FFFC 9/27

DISCLAIMER: not necessarily flame free

Re: FFFC 9/27

  • So I guess going along with locking my keys in the car this morning my FFFC is that I am no stranger to that. I have locked my keys in the car probably 10-12 times in my life. Once, I did it 3 times within 3 months and AAA said that I hit the maximum for the year and would not help me anymore for free. I have no idea why because I am not prone to other dumb things like that but yep. It hasn't happened in two years since I finally got a car smart enough not to lock the doors when it knows the keys are inside but today I happened to be driving my husbands car so.... guess I was due.

  • @rachelg777 - I am also notorious for locking my keys in my car - it irritates my husband like nothing else. I don't know why I do it, but it happens way more than I'd like to admit.
  • @chewie5990 haha same! My husband is like I just don’t get it... and I’m like me either but 🤷‍♀️

  • @rachelg777 we have onstar and you can lock/unlock and start your car from an app or from your apple watch which is amazing and gives me a little more peace of mind since I worry a ton about that kind of stuff happening! So glad it was a nice day and everything worked out ok for you this morning!
  • @rachelg777 I have locked my keys in my car approximately 1 million times. The best two were once in high school it was running, in drive, in the Taco Bell parking lot and once in my garage, also running (the door was open don’t worry there) but my cat was in it! Scared the crap out of the AAA guy when he went to open it.
  • @bender29 Bah-hahaha, I'm dying at that mental image. 😂

  • @bender29 lol! Omg my cat would be freaking out. Once I locked myself out a gas station and it was super busy that day and I kept having to go tell the people behind me in line to go somewhere else. 🤦‍♀️ I also once locked myself out of my house in my underwear without my phone. I had just moved there 3 days before, great way to meet the neighbors.
  • I locked my keys in the car, along with my son and my cell phone, a few years ago. I had to panic run to get my husband's phone and call 911 to come get the poor boy out. We'd just gotten home from Target, so he was still buckled into his seat. I have a habit of leaving my keys in the car, so I put them in my purse and got out to get him. I accidentally closed my door, and it automatically locked. Scariest minutes of my life until the cop came.
  • Plus my phone and wallet were in the car, so I had to go in the house and email my husband! We don’t have a landline! My husband signed up for AAA and then called them for me! 🤣
