Re: IF Testing & Treatment w/o 10/7
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): letrozole + trigger + IUI
How are things going?: *TW* fine until an unexpected announcement popped up yesterday. Their first kid is 10 f*cking months old. Bring on all the cute fall announcements I guess, it may be time to delete social media again *end TW*. There was blood when I checked cm yesterday, right on schedule at CD 25 so I am not feeling hopeful anymore and am just so pissed off.
Any questions?: no
GTKY: what are your SO's best/worst traits? Best- easy going, good sense of humor, and hard working. Worst- messy, workaholic, and never talks about feelings (IMO haha)
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): FET#1
How are things going?: I'm on such a roller coaster of emotions. One minute I am great, so unbelievably hopeful, then the next I am so depressed and certain it will fail.
I felt great for like a day after my FET but then the nurse called and said my progesterone on the day of the FET was low. I was doing PIO and Endometrin alternating days and they told me to stop the endometrin and just do PIO every day. But this started me just losing all hope, like if my progesterone was low then is the whole FET doomed, is there even enough time for it is rise enough, why was it low in the first place on both PIO and suppositories?! Ugh then I started down the rabbit hole of googling things, and it got bad. But idk then I think about it and hope comes back a little but idk. It's going to be a long week.
Any questions?: nope
@b_1029 I'm sorry for the unexpected trigger, those are the worst. I have such a hard time going on social media now, I just can't stand all the announcements. I'm also sorry for the spotting and loss of hopefulness, I feel you so much there friend.

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): IUI limbo, two raised temps but no US / BW to confirm
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IUI
How are things going?: eh, not sure if I ovulated yet.... very little CM thanks to Clomid and early O, plus the smaller lining has me wondering if we have a chance this cycle... but then again does CM matter much if the sperm is being put into the uterus anyway? I had some brown spotting hours after the IUI, so I’m not sure what that’s aboit either. My temp also shot up to 99 this morning and I was sweating. I had gotten up and walked downstairs to the kitchen to get ice and ibuprofen, so I would have expected a lower temp. Weird.
Any questions?: RE didn’t give an official low morph diagnosis, partially because SA directions weren’t followed. IUI sample yesterday was very good so I wonder if the low morph was just a fluke. Is the IUI sample considered a SA? We need two on file to do IVF insurance wise, so I’m curious. My RE isn’t the one doing the IUIs.
GTKY: What are your SO’s best / worst traits?
He’s hardworking and lazy. He works so much that he has no energy or desire to do anything at home. His work is way more physical than mine, but mine is emotionally exhausting and then I have the second shift when I get home. He will leave clothes next to the hamper and wear his shoes inside and then take them off. What’s the point if you already walked through the house instead of taking them off at the door?!

How are things going?: alright. A few tests from the BW have come back already and they are normal. Not diabetic, no lupus, and the other test was homocysteine total - normal.
Any questions?: I'll have a lot of questions if the ERA test comes back positive (this test comes next cycle). Whatever checks for chronic inflammation, I can't remember now. Maybe I mean the Receptiva test. Like, if inflammation is the problem, can I ever get KU naturally without needing the lupron Depot shot they would give me before the next FET? I have so many what if questions right now and I'm trying really hard not to let my mind get ahead of where we're at.
GTKY: what are your SO's best/worst traits?
Best - humor. So much humor. His best physical features include his eyes and eyelashes (very long), or really his whole face is cute to me. Also cute butt 😏
Worst - doesn't clean up anything when he cooks in the kitchen, does not express his emotions, does way too many things and never puts himself first when he needs it

@b_1029 ❤️, friend. I'm sorry you had to see an announcent yesterday. FWIW, I deleted Instagram about 6 months ago and haven't looked back. Doesn't help all that much, but at least a little. Also, I hope you've never been more mistaken about impending AF, but if she comes, I hope both our IUIs next cycle are successful!
Diagnosis: unexplained
Status: TWW
What are you doing this cycle? Well as soon as AF comes, Letrozole + trigger + IUI + Progesterone. I sincerely hope she comes today or tomorrow otherwise I'm cutting my IUI too close to a business trip!!
How are things going? I had a terribly triggering weekend. No need to re-hash it here, but it really bummed me out. I hate to go into this IUI cycle with a bad mindset, but that's what I've got.
Any questions? Nope.
GTKY: what are your SO's best/worst traits?
MH's best traits are how much he helps around the house (fixing stuff, always does laundry & grocery shopping) and he does all this without being asked. I'd say his worst trait is how much he struggles in the mornings. I'm a total morning person so things like "snoozing" the alarm make no sense to me.
@NYTino24 sorry for the strange cycle! I think you're right that CM is less important for an IUI because hopefully the sperm are almost there anyway. Hopefully you get out of limbo soon - that's a crappy place to be.
@inthewoods23 good luck wit your ETA testing! I'm no help about that, I can keep all FX for normal tests! I'm seeing a lot of hubbies on here who need help expressing their emotions...mine too. It's got to be at least partially a male thing, but sometimes it makes them hard to relate to! Like, why aren't you crying right now?

