MIL obese - how do you deal with

My mil is 300lbs, has no control on eating, and we’re worried about her taking care of our 11 month old. She wants to baby sit her but she doesn’t go down to baby’s level and play with the baby. I have a strong willed little baby and she is starting to walk around. I guess what I’m asking is how would you talk to her about losing weight to play with baby and how would you deal with her trying to sit with the baby.

    If you’re worried about her not being able to take care of your baby then she doesn’t get to baby sit. There’s not going to be an easy way to tell her the reason is her weight. She knows she’s overweight and should have an idea on how it affects her mobility. Maybe just say something like your baby is extremely busy and getting into a lot of things but still needs a lot of help so you aren’t comfortable having her babysit until the baby is more self sufficient.
