How I found out: Was on a flight back to Toronto from Texas after going to see Eric Clapton at his Crossroads guitar festival. I felt dizzy because it was so hot. I almost fainted. Took a pregnancy test when I got home and got my positive husband heard me squeal "yesssssss!" from the washroom. Got a lowish beta of 47, but increased to 127, 266 then 590. Have my first u/s next week 🤞🏽
I am a Speech Language Pathologist and private practice owner. I love yoga, spinning, art, traveling, nature and getting pampered 💅
Married for 2 years, best friends for 15, furbaby is Otis. This is our second pregnancy after experiencing a loss in the Spring. We are so hopeful for our rainbow baby 🌈
I found out because I Had sore boobs and a bit of bloating. So I took a test almost as a joke to prove to my husband I wasn’t.
I’m 32 and I have a 3 year old.
*TW* We’ve been ttc for 2 and a half years, I’ve had two miscarriages, one ectopic (lost a tube), two rounds of IVF (one didn’t work, one did but CP) and we just found out we were pregnant naturally. Go figure. I was told my chances of this happening were less than 10% because my one tube is blocked so I’m cautiously optimistic.
my betas have always been low but the one we took yesterday and 3w6d was 95 so that’s better than it’s ever been at this stage.
*lurking from TTGP* @kiki75 So many congrats to you!!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
I saw you were the most recent post & thought it was an intro & I was so excited. 😕 I’ve been lurking & rooting for you! (eta: I know, but there was that second of hope.)
Me: 34 DH: 38 Married: June 2011 TTC since Feb 2016 BFP#1: 7/7/16 MMC: 8/16/16 BFP#2: 5/8/17 - CP BFP#3: 6/27/17 EDD: 3/10/18
I introduced in May as well; I’m not totally sure which one I will end up in as I’m unsure on due date still. BFP last week and it was a shocker; I had been on birth control since the birth of my April 17 baby. I have three kids total ages 13 (bonus) 3 and 2 all boys; lucky me 😜. I’ve delivered my boys both at 32 weeks due to PRom and placenta abruption so this will be a high risk pregnancy for me. I got super close with my last birth month and talk to most daily. I’m looking forward to experiencing everything again with a new BMB.
How I fount out...gee. I woke up in the middle of the night to terrible flank pain, to the point of crying and vomiting as a result. Went to the ER where they told me my urine was positive for a kidney stone and pregancy.
I am a high school physics and engineering teacher at an all-boys private school. I also teach dance twice a week and take 4 adult classes.
I have been married to my husband for 3.5 years. We just started trying so this would be my first. I have a dog Samson, and two cats, Cantaloupe (Loupe) and Dexter.
@rabbitmama09 Hi and welcome! this is my first pregnancy too. I am looking forward to getting advice from a lot of the ladies here that are on their 2nd or 3rd, but nice to have another newbie
- How you found out - I received a phone call from our IVF clinic and got to call my husband with the good news
- Hobbies, Job, Etc. - I am an Elementary School Reading Teacher (Grades K-3 this year)
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies - My husband and I have been married for 9 years. We have a 3.5 year old son and a 7 year old dog
- Anything you’d like us to know - I have Ulcerative Colitis and had my colon removed 2 years ago. 6 months after that, I had another surgery to create a j-pouch, which allowed me to have the ileostomy reversed and get rid of my bag. This is our first pregnancy via IVF and my first pregnancy with a pouch, so it feels like a completely different experience and I’m learning a lot as I go.
How you found out- I’ve been on vacation in Italy and was feeling TERRIBLE the whole time so figured something was up. We’ve been trying so I had taken a very BFN test before leaving. I took one as soon as I got back from the airport and yup- BFP!
Hobbies/ Job- I work as a sales manager in the London office of an online company. It’s a crazy job
Spouse, Partner, Kids or Furbabies I’ve been married for four years and we have a 2.5 year old DD who is the queen of tantrums.
