I'm here! I don't know why I thought my exhaustion was going to miraculously go away. But it hasn't. I want to nap all the time. I feel like with my first, the fatigue had gone away by now. This time around, I'm heading for bed at 10pm and still get grumpy when the alarm goes off in the morning.
Anyone else wondering where that rumored burst of energy is hiding out?
16 weeks on Saturday and (as of about 3 weeks ago) I finally understand why my mom loved being pregnant so much. I am more tired in the evenings than I used to be and apparently I wake up at 4 now (though I was never a morning person before), but all around this is much more enjoyable than the first trimester was.
I think I have felt my baby move a couple times already, the first time was just into 14 weeks. It was a bit surprising to have it happen that early.
I start work in 10 days, so we'll see how I am feeling then.
Me me me! I’m 14w1d today! I’ve noticed I had a burst of energy last weekend. This week has been rough working 11am-11:30pm shift so naturally that made me exhausted, pregnant or not. Plus it’s been a very difficult week emotionally for reasons I won’t make you all sad about. I still get gaggy.
I thought I might have felt baby move once yesterday, but hard to be sure. Braxton Hicks as of this morning. Mine aren’t painful, I can just feel my uterus getting hard.
I'll be 14 weeks tomorrow! Nausea and aversions are better, but not gone. I'm keeping up the B6 and unisom because I'm afraid of how I might feel if I stop. I'm just excited to reach this milestone! I lost my first pregnancy at 6 weeks, so 2nd trimester is a big deal to me.
14 weeks and 2 days here! Thought all nausea and fatigue would be gone. Not so. I’m in the same boat as @malloryfrommn with continued nausea- I forgot my unisom/B6 one day and it showed me that I do indeed still need it. Better than deep in 1st tri, but still there.
And like several other posters, the fatigue is still around. I take 15 min naps 2x a day at work when I can - we have two 15 min breaks, and if I’m at the office I shut my door, roll out my yoga mat, lights off, 15 min timer on, and lay on the floor for a brief “floor nap”. So much better when I’m teleworking and can nap on a couch or bed for 15.
BUT I’ve been able to get up at 530 and work out daily like pre-pregnancy, and the exhaustion has gone down so my workouts are closer to pre-pregnancy than during first tri. Which has been a huge boost for me Guess that’s my version of glow
15 weeks here and the nausea has mostly gone away. The exhaustion is killing me though. Around 3-4:00 I hit a wall and become almost narcoleptic. I’ve been trying to nap on those wonderful occasions where both boys nap at the same time. The big kid has also gotten a good bit of screen time so I can lay next to him and sleep during little brothers nap if they both won’t go down. I think I’ve felt the baby a few times this past week but I’ve also had a good bit of gas pain so 🤷🏻♀️
Okay I’m a turd. I really thought second tri energy and glow was universal for some reason- I bet it’s just a few weeks difference from person to person! Nesting has started over here. I hate cleaning and I’m cleaning. Also dying to know gender so I can buy all the things! I’m 15 weeks though. I swear by 20 weeks it’s all glowing and nesting- keep holding out hope!
14w1d here. I have had energy back and loss of nausea for a few weeks. Yesterday I felt my uterus just under my belly button and was kind of freaking out because at the u/s they said I was measuring a little big but a few BM took care of that LOL.
I have no glow or love of pregnancy. It is going so quickly this time around. I do not feel bad about this LOL, except that I would love to slow my baby girl from growing up. This morning we were cuddling in bed and she said "Mommy, go in the other room now please".

15 weeks here and I am less nauseated but I still throw up every morning. I have more energy but I get winded and tired so quickly from like any physical activity, especially if it’s hot. I look like I’ve gained 10 lbs but the scale says I have gained only 1.5 so that’s weird for me but cool. Just waiting to feel happy this pregnancy like I did with my last one. My last one I always felt great and I flowed and I was so happy all the time. This time I’m grumpy and sad and sleepy and ugh

Also looking like I’ve gained 10lbs but the scale is only showing 2. And I second the grumpiness....I feel like I’m constantly irritable. And my mood swings are terrible! Sorry hubby
15w3d here. Finally getting more energy, but it is hit and miss. Most days it is there but then some I am back to square one and am just pooped. Have had a few flutters that I feel like might be baby, but it is still early so I am not sure. Luckily so far, I have lost 5lbs and not gained (I am a little overweight for this pregnancy, so it is a good thing for me). Really wishing that baby bump would appear and can't wait. I think I "popped" around 18 weeks or so last time, so I am hoping that is the case this time around also because I am still wearing all my normal clothes and don't look pregnant at all.
@leksiL my uterus is up to my belly button in the morning when my bladder is full! But once I pee it goes back down. Honestly though I think it’s about one inch below my belly button right now normally. I also have a short torso since I’m quite petite 🤷🏼♀️
@bg122785 I am with you - my energy is hit and miss too. Super tired today. Also I’m still battling the bloat. I started using the belly band today because I’m too bloated for my regular jeans. I ordered some side panel ones and I can’t wait for them to arrive. Really looking forward to this belly turning from bloat to bump!
@nhh11 and @brookert615 Could your babies be sitting on your bladders? I was telling my doctor about still having to pee quite a bit at my last appointment. When she checked the heartbeat, it turns out baby is sitting right on top of mine. I have since figured out how to tell when it is more nestled in depending on how often and how much I pee at any given point of the day. 😂
I just entered today and got to hear the baby’s heartbeat! My nausea is pretty much gone. Basically I’m just tired and sore all the time. Acid reflux has also hit, so Tums are my friend.
16 weeks today. Feeling a little better than first tri, but this has still been a rough pregnancy so far. Thank goodness I have no more spotting (knock on wood). Now I’m just waiting to feel movement and that pregnancy glow (feeling more like a troll doll these days).
I am still tired but no longer completely exhausted. I don’t usually nap when DD naps anymore which is good because work starts again on Monday. I still have to make sure to eat regularly or I feel blah. And the evening heartburn has arrived but Zantac is managing it just fine.
I can’t wait for a real bump though, still mostly in the “too many tacos” phase.
Tomorrow is my last day of the 1st trimester! I had a dumb moment last week and was so excited that the trimester was over...forgot I had to get through the 13th week first haha...I'm not a total idiot, I promise!
Nausea is gone but I feel tired all the time. I have to nap on the weekends now. I wasn't this tired before. I am also constantly thirsty.

@babyroma my week 13 overview on The Bump home page said 2nd tri starts at the end of week 13, but then I got a notification from The Bump at 13w 0d that basically said "It's the start of the second trimester." It was funny to get conflicting information FROM THE SAME APP, lol.
@rikiteacup I’m riding that thirst train, too. It’s strange though... I’m typically a room temp kinda gal, but as soon as the second trimester hit, I prefer it cold. It was the same way with my first pregnancy.
Glad to finally be in the 2nd trimester. 14w + 3d. My first trimester nausea isn't totally gone but it is so so so much more manageable and I am not as tired. But definitely still need to go to bed early. I have an almost 3 year old and watch my friends 2.5 year old so I am constantly on the go so I am not surprised by the lack of energy. I am thirsty ALL the time, like waking up in the middle of the night to pee and have cotton mouth bc I need water so badly. Oh and peeing ALL THE DARN TIME. It's only gotten worse. I will go to the bathroom leave the bathroom only to turn around 2 seconds later.. my first pregnancy was like this too. I have a close friend who I am convinced is a camel because during all of her pregnancies she never had to pee this much and she just thinks I am exaggerating LOL

I definitely have more energy overall, but it wasn't the magical "glow" and complete disappearance of symptoms that people make it out to be.
