I am a creative director and luckily my job doesn't require a lot of talking to clients since we have liaisons that deal with all the customer service and communication with clients. Today I had to call a client because she was being difficult and needed to talk to the person in charge of creative. This lady was YELLING at me and kept interrupting while I was trying to explain things simply. She doesn't understand that we advertise digitally and she only knew print because she's way older. It was like talking to a brick wall. She kept saying she is a graphic designer and blah blah blah. My heart is still racing. I wasn't made for customer service for a reason. lol. I got so sassy with her and then at the end when I think she finally got it she made a joke. I didn't laugh. You ruined my day, lady lol.
I woke up with a wicked craving for Olive Garden Alfredo. Figured I would make it healthy by adding chicken & broccoli. And of course chicken gnocchi soup yum! I asked for extra Alfredo sauce because it soaks in so much.
The Alfredo sauce was watery AF and had zero flavor! It was like they didn’t strain the noodles or broccoli and just threw it together. Even the chicken gnocchi soup was blah. Wtf Olive Garden you ruined my day!
I ordered a cute onesie to use in the photo for our pregnancy announcement on the 13th. The etsy seller said they ship in 3-5 business days.
I emailed them Saturday asking for an update as my order just says "paid" not "shipped" yet. She still hasn't responded!!! Then I saw the review that this seems to have been a problem before for other customers! Argh....
@brookert615 I'm a web and graphic designer working in corporate marketing/advertising for the last 10 years, and the people who call themselves designers never cease. Yes, my profession is clearly a hobby that anyone with an interest can pick up for fun in their spare time and do on the side from home *endless eyerolls*. Also if you know what rubylith is, it's time to retire. Sorry you had to deal with that. Good for you for not shouting back and hanging up.
BF is summer colds- everyone is our house has one right now. Boo hiss.
@craftywitch I snorted at the rubylith! You could definitely tell she's the receptionist/designer at her sister's audiology business. Her sister is well in her 60's so I knew she was old from the get-go 🙄. She kept saying that we were "talking the same language" and I'm like no we aren't... LOL. Also totally agree with the summer colds! Hope everyone feels better, stat!
My husband travels for work most of the time. He is home this week, so we thought he’d be able to go to my ultrasound tomorrow. He just got scheduled for a conference call at the exact same time. 😡
My Monday complaint is my husband telling me that I don’t have morning sickness and that I only feel gross because I’m eating too many simple carbohydrates. So to him, I vomit everyday because I’m not eating more oatmeal and milk and instead opting for saltines and soda. It has nothing to do with carrying his babies... not a thing! It’s all my poor diet. 😡
My family is being butt sniffers this week. First my mom undermines me when I am chastising my daughter for bad behavior, then my grandparents that my husband has been helping up and decided they don't need us because I said last time that my grandfather had no right disciplining my kid for something all the kids did, and finally(not family but still) my closest friend said I need counseling because I am too hard on my kids when all I did was tell them not to go out of my sight because I don't want them getting kidnapped. Eff everyone this week.
I’m a SAHM (mostly) and my DH told me that I only think it’s hard because I’ve built it up in my mind and that he knows that’s true because not every single person who stays at home thinks it is hard. So, I’m waiting until the next time he takes a vacation from work and I’m going out of town. ✌️
@merigoround I think our husbands would get along greeeeaaat
@doodleoodle as a working mom, I can honestly say that staying home with DS is harder! I usually work 3 12-hour shifts, and I still taken DS to daycare/preschool on my weekdays off because I just can’t. I can’t get stuff done, and he’s emotionally exhausting. My job is physically exhausting, but it’s not as hard as staying home.
@daffodil_shoe I’m not even saying one is harder than the other because I’m sure that working full time has it's own set of issues. I can only imagine juggling everything. So, I don’t blame you at all for keeping him in daycare on your off days. Routine is good for them anyway, right?! 😂 It is exhausting being home with them though. It’s not one little thing. It’s everything combined: waking up with them (still) at night, getting up super early, rarely having alone time, and oh my gosh I had to speak in an English accent for 2 hours today because my 3 year old decided she was Peppa pig and I was mommy pig. Plus it is so lonely. I got a part time job solely for adult interaction.
@doodleoodle as a SAHM I can only laugh at your husbands comment. I’m glad you’re going out of town and he gets a chance to stay home with the kids lol I always enjoy when my h is home alone with both our kids for any amount of time to validate how much work it is to stay home all day. I’ve been a working mom and SAHM and they are both so Hard in different ways. I don’t like the idea that one is harder, it’s not a competition. Being a mom is hard. Period. Some days I would love to go back to work Just for a change in routine.
