@emeraldduchess that’s good it’s not all over, but YI itchiness doesn’t sound good either! I hope you don’t get it this cycle! I swear when I took Provera I got so many random issues...I kept looking them up and every single one was a possible side-effect. I’ve been lucky and haven’t really had anything with Prometrium. Don’t know if it’s because it’s more natural or what. I’m assuming my progesterone for after O will be suppositories, hope those aren’t too bad!
@mokay19@inthewoods23they said 2-4 weeks (so a nice long range 😂) and it’s been just over a week now.
@mokay19 hope you can decide what works best for you all! Sounds like you are leaning towards October, which I totally understand! Really hope that works out if this is not your cycle (but hopefully it is)!
@kpearse99 HP is way more exciting than Prometrium, so let’s go with that! ☺️ I like your go with the flow attitude, but I’ve got my fingers crossed AF doesn’t show!!
@ruby696 hope you can work out everything for early betas! My fingers are crossed so hard that this is it for you!!!
@nitnat007 Happy Birthday!! Sorry for the mixed feelings that came along with it! Mmm...birthday cake though!! Yum!!
@hanshotfirst77 that is wonderful news!! So excited for you!!
@NYTino24 glad your Saline went well! Hope you get good results from all your tests!
@inthewoods23 thanks! I wasn't sure if any cream might interfere with absorbing the progesterone. So far no itching...but I totally had a hotflash during the staff meeting. Yaaaaaay for your FET being so close!!!
Thanks for all your input yesterday... I sent a message to my clinic this morning saying that we want to get on the schedule for October stims! I also contacted the company that will be handling the loan to make sure that we get that started in time. It feels good to have decided for real. Still hoping to be a unicorn and not need it!
Diagnosis (if you've been): RPL, MFI, LPD, possible DOR
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): tww
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): waiting for my labs to come in. H has his repeat SA next week.
How are things going?: Things are going ok. I've been really busy lately and I've started doing yoga again and I feel like that's been helping me mentally.
Any questions?:
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a holiday, any holiday? A few years back, my mom rented a cabin in the woods and she and my stepdad, my grandma and all my siblings and their spouses and kids spent a few days there for our family Christmas, just being together and drinking and playing games. It was so much fun. Nowadays we hardly see each other.
@mokay19 That’s great that you have a plan moving forward. Of course hoping that you won’t need it!!
@splashmountain Hope you get your results back soon. I also find yoga helps me a lot mentally.. I try to do a little every day, even if it’s only 10-20 mins. That sounds like such a fun Christmas! Glad you have that memory to look back on.
Me: 35 DH: 35 TTC since 9/2018

