Trying to Get Pregnant

TFAS Week of 8/19

Re: TFAS Week of 8/19

  • @kpearse99 yes thank you! I think I just worry that they are thinking, come on, we would call you if something was wrong! And I do trust them to do that. But they have never acted annoyed so I don’t even know why I’m hesitating.
  • @bows22 and @shamrocandroll it's normal to hesitate.  I've emailed my sons teachers so many times over the school year  :D  But not for random things - it's always been to either let them know something that maybe happened that morning and why he might be off, or if I needed more information than what he was telling me.

You have a legit reason to call and check in, it's not like you're calling 5 times a day just to say "hi" LOL I would have rather the parents called than for them to stress and worry all day. Our pre-school had cameras too so the parents could log into their portal whenever they wanted and see what we were doing.

  • @kpearse99 I would get exactly zero things done at work if I could see what DD was doing all day. I’m so curious! I guess maybe the novelty wears off but it’s probably best that we don’t have that option.

@bows22 I'll call or email daycare to check on her. It's usually on days when she's not feeling well or they email me questions like if they can give her Tylenol for a fever.
Editing to add that our daycare encourages parents to call and check in any time.
  • I'm sorry about to food poisoning @whatsbumpinpumpkin glad you're able to try this cycle anyway, fx the bug won't matter.  FWIW, I think the hotwheels sound like a great strategy!
  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin So sorry you’ve been sick. And I’m all about bribery. It’s parenting survival, yo. Gotta do what you gotta do.
  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin oh no!!!! Food poisoning is the worst!!! I hope you feel better soon!!  And there is nothing wrong with a little bribery!!!

  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin I’m glad you are feeling better!!

@kpearse99 you convinced me I was being silly about the weather and we went to the pool. We basically had it to ourselves except for 2 older gentlemen using the lap pool. It was so nice!
  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin I have resorted to bribing MS to go to sleep and stay asleep without crying by letting him pick Daniel Tiger or Mickey Mouse figurines. It mostly works. I had gotten them hoping to use them for potty training in the future, but I just need a few nights of uninterrupted sleep. I hope he stops this ish before he turns 2.

  • I just took DS to this open house at a new place called Code Ninja. It’s basically classes that teaches and reinforces STEM - focusing on technology and coding and gaming. He was hesitant to go but FREAKING LOVED IT!! I’m hoping his dad can split the month costs with me because he would love it so much!!

We have code ninja around here.
It's great to get kids involved in coding early! (I work at a software company, but I'm a technical writer, not a developer). I wish I knew how to code...
    Glad he loved it!

  • @kpearse99 that sounds soo cool! It’s cool to see  this next generation ready to handle technology advances!

@whatsbumpinpumpkin it sounds like fall is hitting full force there! So cool!
  • Has anyone seen the show on Netflix "The Letdown" ?

  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin yes!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Working Moms too!!
  • Currently watching all the things.

  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin Hadn’t heard of it. But I just sat down to watch something and am giving it a go. How are you feeling?
  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin I am currently watching the show “the letdown”. I like it so far 😀

@gingermama29 LOVED the show working moms!! 😁 I want a season 3 lol
  • My sister asked me if I want another crib and some hand me down girl clothes this week. She knows what’s going on. You’d think she’d understand now is not the time, especially since she’s a nurse, but she didn’t have any trouble getting and staying pregnant with her four kids. Grrrrr! My twin, who had to do IUI with second, also doesn’t seem to understand how HCG doubling works. WHY DOESN’T ANYONE KNOW HOW BODIES WORK?!? My son also has a yeast infection and I have to find a way to get him into the doc today. It’s gonna be a Monday kind of Monday.

  • @NYTino24 Wtf?! Pretty insensitive timing, sister. I’m sorry she didn’t think before she offered the stuff. Big hugs to you, this is so unfair.
