  • EDD/Weeks + Days: 11/23-- 26+2

Baby is the size of a(n): Kale, with the fist the size of popcorn.

FTM/STM/TTM+: STM, son will be 8

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Pink!!

Upcoming Appointments: Mid-Sept for 30 wk appt.

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Still no cravings! Carpal tunnel, pregnancy brain, frequent bathroom trips
Rants/Raves: Rant/Vent:My son always had night terrors and is a sleep walker. Twice in the last week he has come in sleep walking, which is fine, but when he wakes up he has a distorted perception of time and size of objects and people around him. (Time moves really fast and things look really close and then far away) It's been really scary for him and us, he's almost hallucinating. Unlike night terrors, he remembers it all in the morning. Can't find much about it except something called Alice in Wonderland Syndrome which is apparently common in children. My poor bug.
Rave: Feeling slightly prepared for baby and husband has been working extra and we need that big time. He is also about to reach Journeyman status after apprenticing for four long years which comes with some major benefits.

Questions: Does anyone else get really overwhelmed by these check ins if they don't do them early on?  I had to jump on this as soon as I saw it because then I have a hard time responding to others.

GTKY:  What’s your favorite thing to cook/have for breakfast (if you’re not pressed for time)?
    Eggs and toast, cereal, oatmeal
  • @ABabyMarshall I definitely had to get on asap this week for the check in because I agree, otherwise i get overwhelmed and then just skip that week!

@mc0303 I tried watching schitts creek twice but couldnt get in to it past first episode. My niece said if we have a girl she wants it named Moira Rose (or whatever the girls name is). I want to give it another try!

    EDD/Weeks + Days: 26+2

Baby is the size of a(n): no clue

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Suprise

Upcoming Appointments: Tomorrow! Echo at 730am to check my heart and then glucose challenge from 9am-11am with regular check up mixed in. Should make for a LONG morning. Luckily my husband is staying home with the 3 year old or that could be messy. Hoping to take my laptop and get caught up on a ton of work.

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): My SPD has been weird. Some days it is almost fine with just a little aches and pains if I move wrong. Other days it literally feels like my pelvis bone is breaking as I move. Other than that Im good. No cravings but I have been trying to get in my favorite foods before my test tomorrow. Anticipating I will be on a restricted diet the next 14 weeks.

Rants/Raves: Because I indulged this weekend my weight gain shot up seriously 7lbs since Friday. Hoping most is just water weight and bloating from salt. Sad that is the number Im going to weigh in with tomorrow at doc. Rave: Im just happy. Today is Monday which I wasnt looking forward to doing but glad to get the week started so we can move through it and be one week closer to baby getting here!

Questions: I still worry if I havent felt baby move when I predict it should be moving. This morning I hadnt felt much and baby is typically up with me when I wake up for breakfast. Luckily I started feeling the swooshes and kicks. Anyone else still holding their breath some times waiting for a kick or movement to reassure?

GTKY:  What’s your favorite thing to cook/have for breakfast (if you’re not pressed for time)? A big breakfast. Bacon and scrambled eggs. Biscuits and gravy if we are being fancy and fat.
  • @BNBT YES! I missed last week bc I was traveling for work and crazy busy and by the time I had time I felt guilty not responding to everything so I just didn't check in.

    EDD/Weeks + Days: 11/6 28+5

Baby is the size of a(n): eggplant 🍆

    FTM/STM/TTM+: first timer

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: pink

Upcoming Appointments: 9/6 with OB but am currently at my doctor's office for 3 hour glucose test...one blood draw down and orange drink has been consumed so far.

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): A bit run down...work travel really hit me hard last week. I think I've been trying to just keep doing it all and I need to slow down.

Rants/Raves: I'm just worried about this glucose test and hoping it's a non-issue.

Questions: I'm getting nervous about labor and delivery but I don't think I have specific questions at this point.

GTKY:  What’s your favorite thing to cook/have for breakfast (if you’re not pressed for time)? Bacon 🥓! But lately I've been really craving Greek yogurt with granola, fruit, and honey.
  • @mc0303 woo! Welcome to third trimester!! Glad you rested up and hope your appt goes well!

@dani_0921I believe they check for anemia with your glucose. My last pregnancy I was iron deficient and took Slow FE, no biggie. I also didn't feel symptoms though so I hope at least that if you are you can find relief with a supplement.