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Testing starts today, CD3 bloodwork coming up as soon as I can sneak out to run to the lab.
How are things going?: Ok, I'm anxious about testing and what it will and won't find. I'm anxious about getting MH the SA because they want us to go through our PCP, and now I'm second guessing our decision to start the testing with my OB-GYN and maybe I should have taken the "straight to the RE" card. Then I try to remind myself that I wasn't sure what RE I wanted when she made the offer, and waiting to make my decision is probably the best way to do that.
I also have an annual party coming up next weekend that I'm already dreading. I have a strong feeling there will be an in-person KU announcement there, and I'm having an anxiety attack about it. I did a run yesterday afternoon that helped my anxiety so much, but those endorphins are long gone and I think I need a new hit today. Will have to jump on my home elliptical tonight.
Any questions?: Nope, just sitting here waiting.
GTKY: what are your SO's best/worst traits?: Best: he's funny and considerate, he is literally always thinking about me, he surprises me with little treats all the time. He's the best gift giver ever (not just for me, he's responsible for all gifts that we give). He's hard working - he worked his butt off to get his degree when we were in our mid-20s, and he has made upward moves ever since, he's currently spending his free time studying for another certification to help him get a better job in a year or two. Worst: he's been spoiled by his mom - he never picks up after himself, he literally just walks away from a mess he's just made (she cleans up after him, you can always tell where he was sitting at his parent's). On the flip side, he also is a person who when he wants something done it has to be done immediately - so if he wants to move a piece of furniture if I'm in the middle of something else too bad, his thing needs to happen instantaneously.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): 5mg Letrozole, Trigger and IUI on 9/30
How are things going?: Pretty good, for now LOL - I'm in a good head space at the moment. I'm not expecting the 1st IUI to work... I actually have a really good feeling about the next one, for some reason. Anyway, my boobs started to become slightly tender yesterday, which they usually do the week before AF arrives, so there's that... although I know it can also mean something else! I felt a weird popping sensation in my lower abdomen while sleeping last night. It woke me up and made me go "hmmmmm" but it only happened once. So bizarre, and probably nothing at all haha
Any questions?: The Letrozole/Trigger/IUI combination should make my cycle relatively normal, right? Like, I shouldn't have another 40 day cycle of some sort? If that is the case, I'm looking forward to not waiting forever to start the next round if this one doesn't pan out.
GTKY: what are your SO's best/worst traits?
Pros - He's simply the greatest and brings so much light and love and laughter in my life. He is exactly the kind of husband I always envisioned having. He's my biggest supporter and is always encouraging me to do things for me. He just makes me feel so loved, at all times, and puts me/our family first. He has such good values, and usually will do the dishes for me after I cook dinner... I really don't know how I landed him!!
His flaw - he leaves bunches of paper towels all over the house and he works a lot!
@b_1029 maybe it could be implantation spotting? I know I'm probably not helping, but I'll remain hopeful for you even if you've lost hope. As for YH not sharing feelings enough... I feel like that's most men...ugh!
@hanshotfirst77 man, do I know what that roller coaster of hope/no hope feels like! It's not fun!! Are they going to do put you on progesterone now while you wait? What else did they say about it?
@NYTino24 I know that they do the sperm was for both the IUI and the SA so technically it is the same thing but I don't know if they would count that or not. I feel like they would though. And the CM doesn't matter when doing an IUI because you're bypassing all of that anyway!
@inthewoods23 I just really want all of your questions to be able to be answered :-\
@jennifer_louise I really hope AF arrives for you today so you don't have to worry about your timing and trip. I've had to do that twice now and it sucks so much! So much added stress, as if we don't have enough already, right?
@mvt2003 I'm so happy you're starting your testing today!! And when you get home, run that little face off and de-stress yourself! Do whatever you need to do to calm your nerves

