  • EDD/Weeks + Days: 25w5d is 1/1

Baby is the size of a(n): tarte tatin

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: green

Upcoming Appointments: meeting with my doula tomorrow, other than that a while until my next apt

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): I’m feeling good, cravings are for sweets at this time and hummus! Heartburn has increased and I noticed now none of my hair is falling out in the shower anymore hahha I am also getting so winded by the end of the day from doing basic tasks

Rants/Raves: looks like DD is sick today, her cousin had hand foot and mouth the other week and they were playing together before we realized so im hoping she doesn’t get it, for now it’s just a temp

Questions: anyone else so drained by the end of the day from just basic activity? I can’t tell if I’m just out of shape or just getting closer to third trimester

GTKY:  Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Im definitely a night owl (when not pregnant), I don’t enjoy waking up early haha. But I do love a sunrise/dawn the best, for me that’s the best part of the day

  • @c1kc1kpol1cn1k yes so tired! usually it hits around 5-6pm when i get in from work but today it hit at lunchtime, like i could just lay down at my desk and sleep for an hour! also walking up the stairs completely knackers me so its definitely not just you & not being out of shape, which i very much am but absolutely putting it down to decreased lung capacity due to babies!

    EDD/Weeks + Days: 8th January / 24+5

Babies are the size of a(n): Wine bottles

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Purple

Upcoming Appointments: Tomorrow - Endocrine clinic. Following last weeks disaster of the cancelled clinic and then twin clinic the following day i emailed and basically said its ridiculous that i have to attend the endocrine clinic to sit for hours to see someone for 5 minutes when i already have so many appointments with it being a multiple pregnancy, given that i email in twice a week with my blood sugar readings for review, i have a doctor at home keeping a close eye on my numbers  & at the minute they are under control. 4 different people have come back to me with wishy washy responses, 2 diabetes specialist nurses, one registrar and a dietitian (who was so rude and i wanted to punch). I still have to go tomorrow and see the lead consultant as no one else will accept responsibility and make the call. When i do see them tomorrow i will be refusing to attend the clinic again unless there is a damn good reason. I mean obviously the health and well being of my babies is a priority but being expected to give up a full afternoon at work when i have a demanding busy job (that i already struggle to manage in a 4 day week) to see someone for 5 minutes to do the same thing i email in about 2 times a week already is ridiculous & overkill. I'm a 36 year old, educated, responsible adult & am sticking closely to my diet and keeping my numbers in check not a child who is going crazy eating sugar filled everything!

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): tired and have a proper waddle, my hips are sore and im just generally uncomfortable. Still loving buffalo chicken (again having it for lunch as i type & its still soooooooo good!)

Rants/Raves: Rants - See above about appointments - can you tell its pissing me off! lol Raves - we were at my parents on sat for the night & they looked after dd whilst dh & i went out for dinner. which was so lovely as it feels like we're only passing each other at the minute with work etc. Only downside of that was how full i was after just my starter & could only manage half of my main course which was so yummy that i really wanted to eat it all but just couldnt.

Questions: anyone else so full up after not eating that much?

GTKY:  Are you an early bird or a night owl? Definitely a night owl. That being said, i love going to bed early every once in a while and waking up feeling so well rested. That hasnt happened in a long time cause even if i go to bed early now, im awake randomly in the middle of the night for a few hours and am so bloody uncomfortable!

Just reading all that back, i am truely just a little whinge bag today aren't i! lol
  • @leprechaunlady 5-6 is good, soon as I eat lunch I'm done, I would literally like to lay down on the floor in my office to stretch out hahaha.  Also I get your frustration it seems like a big waste of time especially with what happened last week. It's good you are able to monitor yourself so closely and do what needs to be done! Also yes, I get full very easily so I'm taking small meals all through the day, if I get to full I'm literally done and need to lay down etc

  • EDD/Weeks + Days:  Jan 17/ 23+3

Baby is the size of a(n): Grapefruit

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Pink

Upcoming Appointments:  Fetal echo 10/1 and OB with glucose test 10/2

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): I'm starting to feel more of the pregnancy aches and pains.  Today I swapped out my summer flowers for fall mums in my planters and attempted to weed the garden beds but my back wasn't having any part of it.  Noted.

Rants/Raves: Hubby threw me a surprise 40th birthday this weekend and it was amazing!  I had such a great time and he's never done anything like this for me before.  Still on cloud 9 about it!

Questions:  I've started having night sweats where I wake up drenched and it's not from being hot - we keep our room around 65 degrees overnight with an overhead fan on too.  I remember this happening after the baby last time, but not while pregnant.  Anyone else?  I'm guessing it's hormone related.

