Hello,
I am 27 years old, mother of 2, trying for my third. My second born is about to be 5 and I was on birth control pills for about 3 years following.
I stopped my birth control about a year and was using pullout method until my fiance and I were both ready to try again, about 4 months ago.
I've been having unprotected sex since and have not gotten pregnant. My fiance is only 37 and has 2 kids as well.
Just wanting feedback from others if birth control hindered how quickly they got pregnant, I worry because I don't understand why I'm now having issues when I never did before.
I know they say to wait a year before worrying which is why I feel silly - I am just ready for a baby and am scared my body won't ever do it again.
Thoughts? Personal experiences?
Re: TTC and feeling hopeless - then feeling silly..
This board operates a bit differently than some of the other boards on The Bump. First of all, we generally discourage one-off posts. Take a few minutes and read through the pinned posts at the top of the board, it will give you some guidance as to how we operate.
Once you look through that, you can go ahead and introduce yourself in the weekly Newbie thread. Also, my best advice here is to just start lurking! Read through our daily threads and questions threads, you'll see that you're not alone.
Good luck!

@LishaT92 Pretty much what PP said. Are you tracking your cycle, temping, and seeing when your fertile window is? It could take a healthy couple up to a year to conceive so in the grand scheme of things 4 months is not that long at all.
