MEMBRANE SWEEP!

I have an appointment today....and I will be 38 weeks tomorrow! Do you think if I asked my midwife to strip my membranes she would? I didnt even know it was a thing with my first until my OB just did it without asking me.

I am just so uncomfortable and in so much pain that I have to use a cane to walk 🙄 (I promise I’m not being dramatic) 😂

I’ve just mentally reached my breaking point.

So what do you guys think?

    I had it done with a previous pregnancy and it didn't really do anything for me. It was still quite a while before I went into labor. On the other hand, I don't think it would hurt anything either (aside from, y'know, hurting).

    I definitely understand being at that mental breaking point. I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow and I am desperate to be the only person using my body.

    She did but it didn’t do anything. I have another appointment in a few days where she will probably do it again

    Membrane sweeps don't do anything unless your body is literally about to go into labor anyways. I have had them and nothing happened for 2 more weeks. I have also had one that started contractions immediately and my baby was born 3 hours later.
