I had dinner with some friends last night. I wasn’t really in the mood to talk about how I’m still not KU so I ordered a drink. I was the only one haha. I feel kind of bad now because one of them is pregnant so maybe it was rude to drink in front of her but I just really didn’t want the question.
Then I needed to sit and unwind for awhile when I got home and was up way too late. Now I’m exhausted so it’s going to be one of those days. The good news is that there is an end in sight to my work craziness! Should just be a couple more days until I’m caught up (for now haha)
R/R: I feel really great today for some reason. I took a break from lifting last week because I did something to my back toward the end of the prior week. So I’m excited to get back in the gym during lunch today. My husband and I have been having amazing sex recently and I’m always down for it and compared pervious months. And I’m finally fertile, according to ff! Im predicting the O will be around Friday or Saturday. When I was on bc I started to O pain a few months again. Now I feel like I’m going to symptom watch the shit out of my body to see if I can match it with when ff says that I O.
Here is hoping that my day continues to get better and work goes well!

@bows22 - I don't think you need to feel bad about drinking in front of a pregnant person whatsoever!
@blackgirlmagic - My husband did something to his back last week lifting too, and while he says its getting better slowly, he's still shuffling around slowly and struggling to get in and out of bed. This morning he said he might call out sick because his back and I told him that if it's that bad that he can't go to work then he needs to go see a doctor! He went to work...
Month/Cycle: 14
CD: doesn't matter right now
WAYDTGKU: starting IVF next week!
R/R: Got the call yesterday that my insurance approved IVF! Waiting on all the meds to be approved, and next Friday I'll have a pre-op appointment, a mock transfer, and an anesthesiology consult. So hopefully starting everything next weekend!! So excited, but also feeling apprehensive and overwhelmed. DH and I sat down last night to discuss what we would do with any leftover embryos (in the far future) and agreed that we would adopt them out if we could. I have congenital heart defects, so I'm now wondering if our embryos would even qualify for adoption?
R/R: I bungled my PCP's office hours yesterday, and didn't realize they closed at 5. They're 30 minutes away without traffic, so I'm going to try to bust my butt to get there today at lunchtime.
My huge fall work event is next week and I'm starting to stress out about it big-time. This may have been a terrible cycle to start my IF testing, but I guess there's never a "good" time, right? Hoping I get a lot done today so I don't feel guilty about having to leave for over an hour today to handle the lab order and then for 2 hours ( ) on Friday to handle my HSG.

@bows22 I agree with @feather_heather it's absolutely not rude to drink in front of them! You need it sometimes! Also, the value of not getting That Question is truly beyond words sometimes. Hoping work slows down for you soon, friend!
@feather_heather So freaking excited for you!!! I think it's very smart of you to be thinking to the future! Have you done PGS? That may impact whether or not you can donate?
@blackgirlmagic Congrats on getting back into the gym! That's the best feeling!

@mvt2003 - The plan is to do a fresh transfer, so that embryo would not receive any PGS. I am going to ask my doctor if any leftover embryos can be tested prior to being frozen. I think that would make sense, because then we would know which ones to choose for future transfers. The doctor said if we wanted to test them, then they have to be frozen, because the tests results take a few weeks. He didn't recommend taking that route because I've never actually gotten pregnant and never had a loss, so at the moment that is not a major concern.
I don't think there is ever a good time to start all the testing, or to have to go thru fertility treatments. I have a lot of night meetings at work, and I'm already panicking a bit about when we do the egg retrieval and transfer and missing meetings, but c'est la vie! I'm probably going to end up telling my boss what is going on, so that I have a legitimate excuse to miss any meetings/work days.
@mvt2003 Stop! Did you discover this before you drove out there? Ugh. I hope for no traffic and the good luck of every green light at lunch.
@bows22 I’ve started doing that to avoid any stares at my stomach or questions. Damn me and my oversharing nature of telling people we were ttc back in May 😐 and I don’t think it’s rude to drink in front of pregnant people.
@blackgirlmagic My sex drive is always out of control during my fertile window. Not sure if it’s always been like that or my ambitious nature to get my goals accomplished 😂
@feather_heather congrats on insurance approval. That’s amazing!
@bows22 nah, I don't think it's rude. I mean, a KU person can't force others to not do something just because they can't right? Happy to hear the work craziness is ending soon!
@blackgirlmagic sounds like your body is itching to get back to working out!
@feather_heather DH and I have also talked about our extra embryos (assuming we stop having failures!). He seems totally fine with the idea but for me I have this weird feeling that donating an embryo means there would be a human out there that is biologically ours but not ours. The idea just seems so weird to me! But of course we have time to figure that out. As for your heart defect, I don't know if that makes you ineligible for donating embryos. That's a really good question! I can't remember what I've read on that subject
@mvt2003 nope, never a good time 😆 but at least in the testing phase it's just simple BW or an US for the most part. Oh, and waiting of course!

