Going from 2 kids to 3? What to expect?

My husband and I are seriously considering adding baby #3 to our family. I’m almost 27 in October and we have a boy who is 4, a daughter who will be 2 in February. I don’t want them spaced far apart so that’s why we are not trying to avoid getting pregnant (

) I’ve been off birth control for a few weeks and last night is the first time we started trying. My question is...how is the transition from 2 kids to 3 kids? Is there a huge difference in behaviors? How do the kids react? How is it going out during the day? How did you react emotionally? I’m just trying to prepare myself for how different it will be. Some say it’s not a huge difference if you can do 2 you can do 3. Others say it’s a huge transition and it’s chaos.

Gosh I hope to one day have this problem.

I wouldn’t know

I don’t even have one yet. This is TRYING to get pregnant. Many of us have never been pregnant. Go back and read the pinned posts and then maybe lurk for a bit before you intro on the newbie thread. We don’t operate like other boards.. we like to keep things neat and organized, otherwise the board would get cluttered with all these one-off posts.

Going from 2 to 3 emotionally caused an increase in anxiety, depression, and PTSD from my RPL. However, I was finally able to qualify for testing so I got my hopes up that REs and specialists and testing would allow me to one day have a living child... but those hopes have resulted in epic failure with 2 more MC... so... yeah. As for reacting "going out during the day" it's been utter hell. PG women and women with small children abound as society continually reminds me that living children are it's focus and the "future" and that my barrenness makes me an 'unwoman.'

You are in the wrong place. Maybe the Babies on the Brain board? I guess you could post this in TFAS, but even those ladies generally don’t have 3 children yet. This is a board for women who are trying to get pregnant. Many don’t have any living children, much less 3. Please edit your post to change the name to something less triggering and add a trigger warning (*TW*) for any mention of living children.

Lurk and find the right place for you. You will find lots of support here, but you probably won’t find the answer to this particular question.
