Good morning, everyone!

Month/Cycle: 9/8

CD/DPO: 27/12

Timing: As good as we could, but not good enough.

Typical LP length: 14

Testing: Temp went down this morning so I didn’t bother.

R/R: I don’t have work tomorrow so I get to sleep in and make blueberry pancakes!

CS/Q: MH and I started talking very hypothetically about IF testing. If you’ve been down this road, or know someone who has, and are willing to share, how did you decide it was time to make that appointment? (I know it’s recommended to try for a year first if you’re under 35, and I think we probably will, but we’re 34. And a half.)

Testing: 5 more days on lucky 11/11 with betas - but who's counting?!

R/R: I don't think I slept soundly last night, which means I'll be fighting not to fall asleep throughout the day. I also had a weird/cool dream that the dance studio I teach at was hosting a big anniversary recital and my whole college dance company (whom most I haven't seen in like 13 years.... gosh I'm old) were invited to perform and they showed it. It was weird seeing all of their faces in my dream when I haven't talked to or really thought about many of them in I don't even know how long. But I gotta say... we still had the moooves!

CS/Q: nope

@ssbl I'm sorry your temp is dropping but I'm super excited for you being able to sleep in and then make blueberry pankcakes! I love blueberries, but I don't like them cooked/warm... is that weird? To answer your question, I spoke to my OB at my annual check-up back in May, that was around the 6 month mark (I'm 35 btw) and she instantly gave me the names to 2 RE's. I had thought, quietly to myself, about getting testing done, but it was just so real in that moment and I didn't know how DH felt about (since we knew we weren't going to do IVF no matter what). So I talked to him when he got home from work and he was fully on board with getting the testing done. I had so many feelings going into that first appointment, but I left it feeling so refreshed that we could finally be getting help and/or answers and it felt like a weight had been lifted off of me. For us, it was the sheer fact that we weren't getting younger and that... TW for LO mentioned**

...My DS is 7 so the age gap is really growing there and he is dying to be a big brother, so we didn't want to keep putting it off.

@ssbl we did it really early on because I just felt like Something was wrong and I was right so we now have a full work up end of the month if we don’t get pregnant before then. For me I figure most insurance cover infertility testing so why wait? If there’s not a problem great you keep trying the old fashioned way. If there is you didn’t waste 6 more months trying for something that was never gonna happen.

@kpearse99 to add to your ss aren’t vivid dreams a pregnancy symptom?

@beckylookatherbump haha yes, they are, but I'm not sure I would call this one a vivid dream. But who knows! I also had a bit of insomnia from 2-3am and insomnia could be a pregnancy symptom too

Literally ANYTHING could be! haha

@ssbl I’m sorry about the temp drop. Enjoy your day off tomorrow! RE: your IF question: *TW Loss* My very first loss was late in pregnancy so my OB immediately referred me to an RE, as she might be more experienced with the hormonal issues that could’ve caused such a thing. Turns out, she wasn’t the right fit for me. My IF issue is immune-related; it took several losses to realize I truly belonged in the IF category.*End TW*. Because I am AMA I pushed hard to find the right RE who believed she could help me. If your instinct says it’s time for that, go for it! Sorry I can’t help more. Also, have you read “It Starts With The Egg” or “Taking Charge of Your Fertility”? Two bibles of TTGP around these parts.

@beckylookatherbump Yay for the encouraging temp rise! Hope you can find things to occupy you to make this TWW go by faster😊

Month/Cycle: 18/Cycle #?/1 (AL#6)

CD/DPO: 21/7 DPIUI

Timing: -3, -1 (IUI) + Evening HIO sesh, O according to FF. According to my O cramps it was -2, O (IUI) + evening HIO, +1

Typical LP length: 10-13 days

Testing: Won’t know anything definitive until several betas all 3 days apart, & the final one around 11.19 😩 So far away... Debating not testing at home this time, but I’m probably kidding myself...

R/R: So many rants regarding my too-frequent & very long-distance work travel, but trying to follow kpearse’s lead & focus on the POSITIVE! Rave is that there’s a new free Deepak Chopra 21-day meditation program that just started. I will cross-post this for others who are interested. @keikilove so happy you're jumping back into the dailies! I find it to be a nice distraction from the TWW crazies so it keeps me occupied and focused! How far do you travel for work and how often? Also, when is the first beta draw? I love that you are only 2 days behind me.... so close!!

@ssbl I also had talked with my OB during my yearly exam as that was right around month 10. I mentioned it to him just as a concern wondering if we would need to go the route of an RE and so we started off with checking my progesterone to confirm I'm ovulating, then did and HSG and DH an SA. From there we got referred to a urologist to check DH as my OB thought his count was off like he didn't get the full sample in the cup (it was in the range of normal but towards the low end). From there we got referred to the RE and when I called to make an appointment we couldn't get in until a month later.

I definitely think it's worth starting to think about it because it could be a while before you can get an appointment with an RE but it depends on the practice if they are busy or not.

Testing: I want to try my best to wait until the 15th because I’ll be 12DPO not 10 and I don’t want to disappoint myself getting at 10 and it being negative but possibly positive and then drive myself nuts lol

R/R: My PREmom app inserted in my cover line for me from my BBT data and it’s looking like I deff ovulated which makes me very happy! However I am at work today so I’m going to ghost after posting this for a bit but hoping to respond to yall later today!

R/R: who else loves a good cathartic clean out? We cleaned our shared space outside our classrooms today and it felt so freeing now I want to clean out my home, my car, everything!

CS/Q: this morning, I felt this really bizarre sensation right below my belly button. I thought it was my shirt pushing against my skin. I adjusted my shirt but I kept getting this feeling almost like something was pulling down on my belly button. I've felt it several times throughout the day so I couldn't help but go to Dr. Google. Which got my hopes up. Tested this evening and got a BFN. Sooooo, I think I'm probably out, but I hate all this stuff that gives me false hope. Ugh.

@ssbl After I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility I made an appointment with my OB (who also sees infertility patients as there is no RE in my area) to do initial testing. I think the recommendation in the book is 6 months if you are tracking to confirm ovulation and have good timing. We had been trying about 9 months when we started testing. Our recent results came back mostly within normal ranges (low end of normal on SA) so we are waiting a couple months to pursue any treatment.

@ssbl if you are already talking about it just get the testing done! It will ease your mind. It is a stress in itself but hey atleast you may have some answers!

@kpearse99 I couldnt get back on TB today after all until late. But basically, my rants are because my work travel was advertised as 25% of the job before I accepted it, and now that I’m in it it’s actually more like 50% travel. Each trip is anywhere between 4,000-5,000 miles each way. Brutal on the body. Miraculously, it’s only interfered w fertile week one time,bwhen I got home on O day. And that was a cycle where was doubting all my meds anyway and took a breather. Hopefully I won’t have to worry about timing soon enough! Also, my first beta is the day after yours. We are both soooooo close! Wishing everything good for you too!
