  • @chichiphin Thursday is his actual birthday (which I'm assuming is why his g/f decided to do it then)... but he's not 5, he'll understand if the party isn't on his actual birthday LOL.  His g/f rented out an entire venue, got a band, and is paying for 2 food trucks to be there. And I'm guessing that most of the guests will have to leave early because they work Friday. DUMB. LOL, sorry, rant over.
Yeah the acne is weird! It's not too bad on my face, but jawline, neck, chest, shoulders, back....gross. It just dawned on my last night that it MIGHT be because I started using hairspray, which I normally never use. But it's more fun to blame it on hormones lol.

  • What can we do to livin' things up around here? Although I know I've been dead weight this week because I'm paralyzed by anxiety awaiting NIPT results that I expected yesterday. No one seems to jump at good FFFC... I mean I'm fine sharing all my controversial opinions if we think it would shake things up hahahahaha.

  • What's going on this week? Saturday I’m going on a date with DH to hibachi. We tried taking DS a bit ago and he cried so I had to take him away until the fire was done so it’ll just be us. We haven’t been out just us since March 😬 Besides that nothing much. Just anxiously waiting 2nd trimester and hoping it brings more energy bc I’m dragging.

How far along are you? 11+4

Upcoming appointments? Not until Sept 26th 😢

Cravings/Symptoms? All the carbs, canned food like spaghetti Os, Taco Bell (my cravings are all so bad for me and yet I can’t stomach much else)! Still dealing with nausea and exhaustion.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? Finally got a Doppler so I’m excited to try it out. DH has a work call tonight so I’ll probably try it out after DS is asleep and I have some down time before DH’s call ends. Poor DH is so stressed with work lately. He has great days sometimes but it’s been feeling like more and more weeks are bad with a good day sprinkled in when it used to be the opposite. I feel so bad for him and wish I could do something. Last night he was like working out equations while eating dinner afraid that he was wrong about something he had said earlier in the day. He figured out he was right and that helped a little but I wish he was able to turn it off when he got home bc it’s grating on both of us I think.

     Questions? Nope

  • @chichiphin I hope you start feeling better soon and that the next 3 weeks of appointments bring you some relief!

@stassischroeder I don’t even know of kids who care if they have a party on their actual bday, that is crazy. I’m an old curmudgeon and just say no when stuff is too late for DS or he’s not invited bc honestly I want to be with him.

  • @chichiphin I hope you feel better soon!
@stassischroeder That party sounds like a pain in the ass. I wouldn't put my friends through that for my birthday.
@EmilyLove25 I'm with you on bringing this board to life! But if it ends up being a smaller, tighter group, I'm fine with that too.
@varimama I love hibachi! Sounds so good to have a date night! DS loves watching the hibachi, and eating the rice, but that could change at any time, because toddler moods.

What's going on this week? I'm finally feeling better. I had a nasty cold and major tummy troubles earlier this week. Dry heaved a few times, and had some *TMI* nasty poops, but luckily no vomiting.
Also, we found out we're having another boy! It's so crazy to already know, since we were team green until birth last time.

How far along are you? 11w+3d

    Upcoming appointments? September 11

Cravings/Symptoms? Gross symptoms mentioned above. My cravings haven't been as extreme, but I'm still not making great food decisions. Luckily, I've been feeling full pretty quickly.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? FIL is still in the hospital, which means he will miss DS's birthday party tomorrow, which has also turned into a surprise pregnancy reveal. It also means I have no idea when my ILs will finally be out of my house after more than a month.
I'm super excited about the party though! It's very small, with just close family and one friend. The plan is that DS's final gift will be from us, which is a shirt that says "Big Bro" and a book "I am a Big Brother." If I have time, I'm going to try and buy a few confetti poppers for the grandparents to find out the sex. I'm not a fan of "gender reveals," but since we already know, I think it'll be a fun opportunity for the grandparents to find out. I'm a bit sad, because my best friend from college can't come now, because her daughter is sick with a stomach bug. I totally get it and don't expect her to make the trip with a sick kid, so I'm hoping I can FaceTime them with DS wearing his shirt and still get to surprise her.

    Questions? Nope!

  • @MrsVP614 I’m so sorry your FIL is still in the hospital. I hope he gets out really soon! Your party sounds like it’s going to be so much fun. We always do small parties for DS and honestly I think for him they work better, he gets overwhelmed with too many people.

  • What's going on this week? Been a nice and relaxing week. Lots of time spent at the pool and beach. I can't believe August is coming to an end soon!

How far along are you? 9w!

Upcoming appointments? NIPT on 9/3 and then NT scan will be scheduled for week 13.

Cravings/Symptoms? No real cravings as I have had major nausea since 6w. I think I'm slowly on the mend though which I can't wait for. I never had nausea with my DS and holy sh*t it's no joke. All day long with no relief. Very much looking forward to the 2nd tri.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? Just hoping I'm almost over the nausea hump.

     Questions?

@chichiphin I am so sorry you're feeling so horrible. I really hope it eases up for you soon. It's hard to enjoy the pregnancy when you're feeling so sick. FX it ends soon!

I pee so much at night too @stassischroeder! I'm sorry your BIL is being such a pain in the a**. I hope you can find a way to have a little fun at least!

I'm glad you're getting some alone time with your DH @varimama! How did the Doppler work out?

Congratulations on team blue! @MrsVP614 I am having such digestive issues this pregnancy (wasn't nearly as bad with DS). I hope you're feeling better soon. I'm sorry to hear about your FIL, but hopefully you can FaceTime with him from your DS' party.

  • @puppylove8910 Jealous of your time at the beach & pool! FIL is a farmer with a flip phone, so FaceTime won't be an option for him. LOL. But we will find a cute way to tell him.

I wonder if it has to do with this being a second pregnancy? Like our bladder muscles are already more relaxed. I pee 4x a night too and never did with DS :(@stassischroeder

  • @puppylove8910 I peed just as much at night with pregnancy #1, so unfortunately that doesn't explain it for me. Last time it only got worse, so pretty soon I'll be peeing 8+ times a night  :#

  • @stassischroeder DH is an engineer at a semiconductor factory. Honestly he puts a lot of pressure on himself but he is super respected by upper management even if he disagrees with them a lot because he’s true to being an engineer and let’s actual facts make his decisions not workplace politics. It causes a lot of stress for him though.

+1 to peeing all night. Plus I have such a hard time going back to sleep after peeing so that isn’t helping with the exhaustion!

@puppylove8910 I feel so guilty not getting DS to the beach yet this year. The heat just adds to my nausea so I’ve avoided it but made plans to go next week! The Doppler was amazing! Best purchase so far! I found the heartbeat right away and it was so relieving!

  • I actually do have a question. How do you ladies manage your blood sugar over night? I wake up feeling so shaky and out of it & it takes a solid hour after I eat breakfast before I start feeling normal again. I eat some dry cereal before getting out of bed, but doesn't seem to do the trick like it was. Any advice or tips would be appreciated!

  • @puppylove8910 can you keep some snacks near your bed? I’m not having that problem now but when I had surgery a few years ago I had to eat whenever I took my medication every few hours or I got really sick. I found that I liked little packs of fruit snacks and granola bars or those little packs of like ritz crackers. They were easy didn’t need refrigeration and I could eat them without getting too awake.
