I **think** it has something to do with decreasing the time it takes to load the page. If there’s a long string of pictures or gifs it makes the thread super long and that can make it glitchy.
@kmalls I put pictures and stuff in spoilers 1 because they're probably large on the screen (I'm on mobile the majority of the time so I have no idea if the pic I'm posting will be huge on a computer screen) and 2 it helps keep the page shorter.
Except for Pegs. Pegs get gifs if their full glory as I doubt they would ever even know to open a spoiler.
---- Would anybody be interested in a Friday Funnies thread where we can post funny pictures, memes, and videos for lots of good laughs? Doesn't have to be TTC related, just whatever has you in stitches lately.
I've just really fallen in love with the woman yelling at a cat meme lately 😂

@kmalls I also put them in spoilers to avoid increasing load/scroll times on the pages. The dailies can get long enough. No need to add in a gif of Jim Carrey talking out his butt.
@inthewoods23 I would love that!! I find gifs really brighten my day.
@ziggymama06 omg yessss!! I can't stand it when it's not hanging over. It's annoying to reach my hand around the entire roll just to grab it at the back at the wall.

It puzzles me when peggies show up out of nowhere and their first post is a comment on a thread from 4.5 years ago. Did they start at the beginning and are working their way forwards chronologically in the threads?

I also love other threads that get resurrected with someone asking "so what were the results? How did it go?". Like one thread in the 2nd Tri board from earlier this year was one of those "what's the sex of my baby" questions and someone resurrected it and my thought was just, lady, at this point she's given birth already, I think she knows lol.

I think the second pee stick wins for the most obvious positive I’ve ever seen from a drive by. I thought for sure that was a troll but since she didn’t attack our uteruses (uteri?) maybe not
@bows22 maybe she thinks they're supposed to be like OPKs and the line should get as dark as the control??

update on my DH and his broken back: he went in for a follow up today, and it’s not healing well. He’s on continued lifting restrictions/ no twisting/ out of work until dec 5. They are running labs to see why he isn’t healing, why it happened in the first place.
The things they are testing for are pretty terrifying- cancer that has metastasized is a worst case scenario. Early onset Osteoporosis, or a nutrition deficiency are also on the short list. If it’s a nutrition issue, then it goes back to ... why, so then they would need to track down the underlying issue there. The doctor plans to inject something called “bone cement” early next month, but wants it a little further fused naturally first, and apparently it’s an image guided surgery.
My mother in law is coming out next week to “help.” She has some mental health issues (like to the point she barely functions.) so I don’t know how much help she’ll be. But I figure that she can lift a gallon of milk, which my husband can’t, and he knows how to use a cell phone, which she doesn’t, so between the two of them, they’ll be okay so I can get my business to a point I can take some Fmla after his surgery next month.
Also eating up my fmla protection, so I won’t have it for a year. Luckily my company has a great maternity leave policy, but I would absolutely feel better with federal protection too.. Is what it is. 🙄🤷♀️
@the_road_to_oz so incredibly sorry for the uncertainty of the healing process for YH! Praying they are able to figure out what it is quickly & deal with it to get YH back to 100%! Sending all the positive thoughts & hugs your way!! 💜
Oh geez @the_road_to_oz I am so sorry for that he’s not healing right. I am praying it’s not any of those things the doctor mention!! Love you, friend!
