What's going on this week? I'm effing sick again! My throat felt like I had razor blades in it last night and I feel like death this morning. Feeling like garbage in general has not helped.

How far along are you? 6+6.

Upcoming appointments? October 11th.

Cravings/Symptoms? Mostly aversions. I feel crappy if I'm not constantly eatin . My boobs hurt, I'm exhausted and peeing all the time. The pregnancy sex dreams have started too. I'm not complaining about those, though...😏

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm freaking out about our car situation. We just bought a new car and now we're going to have to buy a bigger one to fit six. The car we bought was expensive and we're not going to get back what we paid for it. We'll probably have to roll some of that into a new car payment. So I'm just stressed about the entire situation.

Questions? Does anyone have a really nice Suburban they want to sell for way under value? 😉

@ruby696 Between MIL stories and matching sore throats, I'm starting to think we're the same person. Minus the twins part.

And YES! OMG the crazy pregnancy sex dreams I have! They'd make a pro blush. Sorry about the car situation. That is so stressful!

What's going on this week? Scan yesterday went well! OB is not concerned about the SCH, but that doesn't stop me from worrying.

How far along are you? 7+6 officially based on my 6w scan. Which is 4 days behind where I tracked and was measured at my 8w scan yesterday, but whatever. It's fine. I'm fine.

Upcoming appointments? Unsure when the next one is. I'm waiting for a call from genetic counseling about NIPT. I have my labs ordered and will probably go do those tomorrow.

Cravings/Symptoms? More aversions than cravings. Some nausea, and a couple of instances of vomiting. Peeing so much. Super super tired and grouchy.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm getting sick apparently, as well. And I can't take anything good. Cough drops are okay when KU, right? I need to go dig up my list of approved meds.

Questions? Do people who do an NIPT still get a 12w scan? What aout if you're paying out of pocket for NIPT? I almost feel like if insurance isn;t going to cover NIPT for me, then they should cover a 12w scan, right?

What's going on this week? Well I'm clearly out of it since I thought it was Thursday!

Anyways, we have swimming lessons with DD tonight. Tomorrow is a home football game, I actually have the opportunity to go, but DH is working, I don't want to ask my parents to babysit, and I don't want to spend the money on the ticket -- even if its only face value. I'm not looking forward to the game day traffic after work trying to go pick up DD though. Friday's my mom watches DD and I guess they will be heading to their lakehouse at some point in the day. Then I will head up there after work sometime, or maybe have a night with DH alone and go Saturday. Then Saturday we are celebrating my SIL's daughters birthday at my parents lakehouse. Sunday we are having a family brunch with my best friend and her family. Too much going on, I am not excited.

How far along are you? 7 weeks tomorrow

Upcoming appointments? I'm getting more thyroid labs drawn tomorrow. Then I have my ultrasound on the 11th and my first OB appointment on the 14th.

Cravings/Symptoms? None really, which is still giving me anxiety. I guess maybe I have some queasy-ness, but very rarely. Once in a while regular food doesn't sound good and I just want to eat pizza or other junk food, but that is rare too.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I am still just counting down the days until my mini vacation next weekend!

@ruby696 That sucks about the car situation, at least you have some time and can look for a good deal!

@shamrocandroll I have no clue about those scans or tests. With DD we didn't have any of that. We just got a binder from the doctor yesterday and it had a big list of meds that were ok for different ailments. I'll have to look and see if cough drops are on it.

@shamrocandroll Yes, you should still do the NT. That looks for conditions not found with NIPT testing. I would do both if you could, but I would almost do NT over NIPT. You might want to chat with @chichiphin because she knows a lot about NT testing.

@m6agua I'm tired just reading your post. I hope you're able to relax at the lakehouse!

What's going on this week? Packing and moving stuff to the storage units!

How far along are you? 5+5

Upcoming appointments? Monday morning ultrasound! I’m so nervous.

Cravings/Symptoms? Nausea, tiredness, not really any cravings or aversions right now

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I’ve had some minor cramping so I’m freaking out. But I also remember with DD that I showed up to the 7 week appointment convinced that I had miscarried because of cramping but everything was fine... so I have to keep reminding myself of that.

Questions? Not currently!

ETA: I’ll have to do tags later when I can get computer access because my phone is spotty!

@ruby696 @shamrocandroll I'm sorry you guys are getting sick! The worst at this point in the pregnancy. Hope you feel better soon.

Also, I think cough drops are okay as long as they don't have menthol (or at least don't go overboard on the menthol). Re NT - I did NIPT last time and they still did a scan around 12 weeks.. I want to say they started to look at the heart and other major things to make sure all looked on track but didn't focus specifically on neck spacking measurements since I had already done the NIPT. Maybe they did though and just didn't say anything.