Due Dec 2021 12/21- Baby girl born!
@bluetickgal Thanks. The saline sonogram went well and we are going to monitor ovulation. Not sure what else we will be doing until we get bloodwork results. My nurse scared me to today when she asked if I had gotten a rhogam shot because I had antibodies. I didn’t understand what that meant and thought not getting one last week caused it. It just turns out that the rhogam is still in my system and it’s not a bad thing. Whew!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
Thank you all for the encouragement & kindness. Jumping back in on a spotty WiFi signal, will be back for comments/tags.
Diagnosis (if you've been): RPL, Autoimmune mysteries (also AMA & DOR but I’m ignoring those)
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): Waiting for FF to confirm that I’ve just entered the TWW.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Started intralipids! Hoping that we actually get a positive and that this treatment is the magic bullet! So many 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 all around this cycle.
How are things going?: Much better! I took a month off here (besides lurking/love-titting) after an epic meltdown two failed cycles ago. You all welcomed my vent w open arms, which I appreciated immensely. I was doubting everything re: TTC & wondering if I should stop all the meds & supplements & just chill the f*** out. Well, I guess I meant it because I actually FORGOT to pack my BBT or OPKs or meds for a long work trip which overlapped FW. So we were self-benched last cycle. This cycle we’ve dipped back in with slightly less vigor, but still hoping for a miracle.
Any questions?: Nope. Just wanted to encourage everyone who has had recent or upcoming IUIs (I think this was a recent topic in the last couple of weeks of whether it’s worth it or not to do IUI?) We’ve done 2 with **TW: initially good results. End TW** They’re so inexpensive that it’s worth it IMHO. Ours cost $200 for actual insemination, and $100 for the sperm wash. We didn’t need meds so that was the full price at our RE. I know each doc can be different though...
Also, for those with RPL, you may really want to consider intralipids: the dose I’m getting is only $155 including the fees for the nurse/clinic. The nurse doing my infusions said he sees lots of my RE’s patients here if they’re undergoing IUI/IVF, and he’d guess it’s about a 90% success rate with this treatment! (They come back for repeat treatment if they get a positive, so I guess he’s basing success off of return patients.) He said she’s the only RE that sends patients to do this treatment. Just another something to consider/research...
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a holiday, any holiday? Like many of you, I love the big ones with family (minus the family drama!). Labor Day was awesome—relaxed & chilled at the beach with all my siblings & their families.
ETA: Clarifications & a note that I definitely use “inexpensive” relatively! IUI & Intralipids are both 10% of the cost of IVF & IVIG where I live. So, only inexpensive compared to those!
@shoogapoof Great luck tomorrow at your first scan! So exciting! I’m feeling hopeful for you too❤️
@emeraldduchess I don’t have any input on the progesterone, just wanted to say I’m sorry you’re not feeling too optimistic. It’s tough when that happens.
@jennifer_louise Aaaww thanks for thinking of me! There are several of you that are always on my mind too, always hoping the best for you guys. (@dpchickens Here’s looking at you, kid!😉)
@misshelen Thanks for asking. Things have been both very busy at work and good at home. Some financial stress—which most of us here can relate to. Re: TTC, I've taken some time to “zen out” & get centered again after adventuring into a negative place I’m not used to. As for you, it’s great to hear that your initial ultrasound went so well! Sorry the waiting is getting to you. Hang in there!
@bluetickgal FX that your karyotyping results arrive soon and with super boring results!
@mokay19 Thanks! You have a great tip to always ask “Is that test diagnostic”? I’m going to use that, thank you for sharing.
@inthewoods23 You are SO CLOSE! I was thinking of you yesterday like, “It seems like when Woods first said they would be moving on to IVF that it was so far away.” Now it’s nail biting time!!!😬🙏🏽🤞🏽
@hanshotfirst WOWwowWOW!!! So exciting! Everything crossed for you!❤️🤞🏽
@kpearse99 So glad to hear you’re doing better this week. That was quite the rollercoaster last week. Hugs to you!
@ruby696 Eeeeeek!! Praying that your betas look wonderful this week! 🙏🏽♥️🙏🏽♥️🙏🏽
@nitnat007 Thank you for your kind words. And HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY!!! We know what you mean about time— but just remember that at least half of what we’re told about age & TTC is outdated anyway. Chinese Medicine takes a beautiful approach, saying we just need to get our bodies in balance—no matter our age.
Mobile bumping is flipping out, will continue w tags in a bit.
(Also just following the lead because I can't keep up with anything on this board this week)

@keikilove Glad you took the time you needed to get yourself centered again. I’ve been doing a lot of reading about and practicing mind-body strategies to help me through this roller coaster. Sorry to hear finances are stressing you out. It’s hard enough dealing with IF without having to worry about all the treatment costs. Hoping the Intralipids is the key for you.. keeping everything crossed!
@emeraldduchess Yes we always appreciate that you somehow keep track of everyone’s appointments
@inthewoods23 Yay for your first PIO shot! You got this!

