I am being beastly. I am so glad my husband had a blow up on his dad and now has cut ties(not sure for how long). I am elated because he blamed me for every little thing wrong for the past 4 years and I recently found out he tried to tell my husband to leave me for a pretty skinny mormon girl(slight back story: my husband was raised lds but has since converted to the catholic church). So having the fil out of my life for at least a couple weeks is heaven to me.
@sassypants2010 Religion can make bad in-laws so much worse. My mom is Catholic and when I brought hubby home to meet my parents, she accused him of being a Southern Baptist out to corrupt her first-born child. Hubby is agnostic; he just happens to be from Virginia. Needless to say, hubby and my mom will politely tolerate each other, but they'll never be friends.
@noxacanthus yeah religion has never been a problem for us, but apparently his dad cares even though he got himself excommunicated from the lds church. I have just reached the point where his opinion means little to me. @daffodil_shoe yeah it is complicated and messed up.