GTKY: what are your SO's best/worst traits? Hmm...well, he won't learn how to cook which is annoying and he sometimes forgets he's not the only one in the house. But he has a very good heart and is very supportive of me in whatever I do.
@hanshotfirst77 There is always hope and we are here if you need some electronic hugs. I know this month is going to be a long one for me as well PS. Love your name
@NYTino24 I agree with @jennifer_louise. The CM is less important when it is IUI since the sperm are being placed in your uterus directly. Fx!
@inthewoods23 Everything is crossed for your testing and I hope you get some answers.
@jennifer_louise It is odd hoping that AF shows up I'm sorry for the crappy weekend<3
@mvt2003 Taking your time to pick an RE is very smart. It is your cycle (and money) after all. Hopefully the party will be a fun time and no anxiety inducing events will occur.
@kpearse99 Love the positive attitude. Such a hard thing to achieve in this overall process so good on you.
Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained sub-fertility
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IVF starting with BCP and baby aspirin. Then BW, all the injections and trigger for ER.
How are things going?: Fine. Feeling a little sleepy all the time. I don't know if it is because I have been going to bed at 10 instead of my regular 9 (party animal) or because of the BCP. Anyway, this month is going by incredibly slowly since this is my first cycle of IVF and I am anxious for ER and transfer. I was going to start the curling season this year, but it falls right around ER and I don't fancy my chances on ice.
Any questions?: How do you take one day at a time in this? I thought after nearly 3 years of TTC I would have learned patience. Seems not to be true...
GTKY: what are your SO's best/worst traits? Best is hard to narrow down. He is affectionate and goofy with a nice, firm hockey butt. He is able to calm me down quickly and knows when to poke fun because I am being ridiculous. CNN shared an article from the European Journal of Preventative Cardiology about what dad's can do to improve baby's health before conception and he is all on board. His worst trait is his friggin socks! They are everywhere in the house! It's as if when he takes them off they become invisible to him. Pick them up!!
@emeraldduchess Hope you don’t need that IUI, but we will be here if you do!
@meri-mac It’s great that YH is willing to do whatever he can. I hope your ER goes well and that it results in a THB.

@emeraldduchess Fx so hard for you that you won't even need the IUI next cycle, but if you do I hope the IUI does the trick! I'm with you on that TWW crazy train though lol.
@kpearse99 I'm glad you are in such a good place with this cycle. Fx for you beta buddy!
So it was 5 on Friday(day of transfer), They wanted to see 7, so they had me ditch the suppositories and just go with PIO every day. My poor butt lol. I got to speak with my nurse today though which was so nice I was stuck with on call nurses over the weekend. And I had so many questions. But she had me come in today to check my progesterone again and I'm so hoping it looks better today. But she eased a lot of my fears of the whole cycle being doomed so that is relief.
@NYTino24 Oddly enough mine was 5 too. The nurse told me that day of transfer (since it was an endometrin day for me) They were expecting 7. I'm still not quite sure I understand the whole thing, how it would be different if it was a day I was on PIO. But regardless your story makes me have some more hope.
@meri-mac Good luck with starting IVF! And thank you I'm a huge Star Wars nerd!

@hanshotfirst77 that's weird that they would have you stop the Endometrin if your progesterone is low. Hope things still turn out ok!
@NYTino24 our sperm wash reports never included morph so I doubt (at least in my case) that they would be considered an SA.
@jennifer_louise bahah sometimes I think DH has no heart or soul because he doesn't cry. But when he does it makes ME cry.
@kpearse99 yes it should be normal since the trigger causes the ovulation 🙂 so then there's just waiting the usual LP time. Although with the progesterone after IUI your LP may be a few days longer. After stopping suppositories I'd get AF about 3 or 4 days later.
@meri-mac it was helpful for me when on BC to just keep a countdown, especially when I was on BC for like 45 days before my FET last month. I like to visually see progress and you can see that with each pill gone in the pack. All I knew was that I had 1 more day behind me. Even just looking forward to whenever the next appointment was was helpful for me since that was much few days away than the ER or the FET.

@hanshotfirst77 They caught it really early, so hopefully with the change your progesterone will be just where you need it to be! Everything crossed for you.
@NYTino24 I am no expert, but I dont think that cm matters much with an IUI. Otherwise they would give you some sort of medication to put that in line with what is needed. Try not to worry too much just yet. I know, I know...easier said. Not sure about the sa though. Fingers crossed that it is if needed.
@inthewoods23 Yay for normal test results and a clear HSG!!
@jennifer_louise Come on AF! Hopefully she doesn't complicate your life any more than she does already. MH is not a morning person either. He needs coffee and 'time' to process before you can get him to do anything. I am the same as you though.
@mvt2003 Good luck with the testing. Hope that it all goes smoothly. Here is hoping that you are wrong about that party and there is no reason to be anxious. Go for a run is definitely helpful though. I would be a mess if I did not work out.
@kpearse99 FX that the weird popping was something great happening! Sometimes it only takes the one time. But being open minded about it is good.
@emeraldduchess Do not fear, you are not alone on the crazy train. We are all in good company!
@meri-mac Hi friend! So glad that you decided to post again. You got this! Remind yourself that you are doing everything you can right now and science is doing the hard part.
Diagnosis (if you've been): AMA, MFI (low morph)
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): possibly IVF next cycle. If we can get everything pulled together in time.
How are things going?: Been having waves of 'we got this and I am ready for another cycle' to, 'omg we are doing another cycle, how can we possibly have everything fall into place in time!'. The clinic called Friday and they could not find my records on my last pap, so I had to go in today for one and they put a rush on it. Also still waiting on my CMV results so we know which donor to pick. All should technically be on file and good to go by the time AF shows up next.....which is on, Saturday. Ugh, the donor sperm is likely not going to make it in time so I am hoping that the clinic will understand and give me some leeway here. We wait and see.
Any questions?:
GTKY: what are your SO's best/worst traits? He is very supportive of me and what I want to do. He cooks and is extremely handy around the house. He is terrible at 'follow through' though. He does a job and then will leave tools exactly where he used them last, or not clean up after himself. Never seen someone use every dish in the kitchen to heat water on the stove. MH has skills!

