We got tabletop standing desks at work last week. I think I'm looking forward to this! My goal is to try to stand for 15min every hour because my lower back has been fairly achy lately.
@babyroma we had them at my last job and thought they were great. I didn't use it very often but when I needed it, it was awesome.
I am WTF'ing my H's coworker/friend. She told him she had a miscarriage when they were talking about random stuff. She never tested with a HPT. Her period was just late and **TMI** there were some clots **end TMI**. She also has a hormonal IUD. She loves drama so I am not surprised she would say something like that but good golly, don't go around telling people you had a miscarriage when you have no positive HPT or betas to be sure 100%.

@TennisLove30 I completely agree. I used to LOVE when the time rolled back in the fall. Now it just means my toddler wakes me up at least an hour earlier than usual. I was hoping that putting her to bed an hour later last night would help. Nope. I was wrong.
I went out to dinner last night with my sister. DH was in charge of putting the girls in bed, he let them stay up super late, didn’t consider the time change at all and was SHOCKED when our 2 year old woke up screaming bloody murder at 5AM. 🤦♀️
I actually loved dailylight savings this year! The dark evenings are nice for fires in the hearth and knitting. I kept the toddler up until about 10pm (2 hours past bedtime) and then had him skip nap time completely on Sunday. He was exhausted and crazy this weekend, but he's slept great and I've had to wake him up each morning around 7 to get ready. 10/10 recommend sleep torture to get toddlers on board with time change.
I feel like such a bad dog mom because I can barely walk the dog. We used to hike for miles and now I have to walk suuuuper slowly around the neighborhood. I think I’ll have hubs take him for some more real walks this week but ugh, I feel guilty
I'm feeling super irritable this week...not sure if it's because I'm feeling bigger and it's getting harder to move around and do the things I'm used to doing. Or maybe everyone around me is just being extra annoying?
@Swiftlet don't feel guilty! you're making people inside you!
@rikiteacup wow I have so many issues w/ your H's coworker. For those of us who KNOW we've had MC's, it feels offensive.
Sorry to all the moms of toddlers dealing with daylight savings time! I'm having enough trouble adjusting as a full grown adult.
Anybody else a fan of Shane Dawson or Jeffree Star? I bought their collab eyeshadow palette over the weekend (probably silly since I hardly ever wear makeup! But I figured I'd treat myself for all the hard work I've been doing!) I just got it today!
@babyroma I had never heard of Jeffree Star until a couple days ago. I still don't really know who he is just that he is super rich and likes when his fans see him in the streets.
I watched a documentary about Diana on Netflix (Diana, in her own words) and I can't believe what a big ass Charles was to Diana and also the British Royal family. They picked her for Charles because she was an aristocrat and a virgin. She was too naive to realize that. I also had no idea she tried to commit suicide while pregnant with Will. Made me hate Charles and Camilla even more. Will and Harry seem to be better men than their father at least. And then you think about Andrew and his family trying to cover up his friendship with Epstein. I hope Charles kicks him out once he is King.

@babyroma I'm a big fan of Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star but only because I love trashy Youtube videos and loved Jeffree Star when we were all emo and into Myspace. My sister swears by his makeup though- let us know what you think!
@craftywitch trashy youtube drama gets me by at work most days! I didnt follow jeffree much at the beginning of his makeup career but definitely knew of his music days! I listened to him a fair bit back in 08 when I went to the warped tour for the first time!
@rikiteacup thank you! I now have a new doc to watch!
My random this week... the other night I was up (again) at 3am and unable to get comfortable or feel respite from the constant heartburn... so I ordered a giant wedge pillow so I sleep at an angle, as well as a maternity pillow, and my sleep since they arrived has been SO much better!! Highly recommend the wedge for anyone else suffering from heartburn.
I'm excited to see baby again today but I told her she needs to cooperate this time around so they can get the pictures they need! I'm also going to ask if they can finally confirm that she's indeed a girl!
@mandk1233 I tried to be nice but damn it's hard haha
In other news our US report came back and our doctor told us yesterday that she is right on track and everything looks good. Then we went to get the heartbeat and she kicked the wand. This still just feels like the best dream ever and starting to hit us that it's actually happening!
@brookert615 You are much nicer than I am feeling this morning. I am so excited for you and your husband. It is hilarious when the baby fights back against the wands. Ours did that too at our first anatomy scan and again at my last checkup when the OB went to check the heartbeat.
I had not one but two nurses offer to find me larger work scrubs for my next shift. It’s only really been over the last week that you can tell in work uniform. Now I feel like an elephant.
Just a possible suggestion for updating the duplicate c-section thread? Maybe something of hopeful vaginal births, methods of medication that can be used or not used, etc? I personally am hoping of going med-free if at all possible for my own personal reasons and just getting some experiences, tips, tricks, etc would be super helpful!
@brookert615 I think that's a great idea! I had no idea what to expect in terms of recovery from vaginal births. I figured you just go home and you're fine.
@brookert615 you were SO nice to the rando that I didn’t want her to think that her question was actually a good one. Lol your GIF was awesome and I have nothing but positive feelings toward you, just in case the air needed to be cleared there.
SO MUCH NOPE. I'm going to have to risk it because I HATE the expectation that we owe people our time and attention. I don't owe nice or polite to anyone, least of all strangers who are being rude themselves.
Anyone else just over it today? I’m tired, I’m nauseous, I’m large and uncomfortable, I’m stuck with a useless coworker and I have a bunch of needy appointments today. I just want to go home.
I feel ya @Swiftlet my kids fell asleep in the car while running errands and they have had such trouble with the time change that I didn’t wake them. I’ve been trapped in the car with them for an hour and a half. I’m so glad they’re getting good naps in, but my back has about had it and I was hungry for second lunch about 30 minutes ago.
@Swiftlet YEP. I am stressed over a lot of things and going out of town this weekend isn’t helping. Can someone just let me go home and take a long nap now?

I got one of those "your period is expected in 7 days" alerts on my phone and it made me smile. I keep the app going just to remind myself how amazing it is to not have to deal with that for the time being. Apparently I'm 161 days late!
@Swiftlet I'm at home and I feel the same way. All I wanted to was a quick nap and in less than 30 minutes I got 4 telemarketer calls. It doesn't matter what blocker I use they still find a way to get through!

I had my 3rd AS today lol. They went ahead and did the full level 2 us. I expected to be there for like 30 minutes....I got back to work 3 hours later! I'm beginning to wonder how thorough (or patient!) the in office tech was because the one at the hospital was able to get a lot and made sure she got the shots doctor needed. plus, she confirmed we are having a girl!!! I saw a fairly 3D glimpse of her little face at one point and actually shed a couple tears. I didn't get a snap of that, but she's gonna be beautiful.
