Preschool posted on the parents page that there’s a nasty stomach bug going around. Praying it doesn’t come to our house. Thats the last thing I need being pregnant and with DS birthday this weekend!!

I’m so tired! I have a lot less pain this pregnancy than last, so I’m sleeping better, but I still wake up tired everyday. I think it’s the fact that it’s still dark out when I wake up. Stupid winter
@kiwi2628 - I think the real problem is that we can't nap when we get home like we maybe could have with our firsts. I am seriously considering going home to nap for thirty minutes before I get DD1 from daycare but then I feel like a bad mom.

@leksiL dinosaur theme here. Also original haha he’s excited for his birthday! It’s fun because I think he really gets a birthday now since we’ve been to 82837372828 parties at this point. I need to go order his cupcakes at lunch...

I actually slept through the night without having to pee! But then because my bladder was so full in my half-asleep mind I started to convince myself I wasn't actually peeing but I had a premature amniotic rupture. Luckily I laid back down and started thinking rationally that it wasn't amniotic fluid just the result of sleeping almost 7 hours without getting up and going to the bathroom. Pregnancy does weird things to your brain!

Wanted to make cake pop reveal treats for my coworkers....failed epically at them. The coating chocolate just was not melting right. Hubs even tried. Wrote it off as a bad job and headed to the bakery for a last minute cake. Nobody was around to write on it so I did it myself...didn't look too bad. The icing started spreading pretty bad...it was almost barely legible by the time I shared it with the team! the bottom pic was what I left home with...it got worse! Haha
@babyroma it was super nice of you to treat your coworkers with a cake! You've got to train them to start feeding YOU lol. I have announced that people should be bringing me in cookies and chocolates and it does help my mood

For those who followed in the Group 1 thread, my son finally passed the magnet he swallowed on Friday night. I am so freakin relieved! Never thought one of my kids would swallow a foreign object at four years old, but never say never.
Oy....I have to go back for another ultrasound next week since baby girl didn't want to cooperate. They weren't able to get all the images they needed, but the ones they got seem to be okay, but they can't confirm everything is okay without the additional imagery. Sigh...I'm really really hoping we didnt announce the sex too soon now! Lol
Sorry for a second post in a row! I forgot to thank you all for your help picking a baby shower dress. It came today and oh boy is it unflattering! It's shorter than I expected so as a maxi dress...its above my ankles (tall people problems!) It makes me look wider than i feel like i am because the top hit in a funny place, the dresses pockets were like right next to my boobs. Even H said it was unflattering. Maybe I'll just stick to the maternity leggings and order a cute shirt like one I already have.
Maybe go get a Starbucks one day next week and muster up the courage to try something on. I hate having an event and having the anxiety of finding something to wear. Good luck! @babyroma
I had a bit of unsettling drama today during my sono to check my cervix. My cervix is doing well, but the sonographer found an anomaly with my placenta at the cord insertion. I don’t think she was going to tell me, but I have had so many sonograms over this lifetime that I know when they are measuring something that isn’t normal. Anyways, I asked her and she said it could be a placental lake, but when my OB talked to me he said she thought it was actually a placental cyst due to the shape. There are very big differences between the two and have very different implications. Placental lake doesn’t usually cause poor outcomes, but a cyst can compress the cord and cause IUGR or anoxic injury. Due to the location of the lake or cyst my OB wanted me to go back to my MFM doctor. I started to freak out. Google did nothing but make me worry. Fortunately, my MFM squeezed me in. When he scanned me he immediately noticed blood flow through the spot in question, meaning it was a placental lake and not a cyst. He said it’s pretty normal and he hasn’t had any cause issues. He’s had one clot before, but even that was ok. He measured the baby and he is in the 75th percentile and growing well. He was not concerned and said I should just have my normal monitoring with my cervical check sonos. I am so relieved, but super drained from today. The fretting was real today and a million not great scenarios ran through my head. I will be so relieved when this little guy is safely in my arms at term. The good news is I am basically an amateur expert on placental cysts and lakes now, so if you guys have any questions I am your girl, lol. Sorry for the novel.
My h took our three year old to the ER at 3:30 this morning. He was starting to sound like he was getting croup yesterday and he was having big coughing fits and having trouble catching his breath through the night. He was retracting/tugging a bit when we decided he needed to go in. He needed a steroid and breathing treatment. My h took the morning off and they are both still sleeping. DS2 has a cold but so far it’s not getting any worse🤞🏼
@DDRRT1982 How scary, but I am glad you were able to get in and get some answers. @clee5711 I hope your little guys gets better asap! I hate this time of the year.
My SIL wants to do brunch Sunday. But that’s DS actual birthday and we will be doing presents and such. I just kind of envisioned a lazy morning and then taking him somewhere fun...not making him sit at a brunch table....

Just when I thought we were all healthy again, my four year old gets a fever last night. He was burning up all through the night. Logic tells me it can’t be the magnet he swallowed because that’s gone, but I am now worrying again. I hate this time of year when kids start getting sick. Ugh!
On top of that, my husband is traveling for basically the next 5-6 weeks. There are a few days here and there when he is home, but he is going to miss Halloween and won’t come home until the day before Thanksgiving. 😕
@DDRRT1982 that is so true. I am definitely feeling like that and trying to brace myself for the upcoming cold and flu season. The thought of adding a newborn to the mix gives me so much anxiety! 😬

I struggled with some serious anxiety this weekend but feel better today. This time around pregnancy just sucks. The hormones are out of control.

@clee5711 I hope your sons get well soon. I hate when my kids are sick. I’d honestly just rather it transfer to me rather than watching them suffer.
