  • @italianmommy8 How are you feeling??

I haven't been on this post in a couple of weeks so I have ALOT of catching up to do... but quick update on me. I've been a roller coaster of emotions this week. I just started estrogen patches last Tuesday and I feel bloated AF!!!  Sigh!!  ... Transfer is scheduled for August 16th. I'm going tomorrow for an intralipid IV infusion.  Has anyone ever done this?  I'll be hooked up to an IV for 4 hours getting all kinds of lipid fats or something like that.  Also, has anyone done an endo scratch?  My doctor said we could do that if I wanted to... I'm thinking why not?  Acupuncture starts this Friday.

  • @meggiehibs Yes, I got my results back last week from my ERA.  It showed that I needed an extra day of progesterone... I hope they're right... I don't know that one day is going to make a difference but they're the doctors and nurses and I have to trust that they know what they're doing.  Here's hoping!!

  • Grr, my appointment was exciting and then the call afterward with test results was a disappointment and I’m kicked to the next month. My lining was 12.1, amazing considering last time it was barely 8. But my thyroid jumped up to 5.3 after being 3.3 last month. It needs to get to 2.5. I had already had my dosage upped so don’t know what’s going on there. I messaged my PCP and she said I should retest it but even if it came back lower the RE won’t transfer. Oh well, hope this thyroid thing gets figured out.
  • @kimberlyshae SAAAAME that estrogen is a real b*tch haha. Yay for having a transfer date!!!! You're a few days before me. I can't wait for it to finally be here!! When I was first scheduling my ERA I asked my doctor if it came back that I needed more or less time on the progesterone if I could redo the ERA just to triple check and he said it toootally wouldn't be necessary. He said they are extremely accurate. So hopefully that reassures you a little bit. I think one extra day of the hormones really does make a big difference so yay. I'm excited for you!

@lrynwnab Nooo!!! Ugh I am so sorry!!! What can they do to treat your thyroid issues better??

    @italianmommy8 Thinking of you!!
  • @meggiehibs
Awesome! That does make me feel better!! So, when's your transfer date? Sounds like we'll be in the 2 week hell together.

    @lrynwnab
I'm sorry to hear about your thyroid issues. Any type of setback sucks! I hope they get it figured out soon so that you can jump back in!

  • @kimberlyshae thanks; I’m remaining optimistic; hopefully it’s just a minor setback @meggiehibs thank you, they upped my dosage. I’ll test again in a few weeks. I swear I must have been taking placebos the last month! Very odd. But hopefully just a minor setback.
  • @italianmommy8 WOW you have faint positives at 4dpt before that’s so soon!  I’ve always caved and done the HPT at home too.  Thought this time I’m pretty committed to just wait it out this time.  They tend to make me a little crazy.

YAY @ladyp0tter so excited you got your transfer date!!!

@kimberlyshae, I’ve done an endo scratch before a planned fresh transfer but the transfer ended up getting canceled.  It kinda hurts but isn’t awful basically similar to if you have ever done an endobiopsy.  I haven’t don’t one since,  Basically my RE will do it if you want it done because she doesn’t think it hurts anything but she also doesn’t think the research is good enough to recommend it.  I’ve never heard of the lipid thing.  Sometimes one day of progesterone can make all the difference.  FX for you!

@lrynwnab.  That stinks.  How weird that it jumped that much and they increased your dosage.  I hope it settles down.  I agree with retesting it just doesn’t make logical sense, maybe a mistake in the lab?

No updates for me still just waiting…

  • Hi ladies! Im new to this thread but have been on previous ones from july 2017 FET.  So we had one FET 2 years ago and we now have a beautiful 16 month old boy.  We are starting the process for our second transfer hopefully at the end of August, if not the very beginning of Sept.  i just started lupron shots because the last time around i had a cancelled transfer because OF COURSE my body would choose to do what it was supposed to under normal circumstances and ovulate when it wasnt meant to. So i started lupron shots for the following month to stop ovulation and it has become a part of my protocol. I just started my shots last night and should be doing them for about a week until AF arrives and i can hopefully start my estradiol pills.

I went into this process with much more confidence than the last time since our first time was relatively easy, but my bubble was burst when the dr told us it doesnt necessarily mean our chances are improved. GRR...back to being nervous. I guess we just have to wait and see what happens. Fingers crossed for our second boy! Good luck to all you ladies having a transfer very soon!

  • HI All .. Had my FET yesterday ( my first frozen, my last one was fresh and failed), now sitting back and relaxing for the next few days. Hoping for the best - some cramping that I 2nd guess and worry about but trying to stay relaxed and positive!! Wondering if after FET anyone has relaxed in the sun/gone swimming -not sure if it would mess with my body temp... anyways and my progesterone level today and pregnancy test next Friday.
  • @dreamcometrue2017 do you have your calendar yet? I ask because I did my first injection of Lupron yesterday and my transfer is scheduled for 9/10 so I'm hanging out in the September FET thread.

Maybe your clinic does things in a quicker timeline but if our schedules are similar you're probably going to have your transfer in September. Feel free to hang out in the September thread too if you'd like!

  • @inthewoods23 i didnt receive my schedule yet only because we are waiting on AF which should be here tomorrow or the next day. Then i will have my bloodwork and US probably on day 2 again. It all depends on my progress. Last FET i started monitoring on June 25 and had my transfer on July 13. So everything took about 3 weeks. If we following the same schedule and everything progresses the same my transfer should be right at the end of august or first couple of days in september. But we wont know yet. I follow a non-injection protocol(except the lupron), maybe it changes the timeline a little bit? I remember my retrieval cycle being pretty quick too. Only about a week abd a half of injections then the main event.