Anything you’d like us to know- I’m an American who’s lived in London, England for 10 years. I joined a BMB with my daughters pregnancy and made some AMAZING friends. Looking forward to building another community!
- How you found out Peed on many things - we were temping, etc., so I just found out today at 9 DPO
- Hobbies, Job, Etc. Weight lifting, running (benched due to foot injury right now), cooking/all food, cats!
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies Married with one daughter, Emma, who turned 3 this past May! Edit: Oh, duh, and we have 2 cats! Buzzy & Luna (Luna is in my profile pic bein' cute)
- Anything you’d like us to know 🙂 I have PTSD & OCD that got really really bad during my last pregnancy & especially after giving birth. Things got really dark. I was hospitalized when my daughter was 7 weeks old because of my mental health (I had completely stopped sleeping; it took them 5 days to get me to sleep). I am really hoping this pregnancy will be totally different, but I'll probably start an ongoing mental health check-in if everyone's OK with it!
@diagonalley we were in Rome!! One of my fave cities though it was a bit stressful with a moody two year old lol. At least one of the only foods she eats readily is pizza haha
my edd is June 12th. I found out because I was cramping and I don’t normally have period cramps. I decided to test 3 days before my expected period date and I had 3 very positive tests!
I work in the boring world of Health insurance, but I love my job. I work from home often which will help once morning sickness kicks in. My husband and I have been married almost 4 years. We have a 14 month old son and the absolute best dog that is almost 3.
Hi! I’m terrified to join, but maybe the pregnant after infertility thread will be a good little niche for me to hang as I lurk the ttgp board, which was my place for the last 9 months. Of course, it’s nice to see a couple familiar names here, and I look forward to seeing more.
Edd is maybe 6-8-20.
We started trying in May 2018. After a year without success, we went to an RE, where I found out that I needed surgery for a blocked tube and a bent tube. Post laparoscopy, I took meds for 3 months to get my body/endometriosis to some kind of workable baseline, then had a busted letrozole cycle where I had too many eggs, then decided to ditch the meds, and then somehow got a little miracle.
We just got the news today that baby made it to the uterus, and that is a HUGE relief since I was terrified of how we had higher chances of ectopic due to my tubes.
I am a middle school and high school English teacher, turned sahm with dd, who is 2.5yo. Husband is an electrical engineer. As for hobbies, I like painting, gardening, trying out recipes when the mood strikes, and hiking (read:walking outside 😉). And I’m so excited to be here!!
How I found out: I had worked all weekend and there was an infectious patient that my pregnant coworker couldn't care for which made me start thinking because I had been nauseous on and off so I took a test when I got home and it was positive..and so have been the 7 other tests I have taken 🙈
Hobbies/Job: Med-Surg nurse. We love camping and traveling.
Spouse: my husband and I have been married 5 years. We have an 8 year old cat and a spoiled dog who just turned 2. He is in for a rude awakening.
Anything you'd like us to know: This is my first pregnancy so I am nervous and don't really know what to expect. Some of the early symptoms I have had, such as nausea, have gone away which makes me even more nervous. I just need to chill and take it one day at a time.
Funny story, I had an old Spanish lady as a patient, she looked and me and nonchalantly asks "boy or girl?", I replied "oh, no no". My coworkers and I thought it was funny because there are so many of them pregnant again. I took a test the next day and immediate positive. Still freaking out a little, we had decided August no more kids. I havent told DH yet because we havent seen each other, planning on telling him tomorrow with a shirt I bought our youngest to wear.
- Hobbies, Job, Etc: I dont really have hobbies. I am a critical care RN and a chauffer to the kids
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: DH and I will celebrate 3 years this Wednesday, we met when I was 15, lost touch and found each other 16 years later. We have an almost 8 year old girl that he has treated as his own from day 1 and an almost 2 year old who keeps usboj our toes.