R/R: it's Wednesday and I'm already looking toward the weekend. I basically won't see DH again til probably 9 tonight *sigh* I just miss him a lot when he's not home.
On the plus side, the swab they did of my cervix came back this morning. They looked for 3 different bacteria and none are present so, cool cool.
CS/Q: my OPKs are still squinters! I'm wondering when the heck O is gonna be when the 2nd line is almost not even there!

@bows22 I don’t blame you one bit for ordering a drink. I assume they know you’re trying? I thought I wouldn’t mind my closest friends knowing, but now that we are I wish that I had never told them. @blackgirlmagic yay for good sex! GL during FW!
@feather_heather so happy that you were approved for IVF! That’s very cool that you are considering adopting out your embryos. I always thought it would be good to do something like that- donate eggs or whatever, if I were able.
@mvt2003 I hope your work event isn’t too stressful! And that you are able to get answers, and help, if needed with your testing.
@inthewoods23 That's very true. The only hard part is having to disappear for 1-2 hours in the middle of the day which I usually NEVER do. Arguably though, all of the stress over work stuff is helping distract me from my personal life at the moment. Woke up at 5am thinking about this meeting next week, which was fun. @mvt2003 that stinks you weren’t able to get to your PCP yesterday, but definitely good you realized before you drove there! No, there is no good time for testing/treatment...but hopefully it doesn’t interfere too much with work!
@inthewoods23 hopefully the day goes by fast so you can see YH! Is it bad that I’ve been on vacation and I’m still looking forward to the weekend?! Yay for no bacteria!
@photographerwife sorry for CD1! Yay for pumpkin spice creamer though! Hope your cramps get better soon!
@mvt2003 can you get in early before work? My clinic has appointments as early as 7, but does make earlier appointments if necessary - I needed 6:45 appointments the week of the IVF meds monitoring because I needed to be an hour away for work training that started at 8am that entire week!
@bluetickgal no shame lol. When I did the 3 days off for the FET, I was looking forward to the weekend when I got back to work on Thursday lol

@inthewoods23 This is my PCP, they're SUPER old school, and are only 8:30-5. I work 30 minutes away with no traffic, so I'll just have to rush there and back at lunch! I specifically chose an OB-GYN practice that was close to work and home for that reason though!

Thanks everyone for the reassurance that I wasn’t rude. I’m so sorry if I took anyone off guard by not adding a TW, I’m going to edit my post.
@blackgirlmagic I’m glad your back is feeling better. I hope your day continues to be great
@feather_heather that’s amazing that you guys are going to donate your embryos if you can. I’d like to think I’d do the same but I’m sure it’s not an easy decision
@mvt2003 are you able to do work at home in the evening? It really does wonders for my guilt and stress levels when I need to take care of other things during the day
@inthewoods23 I’m glad your tests are all going well! I hope you get a darker OPK soon. Mine (wondfos) always go from very light to positive out of nowhere
@photographerwife I’m sorry to see you here ❤️they do know we are TTC. TW for PG friend
We don’t see each other in person that often so she announced to us via group text and for some reason later in the convo i decided to mention that I hoped I would be joining her soon. I’m not sure why I did that haha.
@bluetickgal I hope you are enjoying your day off! And then you’ll have a short work week this week! Nice way to ease back in from vacation.
@bows22 I can if necessary, but a lot of my stuff involves things that either need to be in the building OR during business hours, which is hard!

@bows22 for what it's worth I had a couple of years after finding out I have interstitial cystitis where I couldn't drink at all. Alcohol in any form was just a huge IC trigger for me. I never cared whether someone else drank in front of me. I totally understood that my dietary limitations shouldn't need to apply to anyone near me. I think most people understand that. Anyone who feels entitled to having no one drink around them because they can't drink has issues unless they're like a newly recovered alcoholic or something. And also I totally get the desire to order a drink when maybe you don't even want to drink you just really, really do not want to field a bunch of questions on the status of your uterus.
@feather_heather ahhh that's so soon! I know this is totally weird but I got really excited for you reading that even though I barely know you.
@photographerwife ugh sorry about CD1 and cramps. I hope you feel better soon.
Month/Cycle: 2/2
CD: 5
WAYDTGKU: PNV, CoQ10, MTHFR diet, glutathione, baby aspirin, checking CM, OPKs, whatever I'm forgetting and obviously sex.
R/R: I was looking ahead at this cycle doing some planning and I'm like "oh nice it looks like my husband will be in town if I O around CD14." And then I realized my parents are visiting that week. Should be interesting trying to convince my husband to sneak in sex while they're here. He is so weird about having sex if anyone is visiting. The master bedroom is downstairs and the guest room is upstairs so it isn't like the guests are likely to hear anything if we are romately discreet but still. But that's a solid week from now so I'm not going to worry about all that yet. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Also let me just say that avoiding folic acid in my diet kinda sucks. Its like "oh look at that delicious pumpkin bread! And its loaded with 25% of my RDA of folic acid so I can't have it." Damn you MTHFR.

