@creamcheeseplease I have a jogger I like but it isn't as fancy as the Bob. I can't remember the brand either. I will have to look on Amazon to see what I got. I like it. The only thing I don't like is that there isn't a divider between the seats. My kids tend to fight with each other in it.
I also have a graco tandem that I use for shopping, airports, etc. I love it. It also wasn't super expensive and it does a great job.
I love my BOB Flex for an every day and running stroller.
For travelling, I'm in love with my Pockit stroller! It's an umbrella stroller that folds down so tiny I can stick it in a small rolling suitcase or a bag to carry. When we lived in Europe it was perfect for all the flying and train trips we took.
I love our BOB but it is cumbersome. It is our Zoo, running, ourdoor activity stroller.
I got the Chicco Bravo system and dont love that stroller. It feels junky for the cost. The parent cup holders are a joke, a tiny zipper pocket for nothing more than some cash, but the childs tray is nice. I actually use that stroller a little more now that she is bigger and we will let it see us through the next one. Contemplating a sit and stand since our older one is 3 now but we will wait til Spring to decide if we are going to do anything.
I love our Uppa Baby Vista and will be getting a second seat to make it a double for the fall. I use it mostly for walks, but it travels well. It is a bit heavy but I can lift it no problem up and down our porch stairs, and it stands up on its own when folded which makes for easy storage. I used the bassinet when my son was an infant and found it convenient.
I also have a BOB I got off a local bst group. It’s fine but super clunky and heavy and difficult to fold. It is good on rocks and soft sand at the beach. I’d like to get a double running stroller for next Spring and have always eyed the Thule brand, but they’re are pricey, so I’ll probably just look for another second hand one.
I have the Graco Fast Action with car seat stroller. I think I might be the only one who actually loves it but I have had it for going on 4 years and it is still my most used stroller. Easy to fold with one hand, not too heavy, durable (because I beat mine up in the trunk)
Negatives: Cup Holders for the adult are a joke. I usually only put my keys or phone in them now.
I never did get a double stroller when I had my second. I am wondering if I should now that I am adding my third. I'll have 4, 2 and newbie but I still think it might be easier to baby wear, stroller the 2 year old and my 4 year old is trained to stay close now.
Does anyone have a Maxi-Cosi? I'm looking at getting the Adorra stroller with the MicoMax 30 car seat, but it's not on any of the "top 20" lists, so I'm a little wary. Evenflo also has a new deluxe/gold line at Babies R Us, which looks/feels quality, but I can't find any reviews.
I reaaaaaally want the city mini double stroller. I’m keeping my eye out for a used one, because I refuse to pay $500 for a stroller. But holy cow, they’re nice. if I don’t find a good deal on one, I’ll go with the Joovy scooter. Not as many bells and whistles but my friend has one and I like that it steers so we’ll with two different weight kids.
I have had SO MANY strollers over the past 14 years, but this time around I bought an Uppababy Cruz secondhand off of craigslist. It's similar to the Vista, just not as big and doesn't have the ability to turn it into a double. But I won't be having anymore kids and I prefer a less bulky stroller so it'll do fine for me. Strollers have gotten so expensive!
@Kurtni we have the city mini (single) stroller for my toddler and we love it. I've been eyeing the double stroller too, but can't justify it when I have a hard time convincing said toddler to ride in it for more than a few minutes at a time. Good luck on the marketplace! Fingers crossed someone is cleaning out their garage in your area!
@macabremom this is our last as well, and I really don't want to spend on an additional stroller if we don't have to. This baby gear is CRAZY expensive!
Anyone doing a complete travel system with this baby? We had a Graco one with our first two babes and loved it. Of course, sold off all the baby stuff, then found out we were pregnant. Now, we're starting over and thinking we'd like to go the travel system route again. The stroller market has changed a lot since 2012. What are your favorite travel systems?
@natehk I am a FTM too and we also looked at a Chicco travel system for our baby. I really liked the Chicco Bravo travel system. Our friends have them and they all love them. The only thing is you have to buy another base if you plan on using the carrier in several vehicles and you'll have to eventually graduate to a bigger carseat instead of just starting off with a convertible one. The plus side is you dont have to disturb baby getting them in and out of the car if you use the carrier instead of a convertible seat.
Considering getting a sit and stand stroller this Fall. My current little one is just over 3 and she both loves to be independent but also likes to relax and ride some times. Would anyone recommend a sit and stand, and im better off just going double, is there any certain brand any one would recommend or emphatically say stay away from?
My one but if advice is, if you get a jogging stroller with inflatable wheels, buy a tire repair kit to keep in the stroller. Getting a flat out on a trail and not being able to repair it is very frustrating!
