ready to be underwhelmed??? I'm already wearing a silicone, stand-in band since my fingers started swelling weeks ago I'll see if I can dig up any pics of my actual rings, but this is all you get for now!
I love my ring! It’s aquamarine, which is the birth stone for March. Two days after our wedding a diamond fell out from the side and I was super upset but the jeweler fixed it up really quick.
I too have resorted to wearing a thin silicone band right now due to the bloat/heat. I found an old pic on my phone of my engagement ring and 2 wedding bands from right after we got married , it’s a little blurry though
MH did an amazing job picking out my engagement ring. We picked out the band together and the middle ring is MHs grandmothers band that she left me (which I 100% do not deserve and feel honored to wear it every day)
Here's a photo of my rings from our wedding. I honestly never wear my engagement ring. I actually proposed to my husband with a ring for him that was engraved with my handwriting, and we bought me a ring after knowing it wouldn't be permanent. We just haven't gotten around to picking a new ring. It's a peridot, which is my father's birthstone. He passed away less than two months before we got engaged.
Coming up on our 2 year anniversary this fall! Ahhh our wedding was truly the best day of my life and they say your baby’s birthday is suppose to beat that - I can’t wait!!! Sorry - no idea how to post spoiler thingy.
This was all I had saved on my computer (I work from home and don't usually wear my rings around the house!) - my engagement ring was my grandmother's, which I love so much. We picked out the bands together and they're engraved with our wedding date.
Hubby designed my set off a pic I found online and I LOVE them. He engraved all three (both of mine and his) with lines from our song. I’ve had such a diminished appetite my rings are a little loose lol! So hopefully no silicone bands for a little while.
@mrsc918 DS’s birth did not top our wedding. Wedding was the best day of our life. DS’s birth was the most monumental/life changing. But I didn’t have an instant bond with DS, my first thought was, “I wonder what he looks like? Oh that’s what you look like. Okay.” And then pain post-birth. DH agrees: wedding still best day ever.
@laurenm2123 thank you so much! It was my wedding mani and the manicurist had to convince me to add some sparkle, but I’m glad he did! This was after honeymoon I think
@silverhope Ditto on wedding still being the best day of my life. I love DS, but his birth was scary for me and led to a traumatic NICU stay.
Not trying to scare anyone, but I wouldn't put pressure on it being the best day of your life, because there are so many factors that are out of your control.
I love my rings! I’ve been having to take them off at nighttime because they feel so tight and uncomfortable to sleep in—I may need to get a silicone ring like you ladies. PS: nothing like pregnancy hormones to make my nails stronger and longer than ever before! I wish that symptom stuck around
