Facebook group?

Is anyone interested in starting a FB group? I find myself not getting on the bump app often because it’s a pain....I’ve switched over around this time for both of my previous pregnancies and both are a close knit group of mamas ❤️

I’m fine with Facebook group, but it worked out better (IMO) once we were here for a while and really got to know one another. Group for DD went to Facebook later in pregnancy. I just hope that if Some of us choose to wait until later it won’t hurt us in the group. 😀

I’m in for a Facebook group as long a it’s closed or better yet secret. I find this app a little difficult to keep up with or remember since it doesn’t give you any notifications for the forums. Unless someone knows how I can turn that on?

For now I'll pass because I'm trying to spend less time in the Facebook vortex. Here-- I can check a few times a day no more than 10 mins total no prob.

I'm okay with Facebook maybe closer to due dates/Januaryish, but I'm cool with here for now. Also trying to cut down on Facebook.

@cnd29 Same. Plus it’s such a slow app ugh. I made the group closed for now, will change to secret if more people join! I also added a question before joining that makes sure people are coming from the bump before being officially added.

I just feel like I never get on the app but I’d still like a group of moms with the same age kids 🤷‍♀️

I joined the FB group, but will also hang out here until (if/when) the majority of the group wants to switch over.

I joined, but I agree with the above.

I am still in a FB group with 70 women from August 2012 and our group did not form until after babies were born and we all "knew" each other.

I'm interested in joining the FB group! I probably won't join just yet, because, as others have said, I don't feel like I "know" many of you yet.

Plus, we still haven't told everyone about our pregnancy, and I wouldn't want friends to find out by seeing I'd joined a FB group, lol.

@ninrms agreed, I feel like fb randomly puts on people’s feeds that so and so joined a group.

@ladybird_ladybird maybe consider going secret with it now instead of later? The link is available here and then people don’t have to worry about people seeing they joined it... I honestly didn’t think about that and I have not FB announced yet...

I'm not opposed to a FB group. I'm still in a FB group from the May 2012 board and we are all very close. In fact, I found my nanny though a member of that group. But we haven't announced to anyone yet, and I don't want to be outed on FB. If the group was secret, I'd consider joining sooner.

@Dana327 Oh shoot, it looks like i would have to personally send you an invite now. It also wont let me change the group back to “Closed” for 30 days.

If you feel comfortable DMing me your name I will add you.

Also, i rechecked what “Closed” meant. No body outside the group will be able to see members or posts or that you've joined the group. So anyone who still hasn’t officially announced is safe once i can change it 🙂

@ladybird_ladybird if it’s closed but not secret, people can’t see what you post but people on your friends list can see that you’re in the group, it could spill the beans for those of us who don’t want to formally announce on social media

This looks like they should only be able to see admin! Once the 28 day lock is off i can post to the group and we can vote on what to set it as.