@purplefan1 I have the joovy lightweight something that’s double, but can also be a sit and stand. You can remove the seat In The back to make it a sit and stand. I love it. We don’t use the seat part too often,’my Daughter will be four next month and likes to get on and off, but I like having the option. I usually don’t take the seat part In with me if she decides to not have it to save room in the basket. It’s not a hard seat just a little bulky.
@sdheft619 How light is that stroller? I'm going to be doing two drop-offs for about 6 months once we go back to daycare. This means I'll load the new baby up, just to take him out to pick up DD and put him back in again. I was originally looking at the Chicco Keyfit Caddy because I've seen a mom open and close it with one hand/foot and it is so light. But I'd hate to have to buy 2 strollers, and I really would like the Joovy one as a double. If I bought both of those, that'd mean I'd have 4 strollers at home
@purplefan1 I just bought the Evenflo Pivot Xpand and love it. It can be used as both a single and a double stroller. You can purchase an extra seat or a ride along board. I'll probably do that later on, but for now we'll be using one seat for DD and the car seat adapter, which perfectly fits our Chicco Keyfit 30.

I am getting a Nuna Pipa car seat from my brother (I know, right? So generous) so I’m not getting a travel system. Since it will be a November baby and I’m in snowy Canada, I’m not concerned about not having a stroller I’m the winter. I’m thinking I’ll wait until the spring and get a jogging stroller. Is 6 months big enough for a jogging stroller or will I regret not having one compatible with the infant car seat??
@megmac2010 I started using my jogging stroller with my son around 6 months with no infant seat. I think the main thing is for them to have good neck control to be in it without the infant seat because they dont always recline completely.
@megmac2010 it depends on what you plan to do, but I would say the cold is more reason to have a travel system if you're going to be going in and out of stores. I used my son's stroller as a shopping cart whenever we'd go to the grocery store or Target and that way I didn't need to get him out of his carseat on the super cold days (I'm in Boston and he was a September baby). I suppose you could just as easily put the seat in a cart at the store too, but I personally hated lugging it around! The jogging strollers can be used, but not until they have good head control and you aren't suppose to actually run/jog with them until closer to 8 months or a year. I have a BOB and I forget the actual age recommended, but I remember talking about it with his doctor.
I have a BOB as well and wouldnt jog with mine until at least 8 months. And even then it made me nervous as heck.
I do agree, travel systems can be really useful for getting in and out of places. I quickly found the car seat takes up pretty much the whole basket of the cart so unless you are doing a small trip to the store if it hard to get everything you need in the cart along with the car seat. (Dont click the car seat on to the shopping cart. They arent meant to do that and can tip the cart or ruin the clips that click them in to the base in the car).
Also, i think those car seats are a beotch to lug around. I could never get a comfortable carry with them. Click in the stroller and go felt much more comfortable to me.
I agree with PP - I think the absolute minimum age for a jogging stroller is 6 mo and only if their head control is good. You can ask the pedi what they think as well. I'm not familiar with the car seat you're getting but I googled it and it looks like a typical infant seat - if so you can usually get adaptors for strollers so the car seat clicks in. You could look into that. I'm also planning on doing stuff like mall walking so I'll be using the stroller with the infant base adaptor (we have a BOB) to do that even when the weather is too cold to go outside.
It is super hard to get stuff into the cart with the infant seat in the cart taking up all the room. And they are super heavy. For trips to the store I found babywearing to be best for me.. baby was close to me and didn't take up room in the cart.
@gumby22c@rogro118@purplefan1@creamcheeseplease Thank you SO much for the advice. My plan is to babywear as much as possible when out and about during the winter. I live in the east coast of Canada and our roads and sidewalks are often not well cleared, so I’m hesitant to try navigating a stroller outside. I figure babywearing with my warm oversized coat will do the trick.
Good to know that they don’t recommend jogging with a jogging stroller until 8 months. But hopefully she’ll be neck strong enough by May or June (6-7 months) that we could use a full size stroller without an infant seat during the summer... and I can start taking her for runs in the fall!
Of course I’m excited to be getting such a good infant seat for free, but the accessories are SO expensive! An extra base is $209! This kid is very expensive... she better be real cute! 😉
I think its around 20lbs? It’s pretty easy for me to lift. I have a car at the moment so putting it in my trunk sometimes gets a little awkward bc I have to push it in the long way-but might just be a complaint right now because my belly..
its pretty easy to fold as long as I remember the little lock by the wheels. Sometimes I forget (I don’t always lock it bc at first I didn’t know it was even there 🤦🏼♀️) it’s there and takes me a minute to realize where it was stuck.
