  • 1) The story I told in the ring gtky :disappointed:

    2) When I lived in my studio apt by myself in the burbs of pdx, I had not one, but TWO crazy neighbors that would scream and yell terrible things all throughout the day and I could hear it in my apt. One day I actually had to call the police on one of them because I could hear them throwing things in their apt and it sounded like there was someone else in the apt with them so I was worried. He got arrested and then sometime later moved out. That was scary.
  • When I was in college I was driving to one of my midterm exams and I got pulled over on the interstate going 3 over the speed limit while literally everyone else was just blowing past me. I got a ticket and the guy giving the ticket was so slow. Then I got stuck in traffic that I would have missed if I hadn't gotten help up with the ticket. By the time I finally made it to campus, found a place to park and ran to the right building the exam was over. It was some massive chunk of my grade and even with straight As the rest of the semester I couldn't make a high enough grade for it to count toward my degree. So I had to retake the class. I mean this was kind of my fault because I was technically speeding but 3 over in a 75 come on!

  • @konoha I think we had the same neighbors. It was a young couple in my case. They also had band practice on Tuesday and would go to after midnight. They threatened me for touching their mail. Like banging on my door, threatening to kick my a$$ (It was in my box, I put it in theirs) - after that I just wrote “return to sender” on any of their mail in my box. I came home one day and the cops were there. I just backed right back out. I came home later and he’s sitting on the front step strumming his guitar and yelling “no woman no cry”
then they moved out at midnight by throwing their furniture / boxes down the stairs.
@tyrion_ omg. Just... chilling down the road hanging out?!
@NamelessAria I had my car break down on the way. The exam was just turning in a term paper, which I had written. It took my grade from an A to a D. At least I didn’t have to redo it. Ugh

  • Almost had a Friday the 13th moment of T-boning someone!

I was trying to turn left out of a side street onto a road with 3 lanes each way and a median. A pickup truck in the right lane is going to turn right onto my street so as soon as it's clear I start going and POOF all of a sudden a sedan is driving in the middle lane passing this truck that slowed down to turn. The car must have been just at the right angle that it was always blocked by the truck.

Phew. And considering how exhausted I've been feeling all day I had some good reflexes!

  • @ottergirl81 *sending you positive vibes* for your bad luck condo to sell lol.
  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin oh wow that sounds nuts!! i'm glad they eventually moved out but that sounds like such a headache to deal with. I wanted to complain to my apartment complex about the one neighbor but I was scared he would somehow find out or assume it was me and retaliate. I dunno, living alone can be unnerving sometimes!

@inthewoods23 oh no! i'm glad you are safe and didn't get into a wreck! I despise turning left onto big roads like that, I will go out of my way to find a light if possible haha. good thing you had quick reflexes!

@ottergirl81 fx that you can sell your condo soon!!