@kpearse99 Thank you!
@hanshotfirst77 That is my thought too. I don' want the whole thing called off just because I couldn't order in time, when it would still be there weeks in advance. I will send them an email and just ask them what else they need and hope that I can move this forward. Thank you. Woohoo!! Yes progesterone!! Great update.
@mvt2003 Oh man that is frustrating! Why can't things just be simple?!
@nitnat007 you got this!! Hope everything falls into place for you!
ETA: speaking of refreshing inboxes, I have been checking mine like once an hour to see if there are new test results posted on my portal. Nothing new yet and I am so annoyed at waiting! 😅 I don't even know how many results I should expect back!!
@mvt2003 what do they even want to see him for? My OB just told me to have DH schedule an appointment to provide the sperm for the SA and then he reviewed the results. Only fter the SA did we see a urologist since his number is on the low end of normal.

@hanshotfirst77 You know better than to go down the rabbit hole! So glad your progesterone rose nicely! There’s still hope this cycle will be a success. Hope you find some time to do something nice for yourself this week.
@NYTino24 Sorry you are in IUI limbo. I don’t think CM matters much since the IUI bypasses it. Glad the last SA was good!
@inthewoods23 Glad some of the testing has come back normal. I think it’s helpful to write down the questions and them worry about them later if you find that is one of the problems. That way it’s written down and doesn’t have to keep running through your mind.
@jennifer_louise Sorry you had such a triggering weekend. Hugs!
@mvt2003 Glad you started some testing! Sorry you may have to deal with an in-person announcement. Those are the worst. If it happens, remember deep breaths. You will get through it. Then you can fall apart when you get home.
@kpearse99 Glad to hear you are in a good head space now. FX for you!
@emeraldduchess Glad you had great timing and are feeling ready for IUI next cycle!
@meri-mac GL with your upcoming IVF! I find meditation/yoga very helpful, but having patience throughout this is so hard.
@nitnat007 You got this! Keeping FX everything will fall into place in time for you!
Diagnosis (if you've been): Still testing, but MFI
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Met with fertility clinic today and next month I will have HSG and more bloodwork. I have to repeat CD3 testing because she said my estrogen was high and could be making my FSH/LH appear lower than they actually are. DH has genetic testing and more in-depth SA testing. I will start letrozole next month or the month after (I have to decide) and she suggested IVF as probably our best option. We will talk more about IUI vs. IVF at our next appointment once we have all the test results back, but due to the MFI she didn’t think IUI would be a good option for us.
How are things going: So overwhelmed with all the info thrown at us today and I’m still trying to process everything. I have a lot of big decisions to make in the next few months. The good news is I got an ultrasound done today, results in spoiler:
Any questions?: For those of you who went through IUIs prior to IVF, do you regret spending money on them? I really want to know that I’ve tried everything before moving on to IVF but I don’t want to spend money if they don’t think it will be successful.
GTKY: He is very thoughtful and does little things for me all the time, like helping me put my meals together for work or making my morning coffee for me. I love that he can always make me laugh and gives the best hugs. I wish he was more open to discussing his thoughts/feelings- especially around IF, he doesn’t really open up at all. And it drives me up the wall that although he will do the dishes, he hardly ever washes the counters. The other day, there was literally pieces of broccoli all over the counter just sitting there, so I had to do it myself.
Edited to add info

@hanshotfirst77 excellent news today! I so glad your body responded so quickly to the progesterone.
@mvt2003 Boooo for getting the runaround from the docs! Weird that your PCP needs to get involved, mine hasn't been this entire time! Well I hope it all gets figured out super fast.
@nitnat007 wow you're moving so fast to IVF! I sincerely hope all the logistics work out for getting this in there so fast!
@kpearse99 I'd assume your cycle would be normal, LP wise. You're not on progesterone, correct?
@meri-mac welcome! Always sad to see new faces around here but happy to have new friends!! Hope you move on quick!
