WAYDTGKU: FET in 12 days

R/R: I updated in the IF thread yesterday, but my monitoring appt yesterday went well! Estrogen is looking good, my lining is hovering around 8mm or slightly less. And the nurse said they're seeing a trilaminar lining which shows up as 3 lines on the US. My research shows that a trilaminar lining has higher pregnancy rates, so I guess I'm doing a good job of making my ute extra homey for the embryo!

In other news, I have an alterations appointment for my bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding in October. The store I bought the dress from ordered the wrong size. I specifically requested a size 12 as that was the largest size needed based on my measurements. I distinctly remember being told I could go with a 10 or a 12 as for 1 measurement I was either a half inch too large for the 10, or an inch under the size 12. I wanted the 12 to guarantee I could fit into it. Somehow I ended up with a 10 and now the zipper in the back doesn't close (the under the bust or waist must have been the "half inch too large" measurement). So not only do I need the length hemmed, now I need to spend more money to let it out so I can actually zip the damn thing up. At the time when I picked it up it was early July and the weather was 90+ degrees and super humid so we all just thought I was retaining water. NOPE. Oh well.

WAYDTGKU: Prenatal vitamins, Fertility Friend, temping, OPKs, observing CM, progesterone post-O

R/R: Pretty sure I will be able to finish setting up my classroom today which makes me happy. I'll be able to relax over the weekend! I found a Queen Elizabeth II action figure online and I'm really tempted to get it for my desk at school.

CS/Q: Both OPKs were blazing positive yesterday, so O might not have happened just yet. We'll see what tomorrow's temp says.

@inthewoods23 that's ridiculous about the sizing of your bridesmaid dress. I'm side-eyeing the shop for messing up the sizing. I had a similar experience in high school. The school tradition was wearing white dresses instead of the cap and gown. A local bridal shop handled all the measurements and orders and we ALL ended up with dresses that were too big and/or too long. Pretty shady.

@emeraldduchess right? Like wtf. DH wanted me to call the shop but these dresses are always non-refundable or returnable so what good would come out of calling them and saying they ordered the wrong size? I figure they wrote 10 down instead of 12 so to them they ordered correctly and wouldn't do anything to help me now that I'm paying for additional alterations.

WAYDTGKU: Benched...SHG next cycle and will restart Letrozole the next cycle & add in progesterone.

R/R: Nothing too exciting for me, just waiting for the weekend!! We were able to walk the pups last night, and plan on doing our big walk tonight...so I’m definitely looking forward to that! Just gotta survive the day!

CS/Q: None.

@inthewoods23 so glad your appt. yesterday went well! You are getting so close, and I’m so excited everything is looking good!! That is super frustrating about the dress! I had something similar happen with my bridesmaid dress for my brother’s wedding...except I was in between sizes and was a dummy and went with the smaller size as motivation to lose weight! I did not lose the weight and my mom had to work her sewing magic and move the zipper...but I couldn’t breathe that whole night I’m pretty sure! That stinks you have to spend more money to get it fixed because of their mistake though!! Hopefully it doesn’t cost too much and it fits you perfectly afterwards!

@emeraldduchess that’s exciting you should have your classroom finished today and not have to think about it over the weekend! I say go for the action figure! ☺️ That reminds me, I’m going to start the first Tudor Queens book after I finish the book I’m reading (most likely this weekend). I’m interested to see if I will enjoy historical fiction! MH has gotten me into fantasy/sci-fi, which I never would have thought I would enjoy...so I’m interested to broaden my horizons even more!

@tyrion_ yay for O! Haha, yes that’s totally normal!! I’m all for doing/saying whatever it takes!! Hopefully it’s the most perfect egg and is ready to be fertilized!!!

@inthewoods23 ugh that’s so frustrating about the sizing! Hopefully they’re able to let it out ok. This reminds me that I should probably try on my bridesmaid dress (that I got 2 sizes too big- I hope- because I thought I’d be 6 months pregnant at the wedding)

R/R: I’m just waiting/hoping for some O pain soon! On the last cycle, it felt like my left ovary was bursting. I was low key relieved it was still there on the US the other day 😂

It’s my last day of work for the week! Work has been super frustrating lately so I’m pretty excited!

@b_1029 haha, we do! Yes, I walk with a friend at work during breaks too, and it’s been so nice! I had pain like that several cycles ago, I convinced myself it had to have been a cyst it was such intense pain! Glad your ovary is still there! 😂 Hope your day goes by quickly and frustration free so you can move on to the long-weekend!!

