    Weeks/ EDD: 21+2, March 3

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: pink!

Baby is the size of a(n): Endive

Upcoming appointments: normal checkup next Friday, second round AS on 11/6... they need better pictures but I’m excited to see her again!

How are you feeling? Good! I’ve been sleeping better which is great. However, my seasonal allergies are definitely worse with pregnancy. I feel bad for my office mate who has to hear me sniffle all day 🤧

Rants/Raves: Rant... my allergies are terrible, I wonder what it’s like to be able to breathe through a clear nose! Rave... still is that my baby girl is a mover. I love watching and feeling her move at night. She gave a huge kick the other day and my husband saw it... it scared him and he screamed lol.

GTKY: What is your nursery theme/colors (taken from February group):  We don’t have a “theme” but we are going for very light/neutral colors (off-white, beiges) with a hint of pale pinks, mid century modern furniture. We are going to be moving a few months after birth so I don’t want it to scream “girls room”.

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Team Pink!

Baby is the size of a(n): Beanie Baby

Upcoming appointments: Checkup tomorrow and to review my anatomy scan results, which I'm hopeful are normal since the tech didn't have any concerns

How are you feeling?: Good! I'm with you @slimjoco, allergies are in full force. Also, way more tired at night but not sure if that's allergies or pregnancy related. Probably both!

Rants/Raves: Rave- I'm done with putting all the "big" stuff on my registry, now DH and I will need to take a trip to BBB to check out little things.

Questions: None at the moment- very happy riding this "normal" 2nd trimester feeling while it lasts!

GTKY: What is your nursery theme/colors (taken from February group): YAY great question! I feel like all I do is plan nursery stuff so I'm excited to talk about this and see everyone's ideas. I'm also into the mid century feel and plan to do a mix of two-toned whites/neutral furniture and neutral furniture with bright color accents. I'm obsessed with this Bumbo changing pad. I'm thinking a bright rug (love everything rainbow) but not in primary colors, if that makes sense. I'm not sure what color to do the walls though! I feel like a beige would be good but our whole house is more very light grey with blue undertones so I'm struggling with that. Suggestions welcome! We'll probably paint the nursery over Thanksgiving. Thank you for reading my novel.
  • @slimjoco, thanks for kicking us off! I'm also getting sent back for better A/S pictures -- sounds like it's pretty common! And I love the idea of mid-century modern furniture in the baby's room.

@lemonlove86, FX on the A/S results! And I have the same feelings toward the Keekaroo changing pad! What color is the floor in the nursery? I saw this beautiful island-themed nursery on Pinterest (rainbow pillows, fun art, tropical-evoking plants, lots of blue-tones) that had white walls with the barest blue tinge and hardwoods that might hit your mid-century, neutral, bright color pop theme. But the hardwoods really made a difference -- not sure it would have been as cute with carpet.

    Weeks/ EDD: 20+4, March 8

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green:Still green! Although the U/S tech giggled and said she saw everything she needed to see.

Baby is the size of a(n):Troll doll, lol.

Upcoming appointments: Nov 23 - had A/S yesterday and it went well, but baby refused to flip over and show a good profile or heart view.

How are you feeling? Pretty great. Definitely winded pedaling uphill or taking stairs too fast (...at all), but I've been relatively symptom-free recently. Happy the scan went well.

Rants/Raves: Sliced my finger open on a grocery basket yesterday and it hurts like a MF'er still. Such a stupid way to get injured, and so messy. Otherwise, rave for freshly roasted pumpkin seeds, puppy cuddles this morning, and sunshine in the forecast for the foreseeable future!

    Questions: Not today!

GTKY: What is your nursery theme/colors (taken from February group): Great question! Since we're not finding out, it'll probably be pretty neutral and have to match the rest of the house (mix of mid-century, thrift, and textures). My husband wants to do a broad interpretation of PACNW outdoors, which I'm taking to mean dark green, tans/brown leather, white, and bronze pops (pillows and lamp), a biiiig piece of art with some kind of nature scene, and black & white geometric carpet (we have beautiful hardwoods). We're going to thrift a low dresser that can grow with LO and found a couple great bookshelves. Have a family rocker, but might invest in a glider and allllll the plants.
  • Weeks/ EDD: 3/7

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: BLUE. my dr tried to do a sneak peek on 10/11 and said it was a girl, and when I went for the A/S he said it's a boy!

