the good news is, the baby still looks great--measuring right on time with a heart rate of 183 (it was 185 last week--it's normal for it to slow a tiny bit over a week, right?).
the ultrasound tech said that she would not stress about the placenta previa--she said it's way too early to worry about the placenta. We will be able to see it much better at the 12 week u/s. For now, there is definitely blood flow in the umbilical cord, but she said she couldn't be sure exactly where it was attaching.
the bad news is, the hemorrhage has grown and now it extends to the left side of the sac as well. it's long & thin and circles over 1/2 of the sac. but, it looks like the part of the hemorrhage that's on the right side of the sac (that was there last week) is starting to re-absorb because the tech said it didn't look nearly as solid anymore (i.e. the clot initially looked like it's own oblong sac & now it looks more like the rest of my endometrium, on the right side at least).
So all we can do is wait and see what happens. I felt very positive about the appointment today though. The tech said she sees these SCH now & then & that mine is not gigantic or anything (more like a medium size). She didn't seem overly concerned though and kept re-assuring us that the baby looks great (she also said it's a really good sign that I haven't bled anymore than the one main episode). She did say that I obviously can start bleeding again at any moment and to be prepared.
I did not get to meet with my Dr. today, which is fine with me--I think he gives me too much information sometimes. He did leave labwork for me to get some blood clotting testing done (the only 2 I can have done during pregnancy are Factov V Leiden & Homocysteine levels, which I think is the MTHFR test). So I went to the hospital & had that blood work done. It has to be sent away so the results for those will probably take a week or so.
Overall, it was a good appointment. I love seeing our baby in there! I just hope it hangs in there & keeps growing and that the hemorrhage goes away!
Thanks for all of your support. I am going to try to stay positive these next few weeks. I have a meeting with a midwife on Friday at which point I will schedule my NT scan for 12 weeks.

If somebody hasn't all ready said it, it is normal for the h/b to vary a little bit. Mine was 167 at my 9 wk u/s and by 13 weeks it was down to 153 on my at home doppler. I asked my Dr about it and he said it's normal and dropping 14 bpm is only a small amount. I was thinking that was alot!
Anyway, I'm soo glad to hear everything looks well and the tech sounds optimistic that it's reasbsorbing. Also glad to hear the Dr is letting you do the blood clotting disorder tests. That will be reasuring once you get the resutlts back! Yay!

Glad to hear baby is doing well. You're in my prayers as always!
Great News!
You're baby's heartrate is way higher than mine! It's normal for it to flux a bit depending on resting and activity and it's supposed to slow as it grows anyway. Either way you look at it, your baby has a really strong heartbeat.
As for the SCH extending, it doesn't sound so bad if part of it is already beginning to absorb. That sounds very positive.
I'm glad you got your other clotting tests done.
I'm so happy you had a good appointment. My thoughts and prayers are still with you and baby. This IS your sticky baby, Rachel.