@purplefan1 Glad I'm not the only one and yes I do get worried when I don't feel her, I'm having a hard time pinning down her schedule and I don't think she reacts to sweets or cold water like others do. As far as your heart, when you say flubs is it palpitations? I've gotten the big brush off about it. I wore a Holter monitor and never even heard from the cardiologist (good or bad, thought I'd hear something) Hope everything is ok with you!

@runningfortwo81 best of luck on the 3 hour!!
  • @dani_0921 @ABabyMarshall They notified me after my one hour glucose that I'm slightly anemic and recommended slow release iron. I'm taking half a pill per day bc my stomach did not like doing a full pull even with food.

I feel like after having it so easy I'm falling apart all of a sudden. Ha.
  • @ABabyMarshall That must be so scary for you and your little boy!! Hope it gets better <3. And I also feel overwhelmed with the check-ins and how quickly everyone posts! lol
@gumby22c love the size this week -- how big is a latern?? lol
@dani_0921 sorry about the work stress! Try taking it easy as much as possible. I've been super stressed at work and finally realized that it's really affecting my health so I'm committing to being more chill. We'll see how that goes...
@purplefan1 I can see how Schitt's Creek probably isn't everyone's cup of tea! It took me like 3 episodes and then I couldn't stop. I like it because it's so light and breezy and the fashion is KILLER. Everything they wear is just drop dead amazing.
@runningfortwo81 good luck on the 3 hour!! I've been starting to get antsy about L&D too. I've been watching a lot of birth stories on YouTube and listening to a podcast called "The Pregnancy Diaries," where women talk about their experiences. It's been helpful for me.

  • EDD/Weeks + Days: Nov 8th / 28w + 3d

Baby is the size of a(n): Some sort of squash I think

    FTM/STM/TTM+: 3TM

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Baby Blue!

Upcoming Appointments: Wednesday for Glucose and Thursday for a normal appt. + shot.  I have to take my 4 and 2 year old with me so should be fun :D

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms):  Feeling mostly good - back pain is the new constant.  I pee at least 2-3 times at night so I assume I'll sleep a full night in like a year and a half once baby is.

Rants/Raves: Rant - Today is TOOO HOT.  Like seriously summer stop.  I am ready for fall.

    Questions:

GTKY:  What’s your favorite thing to cook/have for breakfast (if you’re not pressed for time)?
I don't cook it but a good french toast and bacon....and home fries. UGH.  That is what I used to indulge with if I went out to breakfast/brunch.  Sadly heartburn is real even without the baby and so I think that is a thing of the past.
  • EDD/Weeks + Days: 11/18 / 27wks

Baby is the size of a(n): Bunch of Bananas or a Camping Lantern

    FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Blue

Upcoming Appointments: 8/30 for Glucose Testing and U/S

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms):  Still recovering from pneumonia.  Easily winded and coughing a lot.

Rants/Raves: I'm in my friend's wedding next weekend and getting fitted for the bridesmaid dress tonight.  Wish me luck. lol  It's going to have to be taken in quite a bit, as I ordered too large.  Oops!

    Questions:

GTKY:  What’s your favorite thing to cook/have for breakfast (if you’re not pressed for time)?  Favorite breakfast is either hashbrown casserole or eggs benedict.  I love a good iced coffee, too.
  • @purplefan1 yes I find myself feeling a bit paranoid on baby's quiet days. It makes me quiet nervous if I havent felt her much throughout the day, because normally shes pretty active.

@mc0303 no idea, I suppose there are a variety of different size lanterns! 😂 I have like 3 pregnancy apps on my phone and that was the only size comparison I could remember this morning. Probably because it's so random!

    FTM/STM/TTM+: stm

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: blue

Upcoming Appointments: 30th - have the drink the sweet drink and see what happens

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): craving SWEETS !!! Syptoms-back pain getting worse and major heart burn

Rants/Raves: I never had the energy boost people talk about... that's frustrating because I'm a teacher who cant sleep and is tired 24/7

    Questions:

GTKY:  What’s your favorite thing to cook/have for breakfast (if you’re not pressed for time)?
I really like making pancakes right now. I just live carbs !!!
  • EDD/Weeks + Days: 11/02, 29+3

Baby is the size of a(n): Butternut Squash

    FTM/STM/TTM+: 4TM

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Blue

Upcoming Appointments: Just had an appointment for my 1-hr glucose test and monthly check up.

