Child Care in DC - Petworth

Hey Bumpies! I'm nearly at the end of my first trimester with my first and, knowing how crazy it is to get infants into childcare in DC, am researching child care centers in the Petworth neighborhood. I'm located in SW Petworth close to the Metro. Any local, first-hand experiences are welcome. Thank you!

    This board doesn't look overly active, but figured I'd give it a shot. I'm not in Petworth, but my friends sent their kids to the CDC at the First Baptist Church on 16th Street (I think) and loved it. None of them are particularly religious. Another friend is currently sending her second to one in DC USA in Columbia Heights.

    That said...how many daycare waiting lists should I get on? Is 5 enough? I have 2nd priority for one (1st priority goes to siblings) and 3rd priority for the rest (fed employee, but not at preferred agency). Still blowing my mind that I have to apply for daycare before we've even told our families yet.
