I realize not everyone is in a traditional relationship, so either drop a pic of your wedding dress, or something that is a sentimental representation your relationship
I hated my wedding dress, so I will share our reception picture, because that's the people we are.. the fun ones, not the I'm stuck in this dress to please my parents, whens the party I will also share the best picture from our wedding with the way my brother in law (husbands twin) felt about the kissing part hahaha
I loved my dress, but hate photos of it because I feel like none of them do justice for the material and embroidering on the bodice. I saddy don't have any great pictures up close either.
So fun! I absolutely adored my dress and I wore it again for our first anniversary (but with a navy overskirt). I also adored my shoes, despite my mother's protests. My laces were my something blue.
It was a destination wedding. Super small. We played board games at the reception. Then folks stuck arrive and skied with is a few days. Our families at first thought we were crazy but it turned out perfect.
LOVING all of your dresses/wedding photos!! Each one is so beautiful!
My wedding dress was actually my aunt's from her first marriage. I hadn't looked at a single dress yet, she offered it up to me, so I tried it on to make her happy, but ended up loving it!
I loved my dress. No good pic of DH and me or with my veil on though. My sister and I tried convincing our younger sister to let us wear our wedding dresses as MOH dresses for her wedding, sadly she said no. Fun fact all 3 of us have dresses by the same designer, didn’t specifically plan it but we just loved the designer and each found a dress by her.
Funny story about my dress- I was engaged once before DH and I got engaged and I had purchased my dress before we called it off. I asked him if he would be okay still using it for our wedding and he said sure- I did get it altered to make it new (put a corset back in and added a belt).
I got really lucky with my dress and found it at a sample sale. All it needed was to be hemmed - everything else fit perfectly! Our wedding was in early October and ended up being freakishly cold. We saw brief snow flurries and had to take all our outdoor photos quickly so we wouldn't freeze.
Well my dress was from old navy and it's dark blue with white dots lol. I plan to wear it to work if I don't remain pregnant forever (rumor is the baby comes out eventually but I'm starting to suspect fake news).
I was adamant about spending under $500 for my wedding dress, so I went to one store and bought the first dress that I liked that fit my budget. I didn't really think about it until a few weeks before the wedding, when I tried it on and immediately turned to my mom and said, "I look like a baby heading to her christening". But it was too late😆
I still can't get over how lovely everyone is. I'm also really loving seeing people's husbands in some of these photos! Now we can put faces to some of the stories! 😊
I just realized I only have one wedding photo on my phone and it hides us and my dress pretty well. It was taken at my grandmother's headstone (we got married in the church that is in our towns cemetery). I wish I had a better picture of the dress on my wedding day. The seamstress added the most beautiful sleeves to it.
I added a stock photo of the dress and one of our engagement photos to get a better feel of everything. I promise the wedding wasn't as somber as the first image makes it seem.
I loved my dress, but in hindsight, I wish I hadn’t spent so much. It was off white, with lace on the top and plain A-line organza over satin in the bottom.
This was labelled as a "destination wedding" dress so it was lighter and WAY cheaper than most of the other gowns, plus the skirt was this super soft, flowy organza that I just fell in love with.
Soooo... Was I the only knocked up bride? I had to really search to find a dress I liked. Funny enough it was hard to find a maternity wedding dress! I was almost 6 months.
We did a civil ceremony and it was just the two of us plus the photographer. We were nontraditional to say the least! Decided to start trying to have a kid and it may have happened way faster than we thought it would! I guess you never know. Definitely the talk of my husband's conservative Catholic family hehe.
@g_gabs71016 Haha thanks we literally just pulled stuff out of the closet that was nice enough that my mom wouldn't start complaining 🤣🤣🤣 he's actually wearing shorts which I can't blame him for.... we ended up having to wait in line in city hall for an hour to see a judge and it was like 80 degrees without a/c in that hall with like 100 other people easily 😬
Re: GTKY: wedding dress edition
Loved my dress. Here are a couple photos, a few different angles. The back was stunning, but even the front was just so lovely.
I absolutely love your dress! it is gorgeous!
@lilyrheas Even if there's mud, you still look lovely! :-)

None of the ones I have easy access to show great detail of the dress

Our 7th anniversary is in less than a month. Bananas how time flies.

First one shows the back with my flower girl/niece. Second one is one of my best friends glaring out the bottom. Third one is showing my footwear.
This dress was beautiful. I didn’t pick the dress that made my mom cry, but this was perfect for me.

I'm internet shy so going to hide my face here but here's a pic my mom took afterwards, they were our only guests. Real formal lol.
Almost 4 years with this babe!!! We had a super small wedding right before we left the US and I don’t regret a thing.
