R/R: Welp, today is ultrasound day to check to see what’s happening egg-wise. Four or fewer, I get to resume ttc, more and I’m benched for month #5 in a row. I’m terrified, but also hopeful. I get on the positivity train, but then I realize how absolutely crushed I’d be if it’s not what I’m expecting, so then I try to prepare for bad news. Ugh, I’m also dreading the possibility that they’ll say I need to check again later and I’ll have to go through all these emotions again in a couple days.
CS/Q: nope! No cm, so it’s looking like a long cycle, and probably no news today. 🤷🏻♀️
Good morning! ☀️

R/R: It was a tough weekend. I thought I was doing ok after getting a BFN but the last few nights I have been crying a lot. Probably because it's hard to think of anything else when I am trying to fall asleep. TW loss/LC/illness
Besides our ttc difficulties, I am also trying to process some scary news about my dad's health.
I know I sound like a Debbie Downer but I will be fine. I am looking forward to seeing my RE this week to regroup and move on. 💚
CS/Q: Nothing to see. I'll start temping again once AF goes away.
Good Morning!
@begging4abump good luck today! I'm hoping you get off the bench!
@emeraldduchess I'm sorry everything is hitting you all at once. It sucks. Facing a would be due date is hard, especially with everything else added on top. I'm just a PM away if you need to vent any more.

R/R: we cleaned the heck out of our house for friends coming over. And now DH is like, I like when the rooms are clean, it looks more minimalistic. Like ok, will you now help keep this house clean? Damn.
The weekend bathroom project is a good bit done. Need to edge the paint, then eventually put the wood planks, but the bathroom looks so much more up to date now that it's not pastel green and purple. We bought some blue paint for the walls around the shower and after having it on the wall decided we hated it. So we've changed it to a green that's also in our kitchen. I'll post a pic once we clean up the paint. Let's just hope we don't leave ourselves in an unfinished state. All that's left is finishing paint, wood planks, and changing the outlet and light switches to what we have in the rest of the house. The wood planks will take time, but I think we can finish it!

R/R:-A more laid-back (low-pressure) approach, so no charting or temping.
-No contraception, sperm-friendly lubricant, staying healthy in general (working out, hiking, eating healthier), pre-natal vitamins, avoiding unnecessary chemicals/nasties in environment/food/pharms.
-Eating healthier. I've been adding in lots of extra fruits, vegetables (particularly greens and cruciferous ones), hemp hearts, sesame seeds, cacao powder, and olive/avocado oils. Trying to stop boredom snacking!
-Maintaining a low caffeine intake. No alcohol (no biggie because I'm not a coffee or alcohol drinker).
-Keeping a TTC journal. I slacked my last cycle, but I may pick this one back up.
Rant: This heat wave is killing me! I have been having classic migraines (with aura) again recently, so I am even more sensitive to heat than usual. I almost passed out just walking through a parking lot to the grocery store on Friday! This week is supposed to be even more brutal than the last!
Rave: The hubby and I fit in multiple hikes this weekend (in the early mornings), and I got to cross some wildflowers and other things off of my bucketlist, including this Orange-fringed Orchid (Platanthera ciliaris)(yep, this is my photo):

R/R: Had a wonderful weekend, actually did exactly what we planned...which was not much! We hiked Saturday (weather was quite nice since we went early and the dogs loved it), and I binge watched the final season of Jane the rest of the weekend! Bittersweet that it’s over, but it was so good! We rarely get a totally lazy weekend, so it was so nice to recharge! I’m optimistic about our 1st RE appt. on Thursday...we are so ready to get some answers!

@begging4abump good luck at your U/S, I hope you get good news and will officially be off the bench!!
@emeraldduchess I’m so sorry for everything you are going through right now! You are not a Debbie Downer, your feelings are totally valid! I hope you have a good appt. with your RE this week and can get a good plan going forward!
@millpe ah, it always feels nice getting home after being away! Hope the coffee helps and you have a good Monday!!
@inthewoods23 glad you got the house all cleaned and the bathroom project is going well! Haha, we had a similar issue with a color that we liked in the store and then hated it when we got it home and put some on the wall! Hope you had a good time with your friends!
@flowntheloop sorry the heat is causing your migraines (or at least making them worse)! That’s great you and YH got some hikes in this weekend...that picture is beautiful!!
@jrouge12 hope you have a good trip!
@ttcbabyodo glad you had a good weekend!! Your timing sounds pretty good, but I understand wanting more. Can you get one last hoorah in tonight, or is duty overnight?
@gingermama29 that’s great you got to break in the fire pit last night! Evenings by a fire are so nice, I’m sure you will get lots of enjoyment out of it this Fall!!