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Good.

Rants/Raves: My cold is gone finally, thank goodness. That was miserable!

    Questions: None.

GTKY:  What’s your favorite thing to cook/have for breakfast (if you’re not pressed for time)? Snoqualmie Falls Oatmeal, with brown sugar, cinnamon, craisins, walnuts, and almond Milk. 😋
  • @gumby22c I need to live where you are. I want rain so bad. Its finally hit the normal summer temps of 105+, after being surprisingly mild through June and July, amd I'm dying.

@mc0303 Schitts Creek is the best!! "Ew, David!" and Moiras pronunciation of baybay are now common phrases in my household 😂

@ABabyMarshall I remember getting that distorted perception of size when I would get sick as an kid. It terrified me then. Sorry your little one is dealing with that :(

    EDD/Weeks + Days:
    November 15- 27+3

Baby is the size of a(n):
TBH I havent even looked this week. MH usually let's me know every day and he hasn't yet 😂

    FTM/STM/TTM+:
    First one for us.

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green:
    Blue

    Upcoming Appointments:
I failed my 3 hour glucose test so I have an appointment for that on Thursday. Then a checkup with my OB next Wednesday.

    How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms):
Not too bad. Cranky about having to watch my diet so much more closely lol

    Rants/Raves:
Its. So. Effing. Hot. We had a freakishly mild June and July (only like 2 days over 100), and so I think August is making up for it now. It's been over 100 every for like a week.

    Questions:
I don't think I have any right now.

GTKY:  What’s your favorite thing to cook/have for breakfast (if you’re not pressed for time)?
We make big breakfasts most weekends, especially now that we're working opposite shifts and weekends are the only time we get to really hang out. MHs favorite is just breakfast bowls- potatoes, eggs, cheese, salsa and sausage. So we make that a lot. But always eggs, no matter what. We have so many eggs (the joy of chickens lol).
  • @angieeeeee I'm in south GA. It's been so hot here as well, but we've finally been getting some rain over the last few days. I know we need it, but today just rained and rained nonstop. I was more annoyed I had to keep going out and driving around in it than anything.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @gumby22c scratch that, I've only been to Georgia once, and while I loved the area I hated the weather lol.
  • EDD/Weeks + Days: 27+ 5 11/14

Baby is the size of a(n): some sort of gourd I’m assuming

    FTM/STM/TTM+: ftm

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green:  it’s a girl!

Upcoming Appointments: tdap boost and check up on Friday

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): so much heartburn. I don’t really want to eat or cook so that’s leading to some poor decisions.

Rants/Raves: my husband picked a car, filled out the majority of the paperwork with the dealer and now we’re just waiting for it to come in. Should be here by the time we update next week! He’s pumped to have a hybrid- he drives SO MUCH- and I’m really happy for him.

    Questions:

GTKY:  What’s your favorite thing to cook/have for breakfast (if you’re not pressed for time)? We live down the street from a bad ass breakfast joint. I love all breakfast! Sweet, savory, whatever. My parents are European so I grew up with full English/Irish breakfast (yes tomatoes forever) and I also love a good muesli or the yogurt/granola combo or even just bread and cheese!
  • @gumby22c I’m in ga too... it’s  been so humid and hot on the non rain days I really struggle to leave the house... even to go to the pool 😂😂😂
  • @cl4157 I know, same! Or if I do make plans to go to the pool or the splash pad with DS after his nap, that's the moment storms roll in and ruin our plans 🤦‍♀️ the humidity really sucks away my energy these days. I can't wait for it to cool off!

Baby is the size of a(n): a baseball glove

    FTM/STM/TTM+: stm

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: pink

Upcoming Appointments: I saw my midwife on Monday and endocrinologist on Tuesday.  I go back to my midwife in three weeks, then every two weeks after that..it’s getting real!  The endo thinks I’ll be able to come off meds postpartum which is exciting, I was really hoping my thyroid wouldn’t be a lifelong issue.