  • Hello ladies!!! How exciting to see all this great news @ladyp0tter @italianmommy8 @2MomsHoping and anyone else I didn’t mention!

AFM- I’ve been trying to balance the stress of moving into a new home and my pup who is super anxious and aggressive! In terms of prepping for my transfer- had an appt today- lining looks good- I’m on patches and estrace pills, which was just increased from 2x a day to 3x a day. I’m still on board for my transfer on 8/26.

Wishing everyone Fx on any upcoming appointments!
  • Went in for my lining check last Friday.... 9.9!!! Transfer is this Friday 8/16... Everything crossed but my legs. LOL!!! Can't wait  :)

@Knottie1464178146 Congrats on being PUPO!! I've never gone swimming right after transfer so I don't  know... I just know it's good to keep your body nice and warm. Any symptoms yet?

@2MomsHoping Congrats on getting your transfer date. It will be here before you know it.

@marfi236 Welcome! 5 embryos... Wow! Did you decide to do PGS testing?

@pathomer, congrats on getting your transfer date. Those patches are a bitch! I've put on 10 lbs in 2 weeks. I'm starving all the time! So ready to be done with them.. I go down from 4 to 2 patches tomorrow... Thank goodness!!

  • Does anyone know what the E2 levels should be right before transfer?? I am looking at my results today for bloodwork and trying to figure out what they mean. From last Thursday to yesterday morning my E2 levels went from a little over 400 down to 330 ish. my progesterone dropped a little too. I thought they were supposed to keep going up? I have to go back tomorrow morning, so I guess I will find out then what all that means but thought I would ask all you lovely ladies!

  • @kimberlyshae Fx with your transfer! Sending you sticky vibes....*stick embaby stick*
  • Hi All,
I am scheduled for an FET on Sunday! This is our 2nd FET, our 1st resulted in a chemical pregnancy. We did not do any testing as my doctor did not think it was necessary, I am 33. Believing that this is our time and that the embryo will stick!
  • Wanted to share -after my 5 day FET on 8/8 I had my first beta yesterday and it was positive !!!!! HGC 42 - hoping its a good number. Will have the second one on Monday... wishing everyone luck with their transfers - hoping for lots more positive results.
  • Good luck to all the ladies who had their transfers or scheduled to have one soon!

I havnt had much to update since i started my lupron shots.  I missed the expected day of my period which was Tuesday and i was not happy for once. We had really been hoping to have our transfer right at the end of the month. We werent sure why my period was so delayed this time around, since my first time i responded perfectly to all the meds. My nurse scheduled me for bloodwork and U/S yesterday morning to see if we can go ahead without waiting for my period. Unfortunately, which i was expecting, they told me my period was expected within the next week, which i was NOT happy to hear. So my lining was too thick to proceed. Well i was bummed about that, but this morning i woke up around 5am with bad cramps and sure enough there was AF! So im going in tomorrow morning for another U/S and bloodwork. If my timeline and response to the meds is like my last FET we should hopefully be ready to go by the first few days of september. We are really hoping for a May baby!

  • Congrats on your beta knottie
  • So excited!! Got the call FET is scheduled for 10:30AM tomorrow! I was told to bring a full bladder! That will be hard! At least I don't have to fast, which means I wont be HANGRY! lol. I pray that my embabies thaw and expand perfectly and they can confirm hatching! Our plan includes assisted hatching, so if need be, they should be ready to go. I already know I will be testing early. I am not a patient person, so will likely start at 4 or 5dpt (next Tuesday or Wednesday). I have been preggo 6 times in my life (that I know of) so far, so I am hoping my body just does it's thing and grabs on to those little snowflakes! 1 boy and 1 girl going in.

@waiting4mirac I take both the patch (Wear 1 fpr 3 days..change on the 4th day) but I also take estrodiol pills 3x a day.

AFM: My transfer went great. Both embabies were thawed and hatching but just not fully out of the shell yet. Now the 2ww begins!! The having to pee so bad part was the worst!! While they were pushing on my belly for the U/S.

They called me at 8AM to ask me to come in earlier than my normal 10:30 appointment so I got there at 9:30 and was in there by 10AM. Took only about 10-15 minutes by the time they got me in the stirrup bed.

Afterwards, my DH and I went to eat lunch at our favorite place and then on the way home I made him buy me MCcDonalds French Fries! HA! Then after being home for about an hour he made me a pineapple smoothie with a chunk of the core and some yogurt. Now, I am just Netflixing.

#5 is my Boy and #7 is my girl :-)

  • Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I've been on the boards...long haul over the summer with testing and deliberating as my second cycle was cancelled, and I'm running out of $$$.
Sent the 3 embys for testing (PGS) and miracles...all 3 normal!

FET yesterday, I'm so nervous! I want to start testing myself but they are telling me to wait until 9/4. That feels forever away, LOL!

Also...anyone with tips on how to make the progesterone IM injections less painful? My butt hurts SO much.

  • @minie16 CONGRATS on the 3PGS normals and the Transfer!! Sticky Vibes!! I will start testing at 5dpt tomorrow. I did a cheapie this morning but negative. It tests at 20miu though so not likely to have shown anything. I am going to buy some FRER's on my way home from work today!

as for the PIO...the only thing I do before is ice the spot for a couple of minutes with a cold pack, but its the soreness the day AFTER that hurts for me. BOTH my cheeks are so sore after this now being day 10! I also try like hell to avoid the same spot when I switch back to that side as to not disrupt a bruised area! Running out of room here! haha!
