Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Friday 9/6

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. • Temping Questions ahead:

Lurking from TWW but definitely not pregnant this cycle, so I'll be back here in a day or so. I'm going to temp next cycle, and I had a couple of quick questions:

    1. Do you temp during your period or wait til the bleeding stops to start?

    2. If you wake up a zillion times to pee at night, at what point do you temp? Like, say my typical wake up for the day is 5am, but I wake up at 3am to pee, do I temp at 3 or wait til 5? What if I wake up at 4 to pee? Pee is a problem, folks lol.

  • @saladflambe
    1. I continuously temped so I did temp during my period, but that's not totally necessary to do.

    2. If 3am is the first time you wake up in the night, temp before you get up to pee. There are sites you can go to that can adjust the temperature you got at 3am to estimate what it would be if you had not woken up and temped at 5am instead. Or don't try the adjustment and leave it as an open circle in FF. Up to you.

@ziggymama06 - Awwww love weddings! Hope you have a great time!

    Month/Cycle: 13

    CD: 9

WAYDTGKU: On my third clomid/IUI cycle. The doctor upped my dose of Clomid, so we'll see if my follicles respond better then the last two cycles. I have my CD12 ultrasound and bloodwork on Monday.

R/R: I'm going to my first Red Sox game tomorrow and staying the night at a really fancy hotel in Boston (anniversary gift from the hubs). I was excited until my husband told me he might have to work (he's a lineman) and won't be able to go... We argued for like an hour last night and he ended up calling out sick today so that he can't get forced. If he worked today then they could force him to stay (they're not allowed to say no) so the only way to solve the issue was him calling out sick today. Might be the clomid-crazies talking, but I'm still annoyed that him skipping tomorrow to work was even an option in his mind.

    CS/Q: nope

  • Month/Cycle: 11/9 (AL)

WAYDTGKU: preseed, HIO/EOD, CM, OPK, PNV, Letrozole and next cycle we do the trigger and IUI

R/R: I'm tired! BUT - we have a great weekend coming up! We are going out tonight with some friends and tomorrow we are heading into Philly to celebrate our first anniversary!! I'm so looking forward to a weekend of time with MH, especially since our schedules are way overlapping all next week.

    CS/Q:

@inthewoods23 how many days are you off for?!

@feather_heather Ummmm... I would have acted the same exact way!! Like, WTF?! It never should have been an option, especially since this was something HE planned for both of you.  I hope you guys have a great time!

@ziggymama06 have an AMAZING time this weekend!!

@konoha I hope your first day back goes quickly!

  • @inthewoods23 how much time are you taking off after your FET?

@saladflambe 1. I typically don't temp while I have AF during the weekend so I dont have to wake up early. It's really personal preference though, but i dont think its necessary since i still have time to set a baseline after AF, before O.

    2. Not sure the "correct" way, but I try to always temp at or close to my same time even if I was up in the middle of the night before that, since my middle of the night isnt consistent or usual. It can make rockier temps, but I can still pinpoint O. I think some of it is trial and error though on what works for you.

@feather_heather I'm glad he worked it out so he didnt have to work, but I can see why you would be annoyed at him. Did he expect you to just go alone or also cancel your plans?

CS/Q:  AF still going strong, so no temping yet

@millpe - This has happened before and I've had to find someone to go to a show or concert with at the very last minute (like 2 hours before a show). So I think he expected me to find someone - like yes, I'd like to spend a romantic evening at a fancy hotel with my mother?
  • @inthewoods23 I knew that about your FET on Tuesday... ugh! Sorry!! I'd love to know what songs are on your playlist!

@millpe ehhhh you needed the morning off to work up your energy for all you have to do! ;)

  • @kpearse99 thanks!! We probably see them every 4-6 weeks. We either go there or they come here, but it seems like we’ve gone there for things most recently. We are going camping with the whole family in a couple weeks though, so that’ll be fun!
  • @bluetickgal Its been a slow start this afternoon too, but also feels needed. I did get another door stained so just waiting for it to dry enough for second coat and I will move on to polyurethane for all of them!! If I could even get just the bathroom door finished and installed this weekend it would be a success.
