I had to stop lurking the BMBs too for pretty much every reason described.

I’ve only been around for a few weeks, and I totally understand the 3-month rule, but it also reminds me how bummed I am I didn’t “meet” you all sooner. I’m kind of mad at myself for trying to go it alone for months before realizing I needed this group of supportive, strong, inspiring, kick-ass ladies who keep me sane. Past self, you messed up—you should’ve been here in March when you got on this TTC crazy train 🙃

@ttcbabyodo oh DH, so clueless. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all of that right now. I'm sure DH means well but sometimes they can be really dense, can't they?
@inthewoods23 I was totally cheering for you when you went off on that peg in the grad check-in. If you didn't say something I would've gotten myself banned over it.
@ssbl aww you really did come to the right place. It's one of those things where you don't want to stick around long, but if you do you'll meet some of the most amazing, strong, supportive women. And we all need those kinds of people in our lives.

New FFFC then: I majorly judge new parents who take infants or toddlers Trick-or-Treating. Dress them up, take all the cutesy pics you want, but if you're going house to house collecting candy, shame on you. We all know that baby isn't getting any candy so if people show up at my house with a kid that can't even walk, you better believe I'm silently judging them as I hand over the candy that they're shamelessly exploiting their child for. It's one thing if you're taking them alongside an older child, but even then, I still side eye them a little.

My new FFFC is that there is no worse feeling than being stuck on a webex on CD2 when you realize a tampon is filling up but you have 30 minutes left in the call.

@mvt2003 that's why I wear a pantiliner in addition to my tampons. Also because I have no flipping clue how long I can wear a tampon without it leaking. I blame it on my irrational fear of TSS for wearing lighter tampons than I really should most days.

Lol July has asked FOUR times now since the 30th for the BMB to open. Calm your tits people.

I kinda hope my due date isn't early in the month so I dont have to sit in the waiting room and deal with that kind of nonsense.

FFFC - I ate waaaaay too much halloween candy today. I also called in sick again. I worked from home, so it wasn't a total loss, but I should have gone in.

@mvt2003 I switched to a cup. Honestly - so much better, and the risk of TSS is much lower.
@inthewoods23 Yup, I've been here since Jan 2018. So, there have been a few who are out the other side.

@whatsbumpinpumpkin I have a cup but it’s so messy to change, I’ve had to clean up every time I change it! (Am I doing it wrong?) I use organic 100% cotton tampons, apparently those have an almost nonexistent level of TSS.

Can I just say how much I love this thread today. I have felt like such a crazy person for having these thoughts about the BMBs.

Also, this might fall under UO, but I think it's a little weird for people who have like 5 other kids to join a BMB. Maybe it's because I will be a FTM, but I just assume it would all be old hat by then. Like, what would you learn or gain from participating? Maybe you'd make friends, but it just seems like a lot of work when I would assume they already have plenty of mommy friends, right? Idk. I feel like a B now!

). I’ll very briefly give my background first, but TW: living children mentioned.

I’m a SAHM with three young kids. I joined a BMB for my first and third child.

Ok, I’ll just put this entire thing under a general TW: talk of pregnancy.

For me, a BMB is so much more than just a place to find answers about pregnancy or where you can crowd-source information about baby products. No matter if you’re a FTM or a fourth time mom, pregnancy can be a very isolating experience — and a BMB provides an instant community of women going through the exact experience you are, at the same moment you are. It’s not really about being an old hand at something, it’s more about connecting with people through a shared milestone in your lives. What many gain from participating are friendships that span years. While some may not have time to participate as much as FTMs, it can still be a valuable and cherished community of support.

@mvt2003 I can almost always get away with just emptying it every 12 hours. So I just do it in the shower. I like to shower twice a day on af anyway, I always feel gross. So I find it cleaner, since I’m not then dealing with things I have to throw away.

I’m so glad that this whole thread happened today! Apparently many of us share very similar feelings. Personally, I like a BMB for the camaraderie that @kmalls just mentioned. (Now that I’ve been here in TTGP for a year I think there will be a huge void left if I don’t join my BMB when the time comes.) But for sure I don’t know how the moms with 4+ kids are able to join their BMBs. I don’t know where they find the time to participate, that’s all.

Also wanted to add that I feel so similar to those of you who have watched large groups of amazing women come and go. I was part of March 2019, then some other ones that also didn’t work out, and now just hoping for a BMB in 2020! It is very surreal to watch women start to work on TTC their second when I’m still trying to get our first THB since we started this adventure. I just always remind myself there has to be some reason I’m going through this. I don’t know what it is but there’s got to be a reason to all this, Maybe even just to be a resource to others going through their own challenges in the future…

Last cycle I didn’t realize just how messy things got and MH called me into the bathroom to ask if I was ok because that was a lot of blood he just found 😂😂😂