Hi ladies! This is the first time that I've written on one of these boards. I'm very excited to share this journey with you all! - EDD: June 3 - How you found out: HPT. I kept going back and forth for a couple of days as to whether or not take a test. I kept convincing myself that my symptoms were in my head, and I didn't want to be disappointed with a negative test. Two days before my period was due I noticed a drop in my BBT, so I figured I would get my period right on time. The next day my BBT jumped back up, so I decided to take a test, and it came back positive! Went to the doctor's the next day to confirm with a blood test, and all looked good - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I'm a wildlife biologist in Portland, Oregon (I noticed a couple of other PNW moms on this thread already--yay!). I enjoy being outdoors and being active. I was getting ready to head to Belize for a yoga retreat next week, but when I saw my doctor to confirm pregnancy she told me I should cancel due to the risk of Zika. It was a hard pill to swallow (at this point the trip is non-refundable), but hopefully it will be worth the sacrifice! - Anything you’d like us to know: DH and I have been TTC for almost 2 years. We started seeing an RE this past spring, did two rounds of IUI, conceived after the second round but miscarried in July. Our RE told us to wait two full cycles before trying IUI again, but we conceived naturally during my second cycle. I've been doing a lot of acupuncture lately and I'm convinced it has something to do with our success. Still, I'm extremely nervous about this current pregnancy. It doesn't feel all that different that the previous one (relatively mild symptoms so far; still doesn't completely feel real). But I'm trying my best to take everything one day at a time and just be grateful that I'm pregnant again.
Hey Ladies! We found out that we are expecting #4 just last Friday. I was testing like a week before and thought that I saw a faint line but I was either seeing things or my hubs was in denial, lol, so I took a digital and confirmed it! I had a gut feeling because my usual PMS pimples didn't show up, lol.
I'm a little surprised that I even got a positive since with my last three I was at least 6 weeks, and there is no way that I was more than 4 weeks when I first got my BFP this time around.
I'm so nervous because my last three pregnancies were tough and all my kiddos needed NICU time. I'm also now in my 30's and have had weight loss surgery so there's the added worry of nutrient malabsorption.
I'm dying to tell someone but Hubs wants to wait until we're further along.
- EDD (Estimated Due Date) June 8 (but all my babies were at least 2 weeks early) - How you found out: Like a million dye tests and then a digital, but we - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: Cooking/Baking, crochet, anything artsy! - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: Hubs, Son 8, Son 7, Daughter 5, 3 little doggies - Anything you’d like us to know: So nervous!
Hi! My oldest two were about the same age difference and they're the best of friends. They're 8 and 7 now and some mornings I still find them sleeping in the same bed together!
- EDD: June 4th - How you found out: Went to the hospital with chest pain and anxiety. Everything turned out fine, but surprise! The nurse came back after they did blood work and asked if I was pregnant, then informed me I was. We had JUST started trying so I wasn't expecting it to happen so soon! - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I work in a university library and am in the middle of my masters degree in library and information science. I'm also a writer and I read a lot. My husband and I love to travel (just went on our last couple-only trip for awhile to England and Scotland), watch TV shows together, and play Legend of Zelda games. We live in Central Florida and spend a lot of time at the theme parks so it's killing me not being able to go on so many of the rides for the next 8 months! - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: Just me and my husband! We've been married a little over 6 years.
@a_rae123 and @_booksbooksbooks_ Hi! this is my first pregnancy too! I am very nervous, not knowing what to expect and trying not to look too far down the road just yet. Have you guys found any good books/blogs/podcasts you like yet??
-EDD: Approximately June 14th! - How you found out: Basically September is my witching month and so I just knew it would be positive! - Hobbies, Job, Etc: My fiancée and myself own a bbq business, hobbies are watching movies, hunting, spending money 🤷♀️ And spending time with our kids. - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: I am engaged, we have been together for almost 3 years. He has 2 older boys and I have 3 little girls whom he claims as his own. No furbabies as we rent currently and like to travel. - Anything you’d like us to know: TW (I think this is how to use that?) This will be my third pregnancy in one year, and I have had three miscarriages in the last two years. I am terribly scared this will end in a miscarriage as well, but I am trying to stay positive. I was a member of BabyBump for years and I am so glad to finally find it again!
