    Rants/Raves: rants - pregsomnia sucks

    Questions: nothing right now

GTKY: What bad habits of other people drive you crazy? So many things......people who have no concept of personal space - if I can feel you breathe on me, youre too effing close! Take at least 2 steps back; people who park in the parent & child spaces when they have no children, just a fancy car or theyre lazy af; the sound of people biting their nails. I could go on for days, everything is pissing me off these days!

Upcoming Appointments:  next week.  This will be the first appt. in a long while so looking forward to it.

How are you feeling?:  I've been having a lot of side aches lately, but otherwise just fine.

Rants/Raves: I want summer to be over! It is still getting into the high 90's here!

Questions: Is anyone else planning on co-sleeping with 2nd child?  What's your plan for it?

GTKY: What bad habits of other people drive you crazy?
@leprechaunlady I can so relate to many of the things you said.  I would say my biggest are people chewing with their mouths open and not using blinkers when driving.

@ponyoisfun im declaring it winter here now, it was 7 degrees here this morning when i got in the car! google tells me that is 45 for you guys.

we had a co-sleeper cot which attached to the bed and had a drop down side for dd and we've ordered a second one now for the twins so dd was beside us but not in our actual bed.

edited - cause i wasnt finished.

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: green

Baby is the size of a(n): bunch of grapes

Upcoming Appointments: midwife today, also chiropractor later tonight

How are you feeling?: feeling good, just hip pain when I'm sleeping, we switched out our mattress but still no good

Rants/Raves: cool weather is officially here, sleeping with the window open is now amazing nice and fresh ahaha. DD's new bed is set up but we're waiting on the mattress to be delivered so she's really excited!

    Questions:  no questions!

GTKY: What bad habits of other people drive you crazy? I hate when people sneeze twice in a row... it drives me insane, like blow your nose that's why you're sneezing

@ponyoisfun we will be room sharing for sure, I put the bassinet right up beside my bed and then after the crib is just right beside me as well. I was never able to actually fall asleep comfortably with DD in the bed I was always too paranoid.

@leprechaunlady yes! the mornings are so cold I love it, 10 degrees here in the morning as well :)
  • @leprechaunlady lol, that is the temperature here in February.  Ok, sort of an exaggeration, but we only get a handful of very cold days and it is also always sunny here (New Mexico).

@c1kc1kpol1cn1k I am so paranoid too...I am trying to think of other options this time around because it was so stressful to have my dd sleep in the bed. Nothing ever happened it was just the thought that kept me awake at night.  I guess I am just hoping this baby will be strong and healthy so I don't worry about them being a few feet away.  DD had this thing where she would stop breathing (more than the normal).  It was just so stressful so I kept her right by me. Any other advice appreciated.

  • @ponyoisfun that sounds really stressful, have you thought of that baby monitor bracelet thing that attaches to their leg and you’re notified immediately if anything happens like breathing stops? I found having DD in the bassinet right beside my face I could still here every bit of movement. I’ve also seen a friend do what @leprechaunlady did and put the co sleeper crib right beside you with the drop down side so that your bed is just an extension

Baby is the size of a(n): coconut

    Upcoming Appointments: September 17th

How are you feeling?:  good, except we went camping this past weekend and i overdid it setting up camp/the camper and thought for sure on Saturday my vagina was broken! 😂  Thankfully, whatever I pulled or was sore is doing much better today and I can lift my legs to put on clothes.

Rants/Raves: pregnancy poops, man.  They're awful.

    Questions: none

GTKY: What bad habits of other people drive you crazy?

    Slow drivers or indecisiveness.  😬
  • Est Due Date/Weeks + Days: Jan 1st, 24 weeks

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: blue

Baby is the size of a(n): cantaloupe

Upcoming Appointments: OB on the 18th

How are you feeling?: bloated and rib pain is awful. Again, especially because I can't stop sneezing.

Rants/Raves: my mom made me 20 bibs. She was supposed to help just by sewing and ended up cutting all my material leaving no leftovers like I had planned to have. Only after did she ask me how many I wanted. Why would I want TWENTY bibs?!? I'm thankful because they're cute, but also so look aggravated!

GTKY: What bad habits of other people drive you crazy?
Slow talkers. Get to the point and no need to sing every word. Also, if you want something just ask. Don't pretend like you just wanted to talk and have nothing to say.

The worst is when people chime into private conversations to give advice but actually have no idea what the conversation is actually about. (Example: DH asked me "which oil has the higher smoke point; avocado or olive oil?". Then a stranger pops in to say : "I'm a trainer and avocado oil is better if you're trying to lose weight") like mind ya business!

  • Est Due Date/Weeks + Days: Jan 1/24 weeks

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green:Green!

Baby is the size of a(n):Cantaloupe (my mind is blown, I always thought cantaloupe was spelled "cantalope")

Upcoming Appointments:just had a check up last week, so next appointment is in 3 weeks

How are you feeling?:pretty good! just started with the heartburn, also loving all the movement I can feel regularly now from lil babe

Rants/Raves: DH ate the last of the ice cream last night and yea, it caused a huge blow out.   :s

    Questions: none right now

GTKY: What bad habits of other people drive you crazy? people who dont say "thank you" when you hold the door and "excuse me" when trying to get by.  Use your words people!
  • @c1kc1kpol1cn1k I appreciate the tips.  I'm definitely going to consider some other options this time around.
@mama_stef Lol about the bibs.  We barely used them, but people kept giving them to us!  For us when we started solids it was super hot out so dd wasn't in clothes.  It was much easier just to wash her after meals than to fight to keep a bib on.

  • Est Due Date/Weeks + Days: Jan 8, 23 weeks

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: pink

Baby is the size of a(n): grapefruit

    Upcoming Appointments: nothing this week

How are you feeling?: I just want to sleep! Other than that pretty good and I'm feeling baby girl move more and more, despite our anterior placenta so that's good.

Rants/Raves: On top of just not sleeping in general, right now one of our dogs has kennel cough (thanks hubs for waiting til the last minute to find a dog sitter last weekend so she had to go to the kennel as a last resort) and the older one had the runs last night (no idea why... He's better now.. he's just 13 and falling apart). I'm running on about 3 hours of sleep right now.

    Questions: none at the moment

GTKY: What bad habits of other people drive you crazy? So many things... the first one that came to mind though is people who don't use blinkers and/or turn their headlights on when it's raining.

Baby is the size of a(n): Papaya, I think

Upcoming Appointments: Appt. with midwife on October 3

How are you feeling?:  I'm still recovering from my allergies when we went camping over Labor Day weekend...the sneezing never ends!

Rants/Raves: I finally met with my new provider yesterday after my previous services announced they were closing.  The new place is great and didn't make me feel like they were judging me for my weight like my previous provider did, or at least the first midwife I saw.

    Questions: None today

GTKY: What bad habits of other people drive you crazy? Slow drivers, people who don't use their turn signals, people who don't call ahead to change or cancel their appointments, the list goes on...lol!