@inthewoods23 - great news about the appt/estrogen/lining! That is so annoying about your dress. They should give you a refund when they blatantly get it wrong! Maybe it's worth at least asking?

WAYDTGKU: This month just CM, prenatals, shatavari, evening primrose oil, acupuncture. Dr's appt September 6 so just chilling out a bit till then.

R/R: TMI (not that there's really such a thing here)...At least some CM has shown up the past couple of days but seems a bit thinner than EW...but I'm glad to see something happening at least. Other than that excited for a 3.5 day weekend, leaving work early tomorrow to head down to RI for Labor Day!

CS/Q: nope!

R/R: After having my mope day on CD1, I am happy to report that I am in a much better place! The sun is shining today for the first time in a few days. I had a lovely 2 nights at work.. it’s been a while since I’ve had such smooth shifts. I’m off to bed for a few hours then I have an acupuncture appointment later this afternoon. Unfortunately there are people coming to do yard work today, so my sleep may be interrupted.

R/R: I'm pretty sure O was yesterday, saw a nice temp spike this am. I'm going to hang out here for a few until I (hopefully) get CHs. MH was SUPER excited FW is done and Drill Sergeant MVT is gone for the month haha.

I woke up with energy today, which was really nice, hoping to get a few things done around the house after work tonight. I also woke up with zero work emails, which I didn't realize until I got into the office and turned my laptop on to find 12 new emails I think my password expired and caused havoc. It was a bit of a scramble to get everything addressed, but I think I'm in decent shape.

@inthewoods23 I would be so pissed about the dress size. That is unacceptable! The shop needs to order you the correct size! It's harder to take a dress out than in, so this is ridiculous! (Also, still totally hyped for your FET!!)

Morning ladies!! Happy Thursday/Friday for those of us that are off tomorrow!

Month/Cycle: 11/9 (AL)

CD: 25

WAYDTGKU: Preseed, EOD-ish, CM, PNV, Letrozole and next cycle trigger and IUI!

R/R: It's been almost a week and DH is finally feeling better! Back to EOD - woot woot!

So happy to have a 4 day weekend coming up! I think I'm going to finally use my gift card for a massage tomorrow (I've been sitting on it for almost 2 years!). I've been having some tension headaches lately so I think it will be good to get that out of my neck and shoulders. I may also go lay by the pool for a little too while DH is working. Have a nice me day, ya know?

CD: 2

WAYDTGKU: all the things, including clomid and IUI with trigger this cycle

R/R: I'm feeling so emotional this week. I don't think it's TTC- related, but if I'm honest, starting my 9th cycle doesn't help.

On the bright side, I got my CD3 labs and baseline ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow morning, so we're one step closer to IUI.

CS/Q: nothing to report yet

@shoogapoff I did 1 round of clomid thru my OB but it totally dried up my CM so I didn’t do it again. The letrozole has done the complete opposite. I also notice less side effects (had decently bad headaches on clomid) on letrozole but in general I think they do the same thing! Good luck! Hoping this does the trick for you!

@shoogapoff I think that's why a lot of doctors are moving away from Clomid. It has a lot more side effects compared to letrozole. GL on going through IUI!

@kpearse99 a massage sounds awesome! I plan on having one the day before my FET so I can feel less stressed.

@mvt2003 I hate when my inbox updates and I'm like oh, no wonder I thought I wasn't getting any emails, it wasn't updating!

The good thing with my dress is I just need a little extra room at the top of the zipper (I'm guessing for alterations this means letting out the side seams on the dress). I think max letting out is 2 sizes so I should be fine. My friend, the bride and her MOH on the other hand.... *TW*

will both be 6 months along and both bought their dresses before getting KU. Both ordered their dresses in Feb and got KU in April-ish (due Jan). MOH was a unicorn with her 1st kid, didn't think it would happen with their 2nd after having her IUD removed... She was wrong. My friend, who already has 1 unplanned kid is having a 2nd (but very welcome!) unplanned kid. They were TTA even! They were going to wait until after the wedding to try.

Funny how different our journeys to kids are. 1 unicorn x2, 1 unplanned x2, and me spending thousands with still nothing - but hopefully that changes next month!

@shoogapoff that’s nice! Our dogs are crazy, so I don’t know how therapeutic it is for us...that’s why we do a separate walk without them and just don’t tell them! 🤫 Sorry for all the emotions! That’s so exciting you are one step closer to your IUI though!

@inthewoods23 it is crazy how different everyone’s journey is, but I’m so hopeful for you next month!!
