@kmj1426 Not only can you be loving and kind, but it is even possible to be friends with them. One of my dearest friends is my polar opposite on pretty much everything (religion, politics, many social issues). We have a lot of really interesting conversations because we talk to understand the other person's point of view, not to prove a point.
@mandk1233 absolutely! My best friend of 17 years has 100% different views than me and we have learned so much from each other while still disagreeing. I appreciate our relationship so much because of our ability to love each other despite our differences.
I hate 90% of baby clothes with writing. Not because I’m against text, but I hate the messages. With my daughter people would gift us onesies that said things like “my daddy won’t let me date” or “thick thighs, pretty eyes.” Those went straight to Goodwill.
@lanie1000 haha H and I were talking about that and how people just treat baby clothes like bumper stickers with all the stupid sayings. (Although I'm totally guilty of buying the guess what, chicken butt onesie for our announcement.)
Maybe this will change once I actually have a baby, but I do not like when people post pictures of their baby eating with food ALL over themselves. I’m sure this is hard to avoid when feeding a baby but it’s a little gross to look at, especially when you’re prone to nausea 😆
@lanie1000 the thick thighs one I would have straight out burned!! The worst one I got was "Born to Shop". UGH - NO.
They can be cute! For instance Bells is wearing a shirt today with a fire truck and dalmatians driving and it says wee-rhoo wee-rhoo. It makes me laugh.
@nhh11 it is truly impossible to feed a baby without them becoming a big mess. Parents think it's cute. Let's talk in about 9 months

@nhh11 That's a toughie because I think my kid is cute covered in food, but other people's nasty food-covered kids make me gag and scroll faster.
@lanie1000 I agree about clothes with words for the most part. We donate anything with text, sports, construction equipment, camo, or monkeys right away. I wish people wouldn't buy my kid clothes unless it's from my Amazon list...
I don't like going to the beach. It's hot, the sand gets everywhere, you can't even read on a kindle because the device overheats from the heat and sun, the ground and chairs are uncomfortable to lay on, if you go in the water to cool off then the sand sticks to you and makes you feel all gross, and at the end all you end up with is a sunburn. Why not just read a book inside, with AC, on a comfy couch with pillows?
@kmj1426 Totally agree and that stance is becoming a lot more rare these days. I'm still facebook friends with some people I knew in college and lately they've been posting a lot of things along the lines of "If you disagree with me politically, you're not human and we can't be friends". When did people start becoming so radicalized?
@noxacanthus I looove the beach but totally empathize with you. Sand is so hard to get off! Especially the powdered sugar kind of sand you find in Florida (which is also what I love about FL). Now that I’m older I like to be in a chair, in the shade, and dry! Haha
@jvk2012 - oh hell no does anyone bring a gun into my house! If you want to have guns at your house fine. I grew up shooting and am not scared of them but I find it totally disrespectful to bring something like that into someone’s house without notifying them.
Its funny though when I went to MN our office said no guns allowed like it was a surprise but I guess a lot of people just carry guns around with them everywhere.

I agree @noxacanthus the beach is the WORST. My sister asked me to go on a momcation with her to the beach and it was a hard no.
My UO opinion is that I prefer cloudy, rainy days. This is the first rainy day we have had in a long time and I am loving it. My dream is to move to London and enjoy the dreary weather.
@leksiL, a friend and her bf stayed at our house one night a few years ago. I later found out he had a gun on him when he was here and I didn’t know. I was so upset. Fortunately we had no kids yet or I would have really lost it! I’m not afraid of them and have fired guns before but I believe it’s a home owners right to know if a gun is in the home.
@doodleoodle You would get along well with my SIL. About a month ago she was telling us about her dream of living in London because of the rain and clouds. 😂
@doodleoodle me too! It’s the same way here today and I’m loving it!
Mine is that I think expensive, lengthy and very involved bachelor/bachelorette parties are silly. Sure, have a party with friends but if you need to go out of town for a week of drinking and planned activities to cope with the idea of no longer “being single”, maybe you aren’t ready to get married.
@Swiftlet I agree. I hate those expensive, lets go on a trip and do all the activities type of bachelorette parties. Thank God all my close friends are married, and never had them. We just all had a night out with friends and that was that. The only one I traveled for was my sister's and we just went camping a few hours away for one time, so it was not a big deal. I feel like it puts just so much pressure on everyone and my lord, not everyone has the money to shell out for a trip like that.
Re: UO 8/22
I can't stand those letter boards. Maybe they were cute at first but now they are everywhere!

My UO is that you can disagree on social issues but still be kind and loving towards people.... seems to be super unpopular these days.

Do not conceal carry in my home. Do not bring a gun into my home ever but especially if I don’t know about it.
