Hopefully us week 1ers will get going a bit earlier this week!
EDD/W+D: 7th March, 11+2
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out
Baby is the size of a(n): poker chip
Upcoming appts: Intralipids on Friday
How are you feeling?: Nausea is strong morning and evening, during the day was much better today - but I slept 3 hours a day during the day all weekend and get 9 hours a night... so tiredness is still an issue. Trying to get through this week without going for an US... let’s see if my nerves manage it or not
Rants/Raves: As sleepy as I am, DH is sleepier. We literally made no progress on our jobs list at the weekend
Questions: Not this week
GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? I really like where we live now. 30 minutes outside a major city, but in a village with fields and countryside and wildlife all around us. Airport within 20 minutes. Two coasts within 45 minutes drive. Only thing that could be a bit closer are mountains - but hardly time to miss them! Ive lived in mega cities and very rural, and in between. I think different places suit us at different stages of our lives. So far I was lucky that where I lived suited me at the time.

How are you feeling?: I see a light at the end of the tunnel with the nausea. Definitely tired and 🤢, but I’m functioning a heck of a lot better.
Rants/Raves: The weather in the PACNW is lovely and I’ve made it to the gym a couple times in the last week.
Questions: Does anyone else feel like they’re in a holding pattern until second tri?
GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Pretty thrilled to live in PDX — 1.5 hours to the coast and mountain, hikes abound, and lots of green. Feels like a big town vs a city, but has charm of both. Also, the rain isn’t as bad as people say it is. But if I wasn’t here, I’d probably live in Provence — perfect weather, coasts, bikes, wine, lavender, and a slow pace of living 😍
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: team finding out. Not long now!
Baby is the size of a(n): hard boiled egg
Upcoming appts: 8/22 - NT and regular check in.
How are you feeling?: No more nausea, except at 7PM, on the dot, every day, no matter when I eat. Starting to get some headaches though!
Rants/Raves: Why does Texas have to be so hot? 103 right now.
Questions: none at the moment.
GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? I'll keep it simple. I don't have a specific place in mind. I would just like to live somewhere that doesn't get quite so hot!
Upcoming appts: 3/29 I have my 12 week and my NT scan— getting both in before I go back to work 9/2 to save all my sick days
How are you feeling?: Pretty blah- Nausea is bad but no vomiting unlike my last pregnancy. It’s definitely better than last time, but still not fun. Went without Unisom last night which was a mistake.
Rants/Raves: Rants- this baby has given me a lot of lower GI distress as well, so i feel pretty gross between that, the bloating and the nausea. Raves: DH brought home 2 cravings tonight - Cheetos and Italian ice! Score! Super unhealthy but honestly with all the food aversions I’m letting myself give into cravings with no regrets.
Questions: Don’t think so
GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Hmmm I like living within an hour of city, country, skiing and beach. I could do without the humidity in the summer though! Maybe California? If I could afford it and my family came! Ha!
@heyahelmett I cant imagine 103! It was 92 and humid AF today so DD and I did almost nothing but play at home in the AC. Also same as you with the “morning” sickness at night. WTH!
@heyahelmett Oh, that’s the same up here too! They’ve closed the city for less than an inch an a half before! And over an inch is guaranteed a week off work 😂😂
EDD/W+D: March 3, 12 weeks today! Baby measures a day behind... but I’ll round up 😊
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out!
Baby is the size of a(n): Swedish fish? I’m so confused... last week it was a lime and I swear limes are bigger lol.
Upcoming appts: 8/26, NT scan. I’m so nervous and praying hard for a healthy baby!
How are you feeling?: Physically much better! My headaches have slowed down a lot. I’m still getting bloated if I eat anything, and now constipation has set in. New symptom... I’m getting dizzy more often. Usually when I stand up. And my veins are very noticeable now!!
Mentally is more difficult. I’m so nervous about the NT scan. We had a scan at 10 weeks 2 days and there was a slight concern, but they said it’s too early to tell. Then they highly recommended an NT scan with a high risk doctor. DH and I are both young (29 and 30) and healthy... so I would think our risks are low. I just can’t stop thinking about it and I know I’m driving DH nuts with these mood swings. Well wishes and prayers please!!
Rants/Raves: On the plus side, I have a full agenda for the next 6 days so the NT scan will come quickly.
GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Hawaii.. without a doubt! Been there 3 times now and every time I never want to leave.
@slimjoco I feel you on the waiting for scans and results. It’s so nerve wracking. Keeping everything crossed it was just a pixelated patch on your last US and nothing is wrong. Have they suggested NIPT to you too? With you on the increasing dizziness too. We found mine is due to drops in blood pressure.
@heyahelmett@pdx2020 I come from the UK originally, half an inch of snow and the whole freaking country grinds to a halt!!!
AFM Well I had to go back today as our first NIPT draw didn’t contain enough fetal dna... and I was well over the minimum threshold... they said might be because I’ve had so many blood draws and additional fluids via IV... hopefully this one has enough!

Baby is the size of a(n): plum, but I'm with you on the sizes @slimjoco like two days ago Bump said baby could fit on a sugar packet, and other days larger items
Upcoming appts: Today at 2 with Perinatal specialist, for AMA testing
How are you feeling?: Nervous about this appointment and results, and waiting on results. Really only had brief nausea, would gag at a couple things, but seems to have subsided. Fatigue off and on and feel rather large already. I am relieved to hear other people having dizziness, I don't remember it being this bad my last two pregnancies
Rants/Raves: @heyahelmett with you on the heat, I'm in OK, so brutal. We have so many lakes and lush greenery but I can't even fathom going out to enjoy any of it. I need a boat.
Questions:
GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? You guys are making the coastal regions sound amazing!!