@thumper615 I bought "We're Pregnant! The First-Time Dad's Handbook" for my husband and we both really like it so far! It goes through what is happening to both mom and baby each week of pregnancy
- How you found out: HPT. 3 days late for my period which is usually spot on.
- Hobbies, Job, Etc: Being outdoors: fishing, taking my pups to the river, camping, bike rides. Cooking. Oh and reality tv.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: Husband an I have been married for 7 months, been together for 7 years. Two pups: marley (lab) Bowie (Rhodesian ridgeback)
- Anything you’d like us to know 🙂: First time here and first time pregnancy! Very excited and nervous... first appt 10/18
Lurking from TTGP - @saladflambe Yes girl!!!!!!!! I was wondering where you went from the TWW thread and here you are!! So happy for you!!! So hoping I get to come join you soon!!!

@sheayaz9 hi, our stories and timelines are pretty similar, expect I have cats instead of dogs (for now!). Congrats on your pretty recent wedding and welcome
I’m a mom to a 4 year old (boy) and a 17 month old (girl). I wanted a third but I’m still breastfeeding my girl so my cycles are a mess. My first postpartum period was Aug 16th and I bled for 20 days and it was so heavy I ended up having to go to the ER. I then haven’t had a period since. Took a million tests but they were all negative and so I stopped testing and figured my cycle was just a mess.
I’ve been feeling pretty tired and off so thought I was fighting something off. Tonight I seriously don’t know what made me take a test but I did... right after eating a giant cold cut sandwich and sure enough it was a strong BFP.
I’m still in shock. Excited. Nervous. Complete panic. All of the above.
Based on possible dates of conception I believe my EDD is June 12th.
TW I’ve had two miscarriages so I’m trying to be cautious because I know all too well what can happen but it’s basically impossible. I love this baby already.
Really nice to "meet" you all! Looking forward to this amazing journey.
- EDD: June 6th (not confirmed by ob yet basing it off day of conception)
- How you found out: My youngest son (4) randomly said to me momma you have a baby in your belly. I had been feeling pregnancy tired for a week or so and that particular day I felt very off. So i decided to POAS and within seconds there were 2 pretty pink lines.
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I am the transportation coordinator for my towns Special Education office. Although it is not my dream job it is very rewarding and humbling. It's also extremely close to my home and my oldest son's school. Prior to that I was a SAHM for 7 years.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: Committed to the love of my life, 2 boys 8 & 4, 2 dogs Buddy 13 & George almost 2

Welcome! How funny about your 4 year old because my 4 year old did the same thing! He’s been saying there’s a baby in my belly for the last couple of weeks. Apparently he was right!
Aww thank you so much @mindyb2019 hoping to have some TTC friends here soon! June 20 is also my brother's birthday it's a good day to be born! (or at least due... lol)
Happy to see another person who’s been with their husband since high school! Similar stories! First baby too and our fur baby, Maisy, is our whole life! Congrats!!!

- How you found out: Went to the hospital with chest pain and anxiety.
- How you found out: Basically September is my witching month and so I just knew it would be positive!

EDD (Estimated Due Date): June 2nd.
- How you found out: HPT. 3 days late for my period which is usually spot on.

EDD 2: June 20, 2020
I’m a mom to a 4 year old (boy) and a 17 month old (girl). I wanted a third but I’m
still breastfeeding my girl so my cycles are a mess.
TW
I’ve had two miscarriages so I’m trying to be cautious because I know all too well what can happen but it’s basically impossible.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: Committed to the love of my life, 2 boys 8 & 4, 2 dogs Buddy 13 & George almost 2
expected due date: June 13,2020
