    Team: finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): jalapeno

    Upcoming appts: Aug 13th

How are you feeling?: Back to normal!

Rants/Raves: Rave: My best friends parents have a beautiful pool so we both took the day off and are doing a pool day with out girls who are both best friends also. It is supposed to be 95° so today is the perfect day to lounge around poolside.

    Questions:

GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story behind it? We always joke that it is Golddigger by Kanye West. It was the first song we danced to at a house party the first night we hung out one million years ago. His song for me is Brown Eyed Girl.

Baby is the size of a(n): magic 8 ball

Upcoming appts: August 12 with my ob

How are you feeling?: Really good, though I am also on team pregnancy insomnia. I just started taking something when I inevitably wake up to pee.

Rants/Raves: We went camping over the long weekend and it was so nice to get out of town. I am also glad that we waited until I had more energy again so I could do all the hiking that everyone else was. I paid for it with crazy blisters and sore hips, but it was so worth it.

    Questions:

GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story behind it? We don't really have a song. For our first dance at our wedding we danced to Ruelle's I Get to Love You because I had heard it on DWTS earlier that year and loved the message about love being a choice. Ever since then, whenever I hear it I think of my husband.
  • @sbalkw91, Have you told your husband’s sibling that you are pregnant? If not, I would tell them in a quiet private way. Maybe even a text or phone call. As someone who dealt with IF, trying to keep a happy face during public announcements was more than I could bear. They may react in a variety of ways but know that if they withdraw it’s about them and not that they aren’t happy for you.
  • @sbalkw91 my brother and sister in law have been trying for about 8 years. This will be my 4th baby. Every time has been really hard to tell them and I usually just send them a quick text instead of announcing face to face. That way they don’t have to pretend to have feelings they may not have right away. Eventually, they are very excited but it takes a little bit. When we were struggling with infertility, it was hard for us too. Just be gentle and understanding of their situation.
  • @jvk2012 @kmj1426 we have told them already and I know that they are happy for us, and I’m definitely not trying to complain. My heart just hurts for them and I don’t want to say anything to hurt their feelings or upset them. And we’re all going on vacation next week and I’m just worried things will be awkward. I know that things will be ok, it’s just a weird situation that’s been on my mind a lot this week.
  • EDD/W+D: 14 weeks. 2nd Trimester!!

    Team: Blue

Baby is the size of a(n): Peach

    Upcoming appts: August 29th

How are you feeling?: a little better. I’m still tired and struggling with gagging while brushing my teeth. But otherwise I’m feeling pretty good.

Rants/Raves: work keeps getting in the way of my online browsing and BMB catchups.

    Questions: none today

GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story behind it? Nothin’ On You by BoB and Bruno Mars. My husband played it for me when we were dating and said it reminded him of us. I still think of that moment when I hear it and it brings back the new relationship butterflies.