GTKY:  Are you an early bird or a night owl?  Neither really, but slightly more of a night owl I suppose.
  • @DalexRN that is awesome about the surprise bday party, good job hubbie! The night sweats ffor me happened mainly in first trimester, and that was a daily thing for a couple weeks, hormone related I believe.
  • EDD/Weeks + Days: 24 weeks, 2 days

GTKY:  Are you an early bird or a night owl? Former night owl, now early bird.  I'm luck if I can get past 9:00 most nights!

  • EDD/Weeks + Days:  26 weeks

Baby is the size of a(n): celery stalk/kale

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: blue

Upcoming Appointments: October 16th - OB and GD test sometime before then

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): peanut butter cups and hot wings. Not together. My cravings aren't that strange yet.

Rants/Raves: Also, needing to lie down after even the smallest meal. The Bump APP is absolute trash. I haven't had that many issues until recently. I can no longer access the community tab, which means I have to actually use my desktop to catch up now. SOOOOOO inconvenient, but I have to admit, it is a lot smoother and easier to type on the Desktop version.

Questions: I was watching a youtuber's pregnancy update and she said she was feeling kicks in her ribs. Mine are always below the belly button. So, I'm assuming thats the difference between carrying high and low... Where is everyone feeling their kicks?

GTKY:  Are you an early bird or a night owl?
I am more productive in the morning, but I have a better mood at night.
  • @alicia__e the bump community tab completely failed for me recently too. I opened a normal internet tab on my phone to do mobile updates. What a pain!!!
  • EDD/Weeks + Days: 24+2

Baby is the size of a(n): Ear of corn

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: green

Upcoming Appointments: Next one will be at 27 weeks for glucose test.

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms):  I got heartburn from eating a cookie last night.  Lame!
I feel like my sides are stretching so much.  It is super uncomfortable.

Rants/Raves: I am thankful that overall things are going ok.

Questions: @alicia__e I feel kicks all over.  All the way down in my pelvis and then sometimes up in my ribs.  Way over to each side at other times.  Sometimes its hands, sometimes feet.  This baby is totally wild.  I guess this baby will not be mellow like its sister...oh well.

Is anyone sleeping exclusively on their left side?  Last pregnancy I was so dedicated to this, but this time I am just trying to find a way to sleep.  Is this bad for the baby?

GTKY:  Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Early bird all the way- have been since day 1, much to the frustration of all of people I love in my life.  Thankfully, dh has adapted to my ways. We used to fight about it a lot.
  • @c1kc1kpol1cn1k yes! ive started taking an afternoon nap around 3-4p. it just hits me like a ton of bricks and i need to lie down
@DalexRN that is the sweetest!!! happy belated!

    EDD/Weeks + Days:  Jan 1/25w,6d

Baby is the size of a(n): cauliflower, as tall as a chopstick

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: waiting (surprised we havent caved yet!)

Upcoming Appointments: GD test next week

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): feeling really good still; no cravings, definitely feeling more shortness of breath randomly. Sometimes I can take the stairs no prob, and other days, I'm winded by the second floor.  Trying to keep a workout routine going but Im definitely getting lazy  :#

Rants/Raves:  agree with all, the bump app is the worst!

    Questions: none so far

GTKY:  Are you an early bird or a night owl? early bird, i love getting up with the sunrise!
  • @alicia__e I’m feeling the kicks all over, sometimes so low like my bladder or coming out the bottom! Sometimes high and a lot to the sides.

@ponyoisfun I have to switch sides, essentially I sleep on whatever side until that side/ hip goes numb then roll to the other side, back and forth all night
  • @c1kc1kpol1cn1k . That is basically me for the switching sides.  I hope thats ok that it is going numb.  I really don't remember this last pregnancy.

@mama_stef . Yay! Another early bird!
  • @ponyoisfun it's ok, last pregnancy I feel like it started much later like well into the 3rd tri, but this time since the beginning almost, even with the added pillow support. It just means we need more stretching and things are familiar from the last time that it starts early. Going to chiro helps a bit for it
  • EDD/Weeks + Days:  24 weeks and 2 days

Baby is the size of a(n): cantaloupe

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: pink 🎀

Upcoming Appointments: October 2nd just a routine checkup and I think I’ll make my appointment for glucose test

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): feeling tired and worn out. This back pain is absolutely horrific but started going to a chiropractor and that’s helping. Not craving anything specific pretty much just want whatever I see lol

Rants/Raves: I can’t stop eating or gaining more weight then I should.  Also hate my friends right now   Might be my hormones talking though

    Questions:

GTKY:  Are you an early bird or a night owl?