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): I feel good this week other than the typical back pain.  I’ve been cleaning like a crazy person is I’ve been tired by the end of the day.  Craving everything 😂 but mostly tacos!

Rants/Raves: I’m a photographer and work for myself so I purposefully did not schedule any client sessions after this week until one at the end of September, then I am done until Springtime and I cannot waaaaaaiiit!  I’m so giddy to finish editing this week.  Also, I got a call today from my son’s preschool teacher and she seems so nice, I’m really looking forward to him starting his first year in a couple weeks!

GTKY:  What’s your favorite thing to cook/have for breakfast (if you’re not pressed for time)? Frittata in a cast iron skillet with sweet potatoes, mushrooms, asparagus, spinach, ham and cheddar cheese!  It reheats well too for leftovers 👍🏼
  • @rogro118 - Yay a good teacher!  I am so excited, my 2 yo starts her first year of preschool this year and I can't wait until we meet the teachers next friday.

@cl4157 - I so feel you on not wanting to cook.  It is my least favorite past time these days and I don't like it on a good day.  So much delivery and take out....whoops
  • I am late to the party this week.

@angieeeeee 105, ugh! I always hated the 100+ temps in AZ but as they say, at least it was a dry heat - you know, like an oven.  Now I have gotten so acclimated to San Diego that if it is over 77 I think it is sweltering.

@ABabyMarshall I get Alice In Wonderland Syndrome with my migraines sometimes and I remember getting it as a child, it was very disturbing.  For me it felt like time would slow down, people would sound like a tape player low on batteries and I would feel like I was shrinking or growing huge in size.  It is uncomfortable.  My mother assured me that I couldn't just slip away from reality and that really helped.

    EDD/Weeks + Days: 28 weeks, 3 days. Third Trimester!

Baby is the size of a(n): Eggplant 🍆

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green:  not sharing yet

    Upcoming Appointments:  September

    How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms):
In general, been having achy hips, round ligament pain and some pelvic girdle pain. Doc gave me a referral to PT which I need to follow up on.  Still low energy but the higher dose of my thyroid med is helping.  My morning glucose numbers are creeping up again, the placenta is really rambling up those hormones right now.  Oh, and baby decided to sit very high up while I was teaching Tuesday, crowding my diaphragm/lungs, I got out if breath, it was embarrassing.

    Rants/Raves:
sick today, had to cancel lecture which is a PITA as I will have to record the missed lectures, post online, add office hours and set up a virtual chat 😣

I find the kick counts reassuring, so I am glad those have started this week

    Questions:

GTKY:  What’s your favorite thing to cook/have for breakfast (if you’re not pressed for time)?

I love a good Eggs Benedict or Bageland Lox (both iff limits during pregnancy).  Lately I have been enjoying making pancakes or waffles because they make mu son so ridiculously excited ❤
  • @angieeeeee @drama_llama it's reassuring to hear of others that have gone through it, for my son too. I think he thought he was going crazy ☹️ he struggles with anxiety and this rocked him. I've read that migraines, epilepsy and Epstein Barr can happen concurrently with these episodes. He doesn't have epilepsy or get migraines but he had Epstein Barr last year and was so, so sick. Been looking into if that stays in the system at all. Thanks ladies!
  • @ABabyMarshall I wish I had more personal  insight for you, but I never got out of bed when it would happen and never actually bothered telling my grandparents about it so it didn't get looked into further. I do remember it was only when I was really sick- which was pretty common until I got my tonsils out in 8th grade. Poor little guy, I hope you guys can figure somethin out to help him
  • EDD/Weeks + Days: 28 weeks + 1 day (11/13)

Baby is the size of a(n): eggplant

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: blue

Upcoming Appointments: had one today with the other OB in my office and a repeat 1 hour glucose test; next appointments are with the hematologist and my OB in 2 weeks.

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): restless legs are bothering me at night...it doesn't help that that is one of the times baby boy likes to have his dance parties

Rants/Raves: still seething over the head of my firm changing his mind about allowing me to completely work from home after the baby comes... It's  pretty much the only thing in my mind.

    Questions: none right now

GTKY:  What’s your favorite thing to cook/have for breakfast (if you’re not pressed for time)?
I learned to love biscuits and gravy when I briefly lived in the south. I haven't mastered making them exactly perfectly on my own yet.