I leave tomorrow and while it’s been nice I’m definitely looking forward to my own bed/routine and to see DH! I started getting a scant amount of EWCM but that doesn’t mean much for me- will still be a few (or at least two if I O as early as last cycle) weeks before O.
CS/Q: I’ve been inserting a screen shot of my chart. Is there a better way to do it?
@bluetickgal Sounds like a great weekend to me! Good luck at your RE appointment and keep us updated!
I don't think the heat is necessarily causing the migraines, but they are definitely exacerbated by it (dehydration on my part isn't helpful either). And thank you for the compliment!
@rachelg777 That first night back in your own bed is the best! Soak up every moment! I hope your O isn't too far away!
As for the orchid I posted, it is rather rare in most areas, but it is abundant in some ecological niches (if you know where to look). This was at a protected site. Humans are destroying/influencing the habitats of many native species, so beauties like this are becoming less and less common.

Yesterday (Sunday) I counted as CD1 but it was so light that I only saw it when wiping. In the past I've been counting day 1 as the first day after I start spotting, but that's been leaving me with a 10-11 day LP so maybe it's really not until the second day after I start spotting, which is usually when I need to put my cup in. Any thoughts?

@flowntheloop thank you, I’ll update for sure! Ah, that makes sense about the migraines. Do you get them in clusters? Hopefully you won’t have anymore for a while! I get them randomly, but have never been able to figure out what triggers them...although I only get them 2-3 times a year luckily.
@ttcbabyodo ah, bummer! Hopefully he’ll be feeling frisky and will be up for some mid-week HIO tomorrow!
@misshelen86 thank you, I’ll definitely update! So glad you had a good weekend!!
@catem07 yay for a new house, hope the move isn’t too bad! I’ve had some major confusion about CD1 in the past, and my doctor is adamant that it is the first day of “full flow” requiring a pad or tampon. So, if it’s just when you wipe or even a couple drops on a pantyliner, I wouldn’t count it as CD1 yet. Some things online say when it’s red is when you would count it as CD1, but that goes against what my doctor said...so I go with the full flow rule. There are some conflicting thoughts on that, and I still get confused sometimes whether I’m spotting or if it’s light flow (which is frustrating because I take meds on certain days of my cycle). Not sure if that helps or just made it more confusing! Are you tracking O by temping and/or OPK’s? I think that’s the only way you can accurately calculate LP.
@shamrocandroll hope your training goes well today! Glad your visit from your MIL wasn’t too bad, but that stinks she even made one comment! Yay for O finally happening!!

@begging4abump - Best of luck with the ultrasound! Fingers crossed you get great news!
@emeraldduchess - I was thinking of you this weekend! I'm so sorry you've had a tough few days, and about the family health issues on top of everything. I'm glad you're getting in to the RE this week to regroup and hopefully come up with a great path forward!!
@millpe - hope you're having some delicious coffee! That's so nice to finally be home after almost a week!

@flowntheloop - that sounds like a great weekend even tho it was crazy hot! That's an amazing photo.

@catem07 - agree with others...CD1 is the first day of real flow rather than spotting.

