Re: TFAS w/o 7/22

  • @tyrion_ That's awful.  I'm sorry!  As if AF doesn't suck enough as it is.

@tyrion_ I'm sorry that AF is being terrible.

@shamrocandroll I know! They are growing so fast. I just got a letter from our daycare about 3 year old pre-school they do and DD will be in. :'(

@kpearse99 Thank you! Our journey's may be different, but one thing I've learned along the way is that the emotions behind it all are the same and it is what unites us with others. <3

  • @m6agua How do you and/or your doctor anticipate your body will do while pregnant? Sorry if I’ve missed you explain this somewhere before.
  • @tyrion_ goodness, No! I hope you are feeling okay now! That is so scary.
@kpearse99 Love the photo! @m6agua What she said! I hope you feel better soon!

@kpearse99 thank you! Seeing her give me all of the warm and fuzzy feelings for sure. Also thank you for popping in to wto yesterday to wish me luck at my reviewb

@mercury94 yessss I would totally take that as a sign too. Baby girls are awesome too! (I somehow didn’t fully believe that until I had one and now I’d love another.)

@m6agua I think your plan sounds perfect. I’m so glad to hear that what you are doing is helping and you feel like yourself again!

@tyrion_ I was like that when I was younger with AF. I never actually passed out but my cramps took me totally out of commission. I grew out of it thankfully but still get a little shaky by the end of AF. I’ve had an iron infusion before too which got me back on track for awhile. I hope you are feeling better today.
  • @tyrion_ I'm sorry that AF is such an extra b**ch for you. I can't imagine passing out from it 😱
  • @bows22 so how did the review go?!?!

  • @bows22 look at you girl!!!  Good for you for coming back with a counter offer.  As long as you have the proof to back up your suggestion it would be hard for them to decline it.  And it's always good to go higher than what you really expect so that you can meet in the middle somewhere.  I get nervous when it comes to talking about or asking for raises, and all of that, so I get where you're coming from!

@tyrion_ That isn't a super easy question to answer. I guess he hasn't really talked about my body through pregnancy and has just talked about outcomes for a baby and getting my body perfect to house a baby in the most perfect way (not his words, but the idea of it is). The current doctor I'm seeing for this functional medicine (FM) stuff is a Doctor of Chiropractic. My PCP thinks everything will be fine, especially since every time she tests my blood, everything comes back "normal". The FM practitioners have a different mindset on the body.

When I was pregnant with my LC I actually felt really great and that was how my body was meant to be. It wasn't until after when things started going down hill and over the last 3 years I've sort of pieced the puzzle together to figure out why and to prepare for the next time. I think with the changes I've made and continuing some of them throughout a future pregnancy will help a ton. I think my body will probably handle pregnancy fine, I'm just a little worried about the postpartum.

    @kpearse99 I love that!

thank you so much guys! @m6agua I’m in public accounting. It was just my annual review. We don’t have titles (which is odd for our industry) so our levels aren’t clearly defined. My step back was cutting some hours and responsibilities, the hours part happened but the responsibilities really didn’t.
  • @bows22 Glad everything went well!
  • @bows22 glad they at least met you in the middle and your boss had to bend a bit!

How many of your little ones are actively asking for a sibling? I thought it would be fun to ask DS1 the other day if he would like a little brother or sister, and he said "ummm no, I have *DS2* already and he's the baby". lol such a no nonsense response from these kids.
  • @mamaqdubu I’m pretty sure DS is still too young to really get it. But, DH asked if he wanted a brother or sister and he said “no.” He does say no to lost questions, though, so I’m not really sure that he has an opinion on it.

    BabyFruit Ticker
  • @kpearse99 that is so sweet that he says he wants to be a big brother!!

@Kathryn0903 DS2 is still too young as well, but I have given him a babydoll before and he puts the baby to "bed" and gives him a binky which is just precious!
  • @Kathryn0903 and @mamaqdubu DS oogles and drools over every single baby he passes!!  I think he has baby fever more than I do! haha He sees a baby, goos and gaaahs at it and then says to me "I just can't wait for my baby to get here!"  (That's what he calls his future sibling!)

  • @mamaqdubu DS is still to small to ask, but I have asked him if he wanted one (not that he would know the difference) lol and he says yes. My sister did tag me on one of those silly facebook things that says if your kiddo is looking down between his legs that he is looking for a sibling, and he does that sometimes.🤷🏼‍♀️ He is super obsessed with other kids and babies when we see them though, but that might be because i am a SAHM mostly and he rarely sees other children. lol
  • Ugh this is a sensitive topic for me, but short answer is yes, DS would love a sibling, and my imagined age difference is pretty much out the window at this point.

  • Yeah @kpearse99 it's hard to let go of the family you imagined rather than the one you've got. I definitely feel you there. I am trying to remind myself more than anything (:
  • @shamrocandroll I also have siblings who are 12 and seven years younger than me! I love them so so much. My 18 year old brother is my husbands helper at work and we’re all very close. And it was wonderful being old enough to really remember them growing up and being a huge part of that. Even if it isn’t ideal, it will be wonderful. ♥️ Hugs

@kpearse99 @shamrocandroll @jennifer_louise @mercury94 so many hugs to you guys. I also am struggling to accept the fact that I don’t get to choose what our family looks like. But I feel so lucky to have you guys to lean on❤️