Baby is the size of a(n): banana?

Upcoming appointments: tomorrow for another A/S scan. They need better pictures of his heart. I was worried at first but it sounds like this is very common! The doctor said nothing is wrong. Then I have a regular appointment on 11/8

How are you feeling? finally feeling better!! I stopped taking unisom last week and went through withdrawal symptoms... I threw up multiple times a day.

Rants/Raves: I got an "extended" bikini wax yesterday and it hurt SO MUCH WORSE than usual!!

    Questions: Nope!

GTKY: What is your nursery theme/colors (taken from February group):  Not sure yet; we're thinking either a whale or bear theme!
  • Weeks/ EDD: 21+4.  March 5

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: blue

Baby is the size of a(n): large banana

Upcoming appointments: glucose test 11/14. Have the drink in the fridge- heard it's better cold?

How are you feeling? Okay today.  Body issue struggles and trouble sleeping are persistent problems

Rants/Raves: work is 100% too busy that by the time I get home I have no energy to tackle baby prep.  Still dont have a registry done and the (soon to be) nursery is still 80% my office... lots to do and get rid of. Rave- saw my sister this weekend- she came to visit-and had a great time... felt relaxed and we enjoyed 2 days outside near the beach

Questions: anyone have low placenta? (Not covering cervix)

GTKY: What is your nursery theme/colors (taken from February group):
Safari themed with tigers and monkeys.  Dark grey furniture.  Using decals on the walls (were renters)
  • @ubergoober86 my ultrasound tech said I might have a low placenta (not touching or covering the cervix). She didn’t seem concerned, she said it can only move farther away from the cervix since the uterus grows upwards.
  • @ubergoober86 @slimjoco, me too! She said as long as it was 2 cm away (mine was 2.1...) that it should stretch away as you get bigger.
  • Weeks/ EDD: 22w 3d March 1

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Team Girl

Baby is the size of a(n): Coconut, seems so big suddenly

Upcoming appointments: 11/11 regular OB check up

How are you feeling? Feeling way more energetic on most days which is nice, nesting kicking in. Still have some beyond tired days though.

Rants/Raves: Love feeling her move more and more, but her movements seem located differently from my first two, so low, so also kind of a rant, it feels strange and inevitably worrisome. I worried about the first not moving enough, the second moving too much and now this girl moving 'strangely'. Irrational thoughts of a pregnant woman Chapter 23.

Questions: Not that I can think of

GTKY: What is your nursery theme/colors (taken from February group): We have a two bedroom, so the new baby will not be getting her own room right away. Our second room is primarily staged for my DD from 2015, but pretty subtle on some pink/mint/gold touches and then reduced them for DS. A darker hard wood floor, with gray walls and white trim. We had a teal rug in there for DD which I took out for when DS joined in but recently moved back in there because he doesn't care and it's a great color in there!! We had purchased the Hemnes dresser from Ikea in white which is our changing table, a white crib from Ikea which is still in there for DS and then a white toddler bed from Walmart for DD. Neither bed or crib are currently being used or the room really, as both kids are still in our room :# . This is something we need to address before arrival of #3 obviously so I am thinking about a full bed for DD in navy upholstered with Frozen bedding per her request and move DS to the toddler bed and hopefully move houses before new baby moves out of our room!!

@slimjoco Yay for better sleep, I *think* I'm also rounding that corner but not wanting to get my hopes up.

@lemonlove86 I love that changing pad and the rainbow idea, sounds beautiful. I am no help on paint undertones, I only see gray or beige!! Good for you getting the big stuff knocked out, I felt the most stress about those items and find the smaller stuff to be more fun.

@pdx2020 Ouch to your finger!!!! Your nursery ideas sound amazing!! I can't believe your tech gave a giggle knowing you don't want to know, I would have to know after that!!

@vrstrawn How did follow up A/S go?
  • @stac4056 it went well!! He still didn't cooperate at first- he was super curled up. The radiologist had to push on my stomach and I had to walk around a bunch for him to move but we finally got him stretched out enough to see the outflow tract of his heart and everything is great. Thank you for asking <3
