I keep getting it all over my baby's clothes and mine. Is there an ointment that is not so messy and yet effective? - I find the only ones that work are the thick white goopy ones. I tried vaseline, but it doesn't do a good job treating the rash.
My baby is 10 weeks old & I've always used A+D ointment. She has never had diaper rash because I use it preventively. I use it once or twice a day to prevent diaper rash. I first saw its effectiveness 5 years ago when my nephews had serious diaper rash. We were afraid their little penises will fall off. Desitin or any of the creamy ones didn't work until someone gave my sister A+D ointment. Within 2 days their skin was healed. It's been A+D ointment since then for my family.
