Re: TTGP Check-In 8/29

  • What's going on this week? 1st week of the semester, so it's been busy for me

How far along are you? 7+2

    Upcoming appointments? Not till 9/11

Cravings/Symptoms? Nausea is kicking in, but no getting sick yet. I don't know if I would feel better if I was getting sick.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? Busy couple days of multiple fantasy football drafts for me. Ready to win these!

    Questions? Nope

  • What's going on this week? It’s been busy. DH is a teacher and school started this week.

How far along are you? 7+5

Upcoming appointments? 9/13 for second ultrasound.

Cravings/Symptoms? I feel pretty terrible most of the time. Haven’t thrown up now, but kind of wish I’d just get that over with.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? Work has been crazy. I’m already at 40 hours this week. I chose to work for a government for the good hours. I hate when I have to work late, too, because I miss my kiddo. Yesterday, I got home at his bedtime.

    Questions? Nope

  • What's going on this week? Also crazy busy! Second week of teacher work days, setting up classroom, and had open house last night. I feel so behind at school and it’s keeping me up at night. 😩

How far along are you? 7w4d

Upcoming appointments? Prenatal appointment today, then nothing until September 20.

Cravings/Symptoms? Lots going on. Bloat, constant nausea, decreased appetite, weird cravings (all I wanted for lunch yesterday was French fries and laffy taffy), insomnia, sore/tender boobs, and peeing all the time.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? We got our summary of the ultrasound yesterday! Baby’s yolk sac was seen, and the heart rate was 142 bpm! So great news on that front! I can’t wait to hear the heart again!

Questions? Does anyone else have a Doppler? My sister passed one onto me, and I’m trying to decide if it’s a good idea or not.
  • @ejoseph16 I never got a Doppler last time, but I know a lot of women who did. I would caution you that you probably won’t find the heart beat this early. I only heard the heart beat with a Doppler at OB appointments if we didn’t do an ultrasound.

  • @ejoseph16 I hope everything goes well at your prenatal appointment today!
@mercury94 Wow work sounds rough right now. I hope that things slow down for you soon.
@Kathryn0903 I've never played fantasy football, I hope you win!

What's going on this week? It's been kind of a boring week. I did have my first coaching session for voice over work and it went really really well.

How far along are you? 7w + 5d

Upcoming appointments? First prenatal appointment on 9/12

Cravings/Symptoms? All food has kind of felt yuck to me but I've been making myself eat anyways.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm feeling a bit congested today which hasn't been fun. I'm also supposed to go to the beach with the in-laws next week and I've been looking forward to it so much but I'm worried hurricane Dorian is going to mess it up. :(

    Questions? None right now
  • @mercury94 It's SO hard when work takes us away from the kiddos.  I always feel so guilty!  I hope things settle down soon!

@ejoseph16 LOL at french fries and Laffy Taffy!  Yay for good news from your u/s!  I never got a doppler last time, but I've been thinking about it this time.  Although I second what @mercury94 said about it being too early now.  It will just give you anxiety.  It can also be hard to find when they're really small and moving all around in there all the time.

  • @shamrocandroll Stay here as long as you want. May 3 is close enough to April anyway. Sorry about the shingles. That is no fun. Also, YH’s work is stupid. I hope he files workers’ comp for the doctor visit.

  • @mercury94 Thanks!  I will most likely move into May when they do make it.  But I miss you ladies, so I'll come check in with my TTGP grad friends here too.  :)  And yes, if they don't pay for his doctor's visit, I will 100% be THAT wife who calls his employer and rips them a new one, haha!

  • @shamrocandroll I’m so glad you joined us!!! I struggled in a big way with my AL brain and anxiety, but something just told me this one is right, and once I saw the test line darker than control I stopped POAS! I agree with both you and @mercury94 to wait. My sister went through 5 MC’s before her 3 Boys, so she got a Doppler to hear the heartbeat whenever she wanted. She’s not even giving it to me until I’m 11 weeks, she said that’s when she could first hear it on the Doppler. She gets me. Lol.