@inthewoods23 - Yeah, I said that I would really want it to be an open adoption, so that we can periodically meet up and the kids could have some sort of relationship. I'm not sure how I would feel about having a kid out there that is biologically mine and not knowing how their life is! It's really not something we have to worry about for years anyways, and maybe we won't end up having any leftover and won't have to worry about it at all. It's such a complex thing to think about!
@tyrion_ haha for the longest time I would see people write it on threads and I'm like "motherf*cker? That's weird." And now I have known I have it for almost 3 years and I still hear "motherf*cker" in my head when I read it/write it. You aren't the only one!

But maybe that's due to everything else in the IF world being sounded out vs saying the individual letters.... Well excluding IVF.
FET is feht, not F.E.T. ICSI is ick-see, not I.C.S.I. ERA is ear-rah, not E.R.A
@feather_heather same, and at the same time I wonder how that conversation would go - you were adopted before you were a growing fetus. Super awkward to say to a kid that's yours but not yours.

R/R: So this afternoon I felt like I was getting pretty lubed up and actually feel like having sex so I thought ok, cool, I must be getting close to ovulating. Then I got home and... turns out it’s blood. I always have a shorter cycle but 15 days really? I did go off birth control a few days into my last cycle but I usually snap back to normal pretty fast. Hopefully it’s just a little rando spotting but I don’t think so. It’s significant like the start of a period.

Usually my LP is short, like 10 days, so a total of about 24 days. I was wondering why the heck I wasn’t feeling like I was anywhere near ovulating yet. Guess my ovaries are just like nah this month. But you would think that would make it longer, not shorter.

I had to go to my PCP yesterday for an unrelated issue, so she quickly ran blood work since the bleeding stopped, and we confirmed I am back to zero. So I know now if I get a BFP again, it's a new pregnancy. So - at least I'm not in limbo land!
Rant, TW - LC Stupid allergies.
The reason I had to go to the doctor (and take a half day from work) was because my son's ear was clogged with wax.

Other wise - bottoms up! @feather_heather My dad hurt his knee right before my mom had surgery (reconstructive from cancer, so fairly major) - She had to have it REDONE and she is back to 100% and he is still whining four months later. Men are the biggest babies hurt / sick @photographerwife I hope you feel better quickly! @blackgirlmagic Great job getting back to the gym! I have been awful about it lately. Its COLD out. @NamelessAria hopefully it won’t be too bad with your parents in town! My husband is weird about stuff like that too!
@konoha Happy anniversary! The wreath looks sooo good against the color of your door!
@HotSauceSwagBag I hope you get some clarity soon. I know it took me forever to get regular way back when I got off of Bc. It’s been several years and I was in the depo, but it seriously took like a year! I hope it evens out for you very soon.
@bluetickgal hope you were able to get lots done today, and still get some rest! @whatsbumpinpumpkin im glad everything has semi calmed down for our. Fx for you soon! 💕
Edit to fix spacing. Idk what’s up with my thebump today.
@whatsbumpinpumpkin glad you’re back to 0. It’s a weird and frustrating wait.

Im
predicting the O will be around Friday or Saturday. When I was on bc I started to O pain a few months again. Now I feel like I’m going to symptom watch the shit out of my body to see if I can match it with when ff says that I O.
CS/Q:
@blackgirlmagic - My husband did something to his back last week lifting too, and while he says its getting better slowly, he's still shuffling around slowly and struggling to get in and out of bed. This morning he said he might call out sick because his back and I told him that if it's that bad that he can't go to work then he needs to go see a doctor! He went to work...

CS/Q: none

WAYDTGKU: Everything
R/R: I bungled my PCP's office hours yesterday, and didn't realize they closed at 5. They're 30 minutes away without traffic, so I'm going to try to bust my butt to get there today at lunchtime.
My huge fall work event is next week and I'm starting to stress out about it big-time. This may have been a terrible cycle to start my IF testing, but I guess there's never a "good" time, right? Hoping I get a lot done today so I don't feel guilty about having to leave for over an hour today to handle the lab order and then for 2 hours ( ) on Friday to handle my HSG.

@bluetickgal no shame lol. When I did the 3 days off for the FET, I was looking forward to the weekend when I got back to work on Thursday lol
