Trying to Get Pregnant

IF Testing & Treatment w/o 9.2

This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

Diagnosis (if you've been):

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA):

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?):

How are things going?:

Any questions?:

GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a holiday, any holiday?

Thanks lady!❤️ @BusinessWife I know what you mean. I hope you’re not benched too much longer? I’m intending to get back active this week. We will see what Life says, haha.
  • @keikilove @BusinessWife don't feel bad, this is a crazy-busy thread!

@shoogapoff I'm glad the Clomid hadn't had too many side effects. FX for you!!
  • @jennifer_louise I was overwhelmed by the amount of blood they took at my first RE appointment. The first round for me included blood typing and STDs. Not sure if AMH is part of the first panel of tests or the CD3 panel. I hope you'll be able to get some coverage from your insurance for treatments! Do you know if your testing is covered? I'm asking because without insurance my hycosy scan would have cost me $4600! DH and I are incredibly lucky, our insurance covers more IF treatments than most. Our state requires insurance companies to cover a good amount of IF testing and treatment. It makes me so angry that so few states have that law.
  • @emeraldduchess so much rage for states that don't! (well, mostly for those women and men who desperately need the coverage). Gah. She didn't need the SMH draw because that was ordered by my OB. Some of the testing was covered although not all. I'm sure the insurance companies make it confusing on purpose, but you best believe I'll be the annoying lady calling back until I understand everything. BTW I love your preferred way to spend holidays - I definitely have some introverted tendencies as well.

@misshelen86 the waiting game is the worst. I am so sorry you're feeling helpless - but I sincerely hope you'll hear back this week and get that consult. Major hugs in the meantime, the trigger struggle is so real. Life with IF is so hard to navigate.
  • @emeraldduchess  I also get pretty anxious at social gatherings.. I prefer to just chill at home. I’m sorry you’re not feeling very optimistic this cycle.. it sure is hard to balance wanting to be optimistic with not getting your hopes up. I’m keeping FX this is your month! Hope that the side effects aren’t too bad this month.

@jennifer_louise I hope you’re able to get some help from your insurance. The financial side of things definitely seems overwhelming. It’s so unfair that dealing with IF is so expensive. So glad you have a plan in place though!
    Me: 35 DH: 35

  • @misshelen86 I'm so sorry you feel stuck. So many hugs to you, friend. I hope you get in to see the RE soon! <3

  • @bluetickgal it's not all-over itchiness. Basically feels like I have a yeast infection (which I rarely get). I'm willing to bet I have a hot flash either while talking to my boss or in front of my students. :|
I'm so glad you had a busy weekend with lots to talk your mind off TTC!
  • @bluetickgal FX your karotyping comes back soon with great results! And hopefully your cycle starts soon so you can get on with your SHG.

@misshelen86 So glad your ultrasound seemed to look good! This process *is* so draining. FX your appointment happens soon and you get a solid plan in place. That helped me feel better.

@jennifer_louise The financial side of this is such insult added to injury. I had a minor breakdown this week for similar reasons to you. Hugs.
  • @emeraldduchess I'm so sorry you're not feeling good about this cycle, and that TTC pressure took a toll on your HIO efforts. Sex is so different, at least for me and MH, since starting this process. Its hard to not let those worries creep in.
  • @inthewoods23 so excited for you! only 7 days!! wowza!
@hanshotfirst77 good luck with the report results!  Are they supposed to call you today??
  • @mokay19 Yes my RE is supposed to call with the final update today ahh!

  • Ooh all the FX for you @hanshotfirst77! Can't wait to hear your update ❤️

@inthewoods23 I seriously cannot believe your FET is a week away!! I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for you 😂 I sincerely hope to add you to the list of people to stalk in May!!

@mokay19 I'm sending you all the vibes that your TI cycle works and then you can just go ahead and send that $20k you saved on to me 😂. Like some kinda TTGP pyramid scheme.

@bluetickgal bring on CD1 for you lady! I have the same desire to get the show on the road. Hope all your results come back great!

@emeraldduchess Omg the pressure got to us this cycle too. I mean, we got it done but I'm getting tired of bad sex! Ughhhhh

  • @jennifer_louise haha like we should just have a pot of money for all our IF needs?

@kpearse99 I AGREE that I've waited long enough... I'm going to tell that to DH.  I made that PowerPoint to convince him for us to move onto IVF at all so maybe I need to make a PowerPoint about why we shouldn't wait until November....
  • @mokay19 OMG please make another PowerPoint!!  :D You have to keep up with traditions at this point!

@ruby696 oh my goodness I'm so anxious for you!!!!  And jury duty - yuck!!!

  • @mokay19 They won't give me results until Friday, so they can confirm there is a pregnancy and that it's viable.  I'm really busy this week, so I'm hoping it goes by fast.

@hanshotfirst77 I think I want to get the news Friday afternoon, so I don't have to stress about another CP (if it's positive). Holding out for now.
  • @ruby696 Yeah I totally get that reasoning. Last few times for me I completely stopped early testing and wait for day of beta.

@nitnat007 I'm sorry your birthday had so many mixed feelings. But yay for cake! My birthday is coming up soon and I know I have a lot of mixed emotions about it as well. Fx this year will bring great things <3