@shoogapoff Good luck today! Update us when you can!
@inthewoods23 You are making me feel so much better about PIO. I've heard some horror stories so I've kind of been freaking out about having to do them next month, but hopefully my experience is similar to yours!
I'm approximately 100 years late to this thread this week. Going to try to tag everyone and sorry in advance if I miss someone.
@keikilove hi! glad to see you again! You're right, this thread is popping now which is both good and bad. I can't believe it's not even the end of the week yet and there are already like 60 replies! I hope this treatment plan works I'm glad taking some time away was helpful
@shoogapoff how'd your scan go today? Hope everything looks great! I'm glad you're feeling optimistic - I hope clomid does it for you! As far as symptoms, I just remember having headaches and being blah while taking clomid, but don't remember that persisting more than a couple days after I was done.
@emeraldduchess ah the good ol TWW rollercoaster. I hope the progesterone symptoms don't get too bad for you.
@jennifer_louise I'm sorry for the breakdown It's insane how much everything costs - as if the general stress of IF weren't enough. We don't have remotely enough for IVF and it stresses me out all the time. Hopefully neither of us get to that point but who knows? Did you get any of your results back yet?!
@misshelen86 yay for a (hopefully) normal US! Did you get the official results yet? I feel you on the waiting. Hopefully time flies and you're able to get an appt ASAP! I'm sorry for all the triggers. Definitely with you
@bluetickgal I hope your cycle starts soon! Busy weekends that get your mind off TTC are the best!
@mokay19 I hope yoou and YH are able to come to an agreement on when to move forward with IVF. I'm with you on being impatient. I would definitely start in October if it's possible, but I hope you're a unicorn too and won't need it!
@inthewoods23 your FET is so soon and I'm so excited to hear how it goes! I'm glad YH is able to take the day off to hang out afterwards! I loled at all the ETA because that's very me I'm glad your first PIO shot wasn't terrible.
@hanshotfirst77 stupid waiting! I'm so happy to hear your results - that's amazing!!!
@kpearse99 I'm glad you're able to relax some after last week's craziness.
@nitnat007 less than a month till your appt, WOO! I'm glad you had a good birthday with CAKE but the reminder of getting older with no baby is tough. You are not alone! Happy belated birthday, and I'm hopeful this will be your best year yet!
@NYTino24 I'm glad your sono went well! hope you get your other results back quickly. I'm sorry for the breakdowns
@splashmountain I hope you get your results back ASAP! That cabin sounds awesome, I'm sorry you guys don't see each other as much now.
@hanshotfirst77 you might like my UO in that thread then 😄 maybe I'm much more of a go with the flow kind of gal, cuz it's not like we have a choice! So no point in complaining about it.
I like to look on the bright side! I get excited each and every day when it's time for injections because 1, that's one less injection to do and 2, it gets me closer to my goal!

@inthewoods23 That is a great outlook to have on it! I'll admit IVF injections were way scarier in my mind than in reality. And I felt similar during stims , it's all hopefully bringing us one step closer
@hanshotfirst77 right like I was totally thinking the needles were super fat and would pinch like a bitch, but you barely feel them go in!
ETA: I'm really failing at texting today. Stupid mobile.

How are things going?: seems like I'm getting hit with pregnancy/baby related things everywhere I look and am having a hard time with it. I'm feeling very sorry for myself these days. One of many reasons I haven't really been jumping in here or the dailies for the past week or so.
Any questions?: no
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a holiday, any holiday? Relaxing! If only that were the case. Usually we have to go to a crazy family party. If I had a choice, I would take the day to get things done around the house and hang out with DH. The holidays are stressful for my introverted self.
@b_1029 you're 100% to feel like that, so if that's how you're feeling then take the time for yourself and allow yourself to feel that way. Just don't get stuck in that place, which I know you won't! sending you love and hugs!!

@b_1029 Sorry you’re struggling right now, friend. It’s so hard when you’re surrounded by pregnancy/babies and can’t seem to get away from it. You are not alone Sending you creepy internet hugs! PS. @b_1029 I'm so sorry friend. I know this feeling well myself. It can be so so hard sometimes. It can feel like it's everywhere and there is no escape from it. Sending you big hugs
@b_1029 I'm sorry that you're feeling like you can't escape the baby/pregnancy stuff around you. It can be exhausting and draining to keep moving forward but I hope that you get a little escape and can do so! We're all here for you!
Thanks, ladies for the encouragement about my appointment! I think it went well...He said 1 large and 2 medium follicles on the left; 2 medium on the right. My lining is "a little thin" so he drew labs and they are going to call me this afternoon regarding next steps. That's the extent of what I know.
@b_1029 I hear you girl. Hope you find something to pick you up and get you out of this funk but don't be afraid to give yourself the time you need to sulk ❤️ maybe a playlist of upbeat songs will do 🙂

