PG&E because I'm really tired of losing power because they can't maintain their lines. Next PSPS event starts tomorrow. DD's day care will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, and I'm trying to save my PTO for leave. So annoyed.
My 20 month old. Every time I turn around for two seconds he is into something else and today I have no patience and feel exhausted. He needs a chill button.
The office staff at my OB's office. They were completing my paperwork to take to the lab for the blood draw and the OB said something to one about how I was anxious to do my NIPT (which she suggested waiting until 12-13 weeks for so not just yet) and the one lady gave me a dirty look and goes "that's no fun, you should wait and be surprised. you're not any fun" Like I'm sorry, who are you to decide what is or isn't fun for me? How does it affect you? And I want the NIPT for all of the reasons not just for the sex because I can find that out an elective ultrasound at 14 weeks anyway. It felt like they were all laughing at me thinking all I wanted to know was the sex and that nobody there ever does NIPT I guess?
@bananapanda Massive eyeroll to that staff. You'd think that OB and RE office staff/nurses would be better about watching what comes out of their mouths. It constantly surprises me how tactless people are. There are tons of reasons to do a NIPT that have nothing to do with the sex.
@ruby696 Will your work offices be without power also? Wouldn't they consider that unavoidable time off, like jury duty or an act of god weather thing?
Today I am the twat waffle. I called in to work today simply because I was too tired to get out of bed. I have all my PTO accounted for for the rest of the year, and now I’m going to have to give up one of those days or take one unpaid.
Although, I literally slept all day. Something is telling my I needed it.
@ruby696 I vote that you have two twatwaffles. Pg&e and your blasted work for somehow being immune to the outage!
@bender29 I’m in the saving all my time mode since my employer doesn’t give paid maternity leave. Still sometimes taking that day is just flat out necessary right now.

@bender29 sometimes you just really need the sleep. Especially with two littles in there.
