, papa bear, little bear (thats him) and Chase and Lola bear (our two dogs). So I’m all on board for the mama thing 😂.
