    Team: finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): brussel sprout

Upcoming appts: 8/15 for NT scan, bloodwork, regular OB appt

    How are you feeling?: good!

Rants/Raves: Rave: We told our families and close friends this week and their reactions (except MIL) have been great! Rant: Found out I have to move my office to a much smaller space in the school, not sure how that will work.

    Questions:

GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story behind it? Our first dance was Adele’s version of “To Make You Feel My Love”. I wanted a traditional dance song and also love Billy Joel (who has a version of this) but H wanted something different. He found this version before it was popular (2012) and it was perfect.
  • @leksiL it was my daddy/daughter dance too!

  • EDD/W+D: 11

Upcoming appts: Blood tests on Thursday.

How are you feeling?: Really good.

Rants/Raves: I'm getting a fat clavicle lol. Yuck.

GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story behind it? No song. We had a destination wedding, so no big reception with various dances for us.
  • @leksiL @ibabyloveb87 that is so sweet!! We never had Daddy/Daughter dances 😓

The rubik's cube is actually right from The Bump! It's crazy how different the range in size can be depending on the app you're using.

  • @malloryfrommn haha the bump told me that told baby is size of a hard boiled egg and I am 1 day behind you. Baby’s got to grow a lot tonight! 😂

Do you know how you got the “you’re 12 weeks & 2 days pregnant” message to show up under the daily fact? I like that but it doesn’t show on mine.
  • @nhh11 I have no idea how that showed up! I thought everyone had it. Maybe it's a setting?
  • @TennisLove30 I love Ray LaMontagne! It’s not “our song,” but our first dance at our wedding was “You Are the Best Thing.”
  • EDD/W+D: Feb. 21/ 11w4d

    Team: healthy baby

Baby is the size of a(n): poker chip

Upcoming appts: 9/6 at 16 weeks. No ultrasound though until 20 weeks.

How are you feeling?: much better now that the morning sickness has gone away

Rants/Raves: did i mention morning sickness went away lol- RAVE

Questions: has anyone started showing yet?

GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story behind it? My best friend-Tim McGraw was our first dance. It fits us perfectly.
  • @cari1414 ahhh love some Tim McGraw. And yes I’m absolutely showing (STM)

  • @kjeepers87, the NT scan IS an ultrasound. Also, jealous you have AC in your school. We only have in in the library, computer lab, main office, and nurse’s office.
  • @cari1414 @babyloveb87 add me to the showing team (STM). I broke out the belly band today (and so happy because it is so much more comfortable!!!)

  • @jvk2012 I realized that after I posted it. 😂 I'm working on finishing my final project for my Masters degree and it's got me delirious.
  • Found out yesterday that because we haven't hit our deductible, the MaterniT21 test is not covered at all. Such crap especially considering my GERIATRIC pregnancy. That's what's written on all of my dr documents in big bold letters. GERIATRIC lol.
    Insurance is such a racket.

Oh that sucks!! Can you try any other tests? I did Informaseeq and I believe it was covered because of my age (my doctor acted like it was but now that I think of it I should check).
  • @leksiL hope your NT scan goes well. Just got back from mine! We got about a 20 minute look at baby  <3

  • @Swiftlet I’m not carrying twins but I wasn’t just talking to a friend about how I feel like my body is in a transitional phase, too. I don’t think I’m ready for maternity stuff just yet but my pants are too tight! I am going to go shopping this weekend. I’ll let you know if I learn any good tips!:)
  • @nhh11 I just ordered some maternity scrub pants for work because even with the elastic waist, it's getting snug  :# I also got some loose tank tops and dresses from Old Navy last week (2 of each) just for comfortable summer/early fall (which is still pretty hot around here). The maternity jean shorts I got from Loft are great! The tops are fine but they just look baggy right now. The tough part is I'm pretty petite (5'0) and it's tough to find clothes that aren't totally out of proportion. Let me know how it goes for you!

I’m short too! Thanks for the recs! I have a friend who’s 22 weeks now and she loves loft maternity so I’ll definitely check them out. And I definitely love the price tag at old navy so I’ll add it to the list :)

@Swiftlet I’m 4’10” (average build, slightly on the chubbier side) and I found pants that fit well from Motherhood.

ETA- and most of my maternity shirts are from Old Navy.