Hehe, y'all are making me blush. I have a good memory, but I also double check to see if anyone has an appointment. Thursdays seem to be a busy day at the RE for everyone! Also...
@b_1029 hugs to you, friend. It definitely seems like we get hit with pg announcements and all baby related things at once. *TW*
There were a few moms at school drop-off today with baby bumps that were not visible back in June. I was definitely caught off-guard but not upset. Yay me!
@hanshotfirst77 ok note, doing the injection ain't bad, but now I totally understand what they say about feeling like you have knots in your back because sometimes the oil doesn't dissipate fast. Feels achy to the touch. We'll see how I feel in a few days 😬

Lots of hugs @b_1029 the world seems like a harsh place while struggling with IF. We're here with you, girl! I hope your TI cycle is a success and you can go join all our friends in May!
@shoogapoff that seems good to me too! I hope that one large follie is a good one!
Okay, they just called me. They said my lining is pretty thin, so they're giving me the option to cancel this cycle. Our they can start me on estrogen, trigger tonight, and do IUI Saturday.... what should I do?!!! I called MH and he said whatever I think....I hate cancelling but don't want to waste the money etc if it probably won't work.
@shoogapoof I’m really sorry about the thin lining. You’re faced with a tough choice. Is there any chance that they can push the IUI out any further to give your lining more time to thicken on the estrogen? If so, I’d go for it. If money is super tight or the timeline is too short for much growth I’d skip it. Maybe don’t cancel it until they check your lining again on Saturday? Then you’ll have a better idea of your chance at success. Also, ask yourself if you will regret skipping it. That would be my deciding factor. Living with regret is the worst for me.
@keikilove Well, I'm not sure if I'm making the right decision, but this is what I decided: They said that I can take estrogen to try to thicken my lining, even if I don't do IUI this cycle. So I'm taking estrogen starting today, triggering tonight, and just doing TI this cycle. So we'll save the cost of the IUI/sperm wash this cycle, and try IUI with letrozole next cycle. I'm sad and not sure if I'm doing the right thing, but it feels like at least we're still trying something.
Re: IF Testing & Treatment w/o 9.2
@emeraldduchess that’s good it’s not all over, but YI itchiness doesn’t sound good either! I hope you don’t get it this cycle! I swear when I took Provera I got so many random issues...I kept looking them up and every single one was a possible side-effect. I’ve been lucky and haven’t really had anything with Prometrium. Don’t know if it’s because it’s more natural or what. I’m assuming my progesterone for after O will be suppositories, hope those aren’t too bad!
@shoogapoff @jennifer_louise @misshelen86thanks so much ladies!
@mokay19 @inthewoods23they said 2-4 weeks (so a nice long range 😂) and it’s been just over a week now.
@mokay19 hope you can decide what works best for you all! Sounds like you are leaning towards October, which I totally understand! Really hope that works out if this is not your cycle (but hopefully it is)!
@inthewoods23 7 days...that is so dang exciting!! 😁
@nitnat007 happy birthday!

@splashmountain Hope you get your results back soon. I also find yoga helps me a lot mentally.. I try to do a little every day, even if it’s only 10-20 mins. That sounds like such a fun Christmas! Glad you have that memory to look back on.

And I'd also like to take a minute to appreciate @emeraldduchess who somehow always remembers everybody's important appts throughout the week
@emeraldduchess do you keep notes? or do you just have that stellar of a memory?!? if so, send some my way!

@keikilove hi! glad to see you again! You're right, this thread is popping now which is both good and bad. I can't believe it's not even the end of the week yet and there are already like 60 replies! I hope this treatment plan works I'm glad taking some time away was helpful
@BusinessWife it's good to "see" you, too
@shoogapoff how'd your scan go today?
I like to look on the bright side! I get excited each and every day when it's time for injections because 1, that's one less injection to do and 2, it gets me closer to my goal!

How are things going?: seems like I'm getting hit with pregnancy/baby related things everywhere I look and am having a hard time with it. I'm feeling very sorry for myself these days. One of many reasons I haven't really been jumping in here or the dailies for the past week or so.
