How are you feeling?: Good! RLP has returned this morning. I can feel it on the lower right.
Rants/Raves: Rave....I’ve slept really well the last 2 nights! Woohoo!
Rant: I don’t feel like working. I just want it to be Thursday.
Questions: I got nothing.
GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story behind it? We don’t really have a song! Choosing a first dance was hard because of this. But we danced to Can You Feel the Love Tonight and it was great. Our band did a fabulous job learning it and performing it as a special request.

Team: finding out SOON! We had our NIPT blood draw last week, and should find out late this week or early next week!
Baby is the size of a(n): as tall as a rubik's cube.
Upcoming appts: 8/29
How are you feeling?: I don't want to jinx myself, but nausea seems to be slooooowly improving. Like compared to week 6 and 7 it's not AS bad, but still there. Hoping this trend continues!
Rants/Raves: still over the moon that we got to see baby wiggle around on ultrasound last week. After a loss earlier this year, I've been guarding my heart and trying not to get too attached. I'm just now beginning to feel like we really are going to have a baby in February, which is such a crazy feeling!
Questions: none at the moment.
GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story behind it? We don't really have one? We didn't even have a first dance. I walked down the aisle to Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" and always think of my husband when I hear it, so I guess that is our song.
Upcoming appts: 8/15 for NT scan, bloodwork, regular OB appt
How are you feeling?: good!
Rants/Raves: Rave: We told our families and close friends this week and their reactions (except MIL) have been great! Rant: Found out I have to move my office to a much smaller space in the school, not sure how that will work.
Questions:
GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story behind it? Our first dance was Adele’s version of “To Make You Feel My Love”. I wanted a traditional dance song and also love Billy Joel (who has a version of this) but H wanted something different. He found this version before it was popular (2012) and it was perfect.
Upcoming appts: We have the level 1 ultrasound NT scan
on Thursday.
How are you feeling?: Starting to feel much better – have
had headaches for the past few days but able to eat again.
Rants/Raves: It is hard being at work after being on vacation.
DD was not excited to go back to school this morning either.
Rave: We got DD’s big girl bed set up in her
room yesterday (we were using it as a guest bed previously) so now the guest
bedroom is all ready for us to start working on it this fall! It is currently
bright yellow so the first thing to do is paint it. Hopefully we do not paint
it grey or blue like every other room in our house 😊
Questions: Is everyone starting to feel better?
GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story
behind it? We do not have a song. Our wedding song was “Forever” by Ben
Harper but there was no story. We have diametrically opposite tastes in music,
except we do both like 90s grunge/alternative.
@ibabyloveb87 I am so jealous that you have been able to sleep!
I am unable to sleep every night – yuck. Can you feel the love tonight is one
of DD’s favorite songs since she is OBSESSED with the Lion King. We were
belting it out yesterday together!
@malloryfrommn I hadn’t heard the rubik’s cube one yet…I
feel like these different apps all have different ideas of sizes – like my baby
is simultaneously the size of an apricot and a little army guy? Those aren’t
even close to the same size! I love What a Wonderful World, that was my Daddy/Daughter
dance!

Rants/Raves: I'm getting a fat clavicle lol. Yuck.
GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story behind it? No song. We had a destination wedding, so no big reception with various dances for us.
Rants/Raves: huge rave- we got some genetic test results back today and all was good! Never felt more relieved in my entire life. And so happy to hear it’s a boy, but I would’ve been happy either way
Questions: none but I hope everyone’s starting to feel better!
GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story behind it? We don’t have one but we love all country music
Team: Finding out! Not sure what kind of testing I'm getting tomorrow so not sure if I'll find out gender sooner or later. My insurance doesn't cover it for solely finding out the gender but will if other testing is required. None of it makes sense to me. I'll see what they say tomorrow!
Baby is the size of a(n): Plum
Upcoming appts: Tomorrow!!! NT scan at the very least so hopefully another US.
How are you feeling?: Better. Still hurling occasionally but I'm less tired. Starting to feel more like myself.
Rants/Raves: Excited for my appt tomorrow. Not excited to spend all day in meetings in a school with no AC. To clarify, we have AC, they just won't turn it on until Back to School Night.
Questions: Anyone else pee their pants damn near every time they throw up? Or is that just me? TMI, I know. lol.
GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story behind it? We don't really have a song and our music tastes are SO different.
@kjeepers87, the NT scan IS an ultrasound. Also, jealous you have AC in your school. We only have in in the library, computer lab, main office, and nurse’s office.
Found out yesterday that because we haven't hit our deductible, the MaterniT21 test is not covered at all. Such crap especially considering my GERIATRIC pregnancy. That's what's written on all of my dr documents in big bold letters. GERIATRIC lol. Insurance is such a racket.

Oh that sucks!! Can you try any other tests? I did Informaseeq and I believe it was covered because of my age (my doctor acted like it was but now that I think of it I should check).
Team: finding out, although with there being two I'm not sure we'll know for sure until 20 weeks as only one blood test says it can differentiate and I dunno if that's the one my doctor will use.
Baby is the size of a(n): lime
Upcoming appts: next Wednesday is my NIPT/specialist appt to determine type of twins.
How are you feeling?: some break through nausea, still taking my zofran. TONS of weird dreams every single night.
Rants/Raves: most of my clothes no longer fit. I got some maternity stuff but it looks big. Feeling really out of sorts about my body changing so quickly.
GTKY: What is “your song” with your SO? What is the story behind it? We joke that it's "Down with the Sickness" by Disturbed. We have very different tastes in music so no real song that is ours but our first dance was "Grow Old with You" by Adam Sandler because I couldn't decide on an actual song, haha.
@Swiftlet I’m not carrying twins but I wasn’t just talking to a friend about how I feel like my body is in a transitional phase, too. I don’t think I’m ready for maternity stuff just yet but my pants are too tight! I am going to go shopping this weekend. I’ll let you know if I learn any good tips!:)
@nhh11 I just ordered some maternity scrub pants for work because even with the elastic waist, it's getting snug I also got some loose tank tops and dresses from Old Navy last week (2 of each) just for comfortable summer/early fall (which is still pretty hot around here). The maternity jean shorts I got from Loft are great! The tops are fine but they just look baggy right now. The tough part is I'm pretty petite (5'0) and it's tough to find clothes that aren't totally out of proportion. Let me know how it goes for you!

I’m short too! Thanks for the recs! I have a friend who’s 22 weeks now and she loves loft maternity so I’ll definitely check them out. And I definitely love the price tag at old navy so I’ll add it to the list
@ibabyloveb87 thanks! It was great - took about 30 mins. My daughter was a peach even though we had to wait in the waiting room for an HOUR beforehand. The sonographer was very flustered and said she had a terrible day due to a prior scan and was very apologetic and thanked me for having a "good" baby. I was annoyed at first on the wait and then was just thankful I was not the person that had the terrible scan.

The rubik's cube is actually right from The Bump! It's crazy how different the range in size can be depending on the app you're using.