@m6agua So busy! I hope you are able to enjoy the weekend.

@mokay19 Good luck packing! I had quite a bit of cramping/low back pain around 5 weeks. I know it definitely produces anxiety though!

What's going on this week? Not too much this week, thank goodness. Just the usual. This weekend we are going to a huge Harry Potter themed event on Saturday and then to a family friendly horse race on Sunday. They have a bouncy house and all sorts of kids activities so it should be fun.

How far along are you? 7 weeks

Upcoming appointments? Next Friday 10/4

Cravings/Symptoms? Just feel awful but whatever. This too shall pass. I was just thinking, I'm surprised I haven't had any nose bleeds yet!

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm starting to get so nervous for my appointment but it still feels so far away. Next week is going to draaaaaag.

What's going on this week? It was Parents night at school last night. Getting home was hard, DD was still up (at 9pm) and needed cuddles, today was so tough. I'm just so tired! Three day weekend though! Although one day will be devoted to catching up on school work.

How far along are you? 6+3

Upcoming appointments? First ultrasound in 18 days (but who's counting?). Its followed by a check up appointment too.

Cravings/Symptoms? No real cravings. I go from very nauseous to feeling ok, not the best. Smells are strong. Tired. My boobs decided to suddenly feel super full and heavy. They only hurt from time to time. And the blump, most definitely helped by how gassy I am.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? Rant about the nurse I saw at my appointment Monday. I brought up a concern that when I took the first pre-natal (of the same brand they had me use last time) I got really bad diarrhea so I switched back to the brand I used while TTC. She was all snippy "I don't know what's in that". I compared the labels, they're very similar. I just find it suspect that they only want me taking the ones they have free samples of.

@ruby696 Sorry you're sick!! Hopefully you're feeling better today.

@shamrocandroll I hear you on the grouchy. I swear with DD I didn't take anything for 9 months. It was hard. Probably won't do the same this time around.

@m6agua That sounds exhausting this weekend. I just want to crawl in bed and sleep. DD can pile toys around me.

@mokay19 FX for a healthy little one at the US Monday! Same on the cramping. I had it with DD too. I have to figure out when its actually just extreme gas/bloat too and calm down.

@rachelg777 That weekend sounds like a lot of fun to me! Enjoy!

@shamrocandroll I have the same issue with my due date. I know when I O’d which puts it at 4/9, but OB set it at 4/11 based on first scan, which would have been almost 8 weeks based on LMP, but I knew I O’d about a week late. Based on 10 week scan, I was measuring ahead of what I originally thought and would have EDD of 4/7. Whatever. Everything looked good, so I don’t care about the date she uses.

@ruby696 So sorry about the illness and the car. I knew a couple that bought a brand new Mustang and then found out they were having triplets. Unfortunately, it happens. FWIW, my cousin has 4 kids and small cars. They just take both cars everywhere if both parents go and one car if it’s just one parent and the kid. But, their oldest is old enough for the front seat.

@mercury94 I wish we could do that. But DS isbonly (almost) 5, so I would be uncomfortable with him in the front, even if we turned off the airbag. We've resigned ourselves to just having a car we're not going to like for 5 years. Then, once I don't have 2-3 kids in daycare, I'll spring for a new Suburban. 🙂

ETA: Also, it's nice to "see" you and I hope you're doing well!

@ruby696 Yeah. It’s unfortunate, but I wouldn’t ever put a 5 year old in the front seat either. There’s at least 10 years between my cousin’s oldest and youngest. Keep your eye out for a good deal. We very nearly bought an old Suburban for $10,000 a few months back, but decided to wait until DH’s car was in worse shape since we weren’t in a rush. It had some miles on it, but those things last a while.

What's going on this week? checking in late! it may be Saturday but it's still part of my work week, working all weekend. Vacation is 1 week away though so hoping it all goes quick.

How far along are you? 5w6d

Upcoming appointments? not til Oct 31!

Cravings/Symptoms? a box of chocolates array of symptoms. overwhelming fatigue seems to be consistent. i've had some days with more nausea and that terrible hangover feeling, some dizzy spells, waxing and waning sore boobs and some days with cramps. some insomnia too and wicked dreams. i think my body is trying to decide which symptoms it would like to prevail!

Rants/Raves/Randoms? STM here, and it's always hard to find my place early on in the BMB. if/when this preg is confirmed as viable and thriving hopefully then i will dig in more. thanks for the TTGP check-in- always a home here!