WAYDTGKU: this month, just prenatals, acupuncture and will just observe whatever CM is totally obvious if you catch my drift. Taking a break from OPKs.
R/R: Our weekend ended up really nice after some grumpiness Saturday! SO (who works in theater and theater education mostly as a director/teacher but also sometimes acts) acted in a staged reading Saturday night and he was awesome! It seriously lifted my mood. Sunday was chilled out and so far I am really loving my break from tracking everything for this month, it makes sense to me b/c in about a month (9/6) we go to see the doctor for SA, etc. (That's the soonest we could get in!) I'm sure Ovia is wondering why I'm not logging every mood or twinge I have but she's gonna have to deal.
CS/Q: nope
@catem07 sounds good. I actually read your original post wrong and thought you were somehow calculating luteal phase of one cycle based on AF of the same cycle...I couldn’t figure out how that was happening unless you just knew the total length of your cycle and you were cutting it in half or something. Clearly I need to read things more carefully, because I understand what you meant completely after re-reading! Sorry about that!
@gingermama29 thank you!!
@whitealbum29 thanks!! I’m glad you had a good weekend and the lower-pressure approach is going well for you!
@millpe thank you. Welcome home! I hope the coffee was strong today.
@whitealbum29 glad you had a nice weekend! That's cool that your DH works in theater/theater education. I ran the drama program at the school where I teach for three years, so lots of respect to him for that! It's rewarding but also crazy stressful!
@m6agua sorry about the lousy sleep patterns. I hope that tonight is better!
@flowntheloop that's a beautiful photo!

@inthewoods23 That feeling of having a nice, clean house is so great. It makes me want to keep it like that forever, but MH is ALWAYS the one to mess it up. Ugh.
@flowntheloop So sorry to hear about your migraines! That photo is incredible!!!
@jrouge12 Good luck trip prepping and cabinet priming!
@ttcbabyodo Yay for feeling loved! Maybe O will be tomorrow and you can get one more in. My + OPK is usually the day before O.
@gingermama29 Jealous of your fire pit! We need to build a new one. Ours is falling apart.

@rachelg777 Screenshots are what most people do I think, I know you can get a link to share as well. I have one in my siggy, but not everyone can access it if they have restrictions on say their work internet.
@misshelen86 Glad the weekend was fun, even if plans changed.
@catem07 That is tough, I used to have spotting with a pretty light and short period and I never knew what day to call it on. Sorry I am no help. Exciting news about the house though!
@shamrocandroll I hope your training is going well! Also, I can't see your chart and waking up at 4 am when you don't need to sucks!
@whitealbum29 That sounds like fun! I love watching theater productions. I'm glad you are doing well with the break from tracking!

TTC#2 April 2019@m6agua yep, Jane the Virgin!! It has been my guilty pleasure for the past several months! I love it!! Oh, you’ll have to tell me how you like the ending once you watch it!
@emeraldduchess I’m so sorry for the tough milestone approaching. I wish I had something consoling to tell you, but I’m also in Debbie downer mode, and want to throw things. All your feelings are valid and so much of this crap is just not fair. Really hoping things turn around soon!
@shamrocandroll hooray for o finally!! I never lost hope for you. 🙂
@bluetickgal I hope your appointment goes well this week!!
@whitealbum29 I’m so glad to hear that your weekend turned around!!
@m6agua I hope your sleep improves soon!
@flowntheloop that flower is gorgeous!
@ttcbabyodo sorry about the timing of your overnight duty, but you’ve definitely got a solid shot this month!
@inthewoods23 keep those renovation updates coming! Sorry about the color not working out. I’m terrible with choosing paint colors.
@gingermama29 I hope you get more use out of that fire pit soon!
@millpe I hope your temping is on point this cycle!
@rachelg777 I’m glad your extended weekend has been relaxing! I hope you have a smooth transition back to normal life.

@gingermama29; @bluetickgal; Thank you!
@whitealbum29 Well I'll make it fun! Off on a weeklong, multi state road trip seeing family! How does the acupuncture work? I know it's covered by my insurance and I have several colleagues who go for various reasons.
@emeraldduchess Our main stops are in PA and VA. We're off to see family!
@shamrocandroll Thanks! DH did a good job with the priming! 😅 Of course I've had the tough job meal planning around a almost out of order kitchen!
@bluetickgal I usually only get migraines a couple of times a year, so I though this week was pretty unusual. I guess I just overdid it in the heat? I have no idea. I have noticed that they can be triggered by certain foods: raw onions, dairy products (which I'm allergic to anyway) and raw radishes especially.
@whitealbum29 Unfortunately, it is supposed to be even hotter today. We have an active heat advisory!
@emeraldduchess Thank you!
@shamrocandroll Awww thanks!
@m6agua I'm glad you like it!
@begging4abump I'm so sorry about your appointment. I'd definitely have a word with them in the future about all of this! You must be so frustrated right now.

@flowntheloop hopefully you won’t have any more for a while then! That’s good you at least know some of the triggers and can try to avoid them.
