    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 1/22, 15w1d

    Size of babies: eggo waffles

Upcoming Appointments: August 22nd with midwife. Mfm tbd

How are you feeling?: meat aversion is in full swing. I can’t look at raw chicken without wanting to gag. I’ve been getting muscle cramps in my calves and still having some lightning boob, now in my right one.

Concerns/Rants/Raves: Really wanting to start working on the nursery. We have to move Ds into the current guest room, so making a decision on his bed situation needs to happen soon.

Questions?: What are you guys doing as far as gear? Swings? Bouncers? Both? What are you going to have them sleep in? I used a boppy pillow with ds for tummy time and just lounging in general but now they have the boppy loungers, so that’s an option too. I’m so undecided but want to start looking at things.

  • @kbrown2385 i have a bouncer and a jumperoo already and will get an additional bouncer. We also have a jungle play mat which we used for tummy time.
Sleeping, im really unsure about. We have a snuzpod ( https://www.snuz.co.uk/snuzpod3-bedside-crib/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjMb6-93h4wIVg7HtCh1KLQkuEAAYASAAEgIVl_D_BwE#)  from dd, we loved and was going to get a second one but people have said about keeping them together and it wouldnt be suitable for both of them for very long. We dont have room atm in our room to bring the full sized cot in with us so i'm kinda at a loss atm on what to do & will be interested in what anyone else is planning to do!

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 8th January / 17+1

    Size of babies: pomegranate

Upcoming Appointments: tuesday for endocrine clinic, then 21st for anomaly scan

How are you feeling?: mostly ok, zonked by 5pm but other than that no real complaints.

Concerns/Rants/Raves: oh actually i have a complaint, im getting really pissed off with stupid spots that keep appearing on my chin! like visible from space size spots. as soon as i think theyre on the way out, another one appears!

Questions?: see above - what will you do about sleeping arrangements?

@leprechaunlady we have a pack n play we will probably end up using. Idk if they have something equivalent over there (if you do tell me to shut up 😆). The sleeping area is adjustable so it can be raised for infants. It should be big enough for a good amount of time for both of them. Pic in spoiler to give you an idea. I’m still considering getting a bassinet. I’ve seen a couple made specifically for twins but idk if I want to spend so much for such a short amount of time.

The sleeping and the gear has been the biggest questions for me! As a FTM I KNOW I need to start looking, but I'm afraid of being overwhelmed so I keep putting it off. We do have room for a twin bassinet in our room right now, but I'm not sure what to do and I don't want to spend that much money either. That pack and play definitely looks like a great option too.

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 01/23/ 15w

    Size of babies: Oranges!

Upcoming Appointments: August 13th at MFM and August 14th at OB (I know- duplicative)

How are you feeling?: Generally okay. My appetite has definitely returned. I'm fatigued and getting some headaches due to heat, but I feel good.

Concerns/Rants/Raves: I'm with you both on the nursery. I want to start working on it and I'm getting anxious, but I also kind of want to wait until I know the genders.

Questions?: These are my first so of course the family wants to throw me a baby shower. I'm thinking Thanksgiving weekend at end of November. Do you guys think that's too close to EDD? I know with 2 I may go early, but is 8 weeks before due date cutting it too close? That weekend is just so convenient because so many people will be in town.
  • @kbrown2385 we have those here but call them a travel cot. We have one that we bought for evins mums house for dd but it doesnt have the raised level which would be good! Definitely something to look into, thanks!

@amb0924 I dont think its too early. If it suits cause everyone will be in town & also you want to be able to enjoy it before youre too tired & big! My obs consultant said 50% of twins come before 37 weeks so there is a chance you could be in that 50% (we all could) & you’ll need your shower gifts!
  • @amb0924 if it works for everyone, I would just go ahead and do it that weekend. It honestly makes the most sense instead of trying to get everyone to come in for two trips. I’m sure it will be just fine.
  • **lurking**

Hi ladies. Lurker from F19. My oldest boys are twins and we found that letting them sleep in the same crib (one at each end) when they first came home was the best way to get them to sleep. I guess they weren't ready to be apart! Then we moved them to side by side cribs. Had many mornings listening to baby babble as they "talked" to each other. I guess they've always been each other's best comfort.
  • thank you @bellebaby221
Did you have them sleep in your room when you first came home from hospital or in the nursery?

They were in the room right next door because we didn't have room in our bedroom for 2 bassinets. DH brought them to me to nurse because I had a c/s.
